She'd purposely picked the beach side she knew Brande would not be at. She was still furious over his behavior recently, and had decided distance was the best medicine right now. The cool water look so enticing, she picked up her pace and nearly ran straight into the waves, wading out shoulder's deep into the water. (She hated getting her wings wet but her back was the hottest of all.) Quote: Kade stood nibbling the sparse beach grasses with his wings spread wide shielding his face from the fierce sun. His ears perked at the sound of the loud splashes from further down the sands. He left his green snack to trot down the beach to investigate the sounds. At first he was perplexed by what he saw. From his view it seemed like a big bird had landed in the water, possibly attempting to snare it's seafood dinner. But the longer he looked the less he thought that that was the case. The wings were much too large and the body didn't seem to float with the movement of the waves. "Hello?" he called out twisting his head to the side in curiosity. Trying to toss her soaking hair out of her eyes, Atlas peered along the shore, spotting a massive stallion. He was about the size of her father, Dante, or her brother, Ignatius. He even resembled their faces, their noses. She knew she'd never met him before though. She turned, raising her wing in a greeting motion. "Hello!" she called, a friendly smile spread across her face as another wave came crashing down from behind her, pushing her forward. She giggled at the motion, and steadied her stance in the water. Quote: Kade perked up as he realized that the 'bird' was really a mare with wings that rivaled the size of his own. And a rather attractive one at that in his opinion. He stepped a bit closer to the edge of the water so that he could be more easily heard and they wouldn't have to yell quite as much. "I don't think those feathers are meant to be fins darlin'. I'd say they'd be much more useful cutting through clouds than waves." Quote: Atlas nearly choked on the cheesiness of the stallion, giggling past the splashes of water that waved up on her. "Haha, I believe you're right! But its too hot to be flying up there right now, wouldn't you agree?" She eyed his own wings, that while were not as large as her family's, were still quite impressive. Another wave washed over her, nearly knocking her forward. She decided to more towards shore, and the stallion, sopping wet. She felt so much cooler, the breeze mixing with her wet fur and hair. It was truly a beautiful day. "So, are you new around here?"
