It was a little hard to believe that something so wonderful could come out of something so horrible. That was Cami's thought as she drowsed in bed at the end of the second-most harrowing experience in her entire life. The Tower of Ancients had been horrible. Yes, she'd nearly died. Was pretty sure she did die at one point and it was only through the grace of Excalibur that she'd come back. Still, it couldn't hold a (haha) candle to being set on fire with a runic bomb. Cami was pretty sure that one was going to be difficult to beat. Yet she was curled up in a bed that was almost too small for the three of them as Maebe curled up on Otto's good side so that his left arm was clear out of danger. Cami was curled around them both as much as her inches of height would allow, one arm stretched clear across the Moon trainee to rest against the center of Otto's chest. She could feel Maebe breathe. Could feel Otto's heartbeat. Fell asleep in perfect contentment. Woke up trying not to scream. Still her heart was racing, she was covered in a light sheen of sweat, and her face was wet with tears. Thudding her head lightly against Maebe's shoulder, the hand on Otto's chest closed into a fist. "********! ******** ******** ********." It was quiet in the stillness of the room but nonetheless pitched and breathy with horror.

She never did get her dessert. It was Cami, and not the nightmare, that woke Maebe up. Her own nightmare had been full of so much resignation, so much sad acceptance. If it weren't for the girl whispering curse words against her body, she probably would have just fallen back asleep out of sheer depression. She lifted one arm sleepily, wrapping it around Cami's head, and her fingers were immediately lost in the girl's hair. "S'okay." Maebe whispered. "S'okay. I'm here." She was only half there, still drowsy with sleep and sadness. But for whatever she might have gone through, Cami's dream must have been worse. It helped that Maebe was in the only place she considered tolerable, at that moment. Nestled so safely between these two very specific bodies, to the point where even if she'd wanted to leave, she couldn't. But she hadn't wanted to, so it never came up.

Otto's nightmare had not been shocking to a point of waking him in a sudden scream. It was just another reminder of what his life revolved around. The concept of Death was once again a weight brought back into his mind. A deep and heavy sadness that grounded him. Otto woke to murmurings and movement. His heart felt heavy, his mood low, and his injuries throbbing dully. If not for the company he kept, he might have cried. But he wasn't alone, and be it pride or simply their comfortable presence, he did not allow tears to fall. He gave a deep breath, trying to rid his chest of the weight of his emotions. His good arm was stuck and warm behind Maebe's back somewhere. Lost to him for now. ".....Wht'swrng?" He murmured, slightly delirious.

Cami wished she could have had a nightmare that was nothing more than sad resignation. Hers was a series of 'too late' moments. Too late to do anything but come home to a lukewarm tub where the water was more red than pink. Alone at fifteen. Though her mother had never really taken care of her emotionally, physically there was a lot of comfort, and some mother was better than no mother at all. She saw Otto falling beneath the weight of his chains, crippled and broken because she hadn't been there to shoot the creature on his back. Maebe's head handed to the dark queen on the battlefield who'd menaced at them for her 'kitty'. Peyton burning. On and on with the deaths of everyone she loved because she was just too late. Death in and of itself, as a concept, did not bother Cami. People died and sometimes that was all you could do was let them choose what happened. Saving her mother had been a weakness and something that, as the years passed, Cami had flogged herself for. She'd taken that choice away selfishly and paid for it dearly in the way her mother had been afterwards. Certainly Vanessa had never forgiven her daughter. Maebe's hand was in her hair but Cami's good hand was roving over her neck, down her body, making sure that everything was where it was supposed to be before starting against with Otto. Her invasion of his body was a little less familiar because there was a different relationship there, clinical but thorough. "No chains. Maebe still has her head." It sounded like it had been horrible. It had.

It was time to actually wake up, when she realized Cami was roaming her body with her hands. So she opened her eyes and took a good look at her view, pressing her face against Otto's chest affectionately before turning to lie on her back. Her own hands were on her neck, checking just to be sure. "Yup. Still here." Cami must have had a nightmare too, though Deus in general was a shared nightmare in and of itself. Waking from one nightmare, to dive into another. At least this one had its good moments. She remembered Otto's chains, but she did not remember losing her head on their mission. Then again, she couldn't remember exactly what had happened when she was as good as dead, but she figured she'd have some kind of scar or memento of such a drastic change in her body figure, if that had happened. "We're both all in one piece. Safe and sound. At least - " She bent her arm back, and checked to make sure Otto was all in one piece. "Yeah. Everything important still present and accounted for."

It was Cami making the fuss. He turned his head, tilting his body onto his good side with a lot of pain and difficulty. He eventually gave up and laid on his back like before. A tilted head would have to do. Cami's touching was met without resistance, though he was curious as to why. When that question was answered, he knew. She'd dreamt of their mission. However, Maebe's manhandling was met with a sudden inhale of breath, giving the blonde a scandalized glare. " Y'mind?" He uttered in a harsh whisper.

"A little." She whispered back, refusing to let go. "I'm sure it'll be better in a minute."

"Pleaseletgo." He whispered back tightly, his teeth grit.

For whatever reason, Maebe couldn't keep teasing Otto when he begged so nicely. So she did let go, lifting her hand to her lips and kissing it, before bringing it back down to pat her prize lovingly. "Anything you want." She murmured, wrapping her arm tight around his waist instead. She, for her efforts, was hoping that all of this had brought a smile to Cami's face, so she turned back to check.

Face still pressed against Maebe's shoulder she couldn't keep back the soft giggle in the darkness as Otto all but choked on his tongue, scandalized by the wicked creature between them. Tucking her tongue in her cheek her fingertips moved back towards softer, peachier skin to trace her own way to make sure everything was where it should be. "Thank you for being so thorough, Maebe baby. It's always comforting to have help when I'm feeling shy." Shy was a word that no one could possibly attribute to Camille Ryland in general yet she was not about to reach anywhere below Otto's waist. Ever. Maebe's waist, on the other hand, was very much her playground. "Though if you insist on being depraved can you at least lemme know so I can move back to the other bed?" Which wasn't going to happen so the odds of Maebe being depraved with Otto, in that moment, were slim to none unless Otto somehow got over his shyness in the next three seconds. Which might have actually been interesting. Remembering why she was awake, why these thoughts were even going through her head, she sighed. "Sorry I...nightmares. They don't come as often as they used to but I guess I kinda deserved that one." Lightly she placed a kiss against Maebe's shoulder and patted Otto over his heart, her favorite place to touch him, reassuringly. "You guys ok?" She was starting to feel stupid.

The gentle patting was no better. She was teasing the poor guy. He simply laid there, gritting his teeth and trying to kill any lusty thoughts by imagining Rep pole dancing. It killed said thoughts dead. A light pat over his heart, however, was just fine for this moment. He calmed down from being so flustered, sobering. "M'fine. I had a bad dream too, but... that's not new."

Maebe had begrudgingly stopped teasing Otto, but that did not mean Cami would fail to get revenge for him. Sure enough, Maebe was making muffled little sounds that might have indicated said revenge, but she wasn't against the idea like Otto was. In fact; "I most certainly will not. If you haven't learned by now, I am always depraved, and I won't let that keep you away from me. So, everyone better get used to it, or you might as well kick me out now. I get grabby." She proved her point by squeezing Cami's chest. "Grabby." She repeated sternly. "So did I." Now that was interesting. All three of them had a nightmare, on the same night. Was that normal? She supposed it might have been, after what they'd gone through. She let it pass, refusing to put too much stock in it. "Even more reason why I refuse to let you leave this bed, even if I can't keep my hands off of Otto. Or you." Maebe came with a set of rules after all. Who knew?

Otto's heart was going so fast and it just made her giggle again though, thankfully, there was enough going on that he might not realize she was laughing at him. Teasing Otto wasn't something Cami did much, at least, not when it came to sexual things. Not yet, anyway. Eventually she'd cross that line but for now, as usual, Maebe was making up for all of the redhead's deficiencies in brilliant fashion. Cami wouldn't touch or tease Otto so Maebe would do it for her. It was so very convenient! She wasn't sure how to feel about the fact she was basically groped to make a scientific point but some was better than none so she returned the favor before letting her hand rest back down against Otto's much slower heart. "I don't mind what you do to me but I was just trying to give Otto some privacy." She lingered on the word. "Not everyone believes that level of sharing is caring, Maebe baby. You know that." They were awful. Truly horrible. Why did Otto love them again? "'M not gonna kick you out though. You're too snuggly." Peering through the dark at her best friend she asked his opinion. "Otto, what d'you think?"

"Whatdo I think about what?" Otto asked, exasperated. Maebe was distracting them both now, in a way he'd not prepared for. Sexy fun times was great and all, but a legit threesome sounded not only intimidating, but impossible. Not just for his ow insecurity to handle, but also his body. They were all injured. Unless the girls had some sort of petting session in mind. And that too, was still a No. A big No. Why was it a No? He wasn't sure, but he No'd it anyway. "And no, no one leaves." He murmured with a tired huff, his face burning red. "Leavin' the bed is totally off limits." Too hot in that bed. Too hot. Otto kicked the bedding away from his feet to cool down.

Otto's exasperation made Maebe giggle against Cami's neck. It was so hard to not melt when he got frustrated, because it was charming as hell. This was probably why she'd never been able to tear herself away from him - because he was frustrated so much. "I think she was asking for your verdict on whether I'm too naughty to keep in the bed. Which you've just handed down, anyway. No take backs." She turned her head towards him, craning up to press a kiss against his lips. After all, he could have easily told her it was time to leave, and she wouldn't have blamed him. She was dangerous, this close. And so easily encouraged. "I guess we have no choice then," She turned her head in the other direction, and kissed Cami this time. When she pulled away, her lower lip was still in Maebe's teeth. She let it go, and kissed the plump, swollen lower lip. "Do you." Her voice sounded a lot more hesitant, now. "Need to. Talk about it?" She'd ventured into unknown territory. "Your dream."
