Bailey: *Hairflip* Was that really necessary? >>

Yule | The Ulaya's ears perked up at the sound, quickly finding the source of the voice. Urgently, he stood up and trotted over to the other male, biting his lip. "Hey, you okay?" He asked, flicking his tail with mild distress. The male looked fine, but he did just crash on the ground.

Bailey shook his head, his braid whipping back and forth. "I'm- I'm fine. Yeah." He stumbled up onto his paws and shook his fur out. "Yeah. Perfectly fine. Thanks." After shaking his fur back into place, he tossed his head to let his hair flip just so. Someone was a little vain. "Thanks for asking, though, sport." He was already checking the other boy out a little. Bailey smiled a cocky grin. "...Isn't it a little too warm for scarves, bucko?"

Yule | "Oh, wonderful," he replied, tension draining from his muscles. "I was worried about you there, haha. Your hair looks good, though, despite the tumble you took." He smiled sheepishly, a paw toying with an end of his scarf. A light chuckle escaped him. "It gets cold at night out in the woods. Plus, it's really soft." He lifted his paw, offering his scarf to the other. "You're welcome to feel it for yourself."

"You better believe it looks good. Keeping a braid together like this isn't as easy as it looks, y'know." Bailey had a good moment of feeling like he saved his first impression, but then this ulaya offered to let him touch an article of clothing. He blinked, not used to this sort of thing. "Um...sure, I guess." Bailey pawed it. Yep, soft. But still too warm for this summer heat. "Maybe I'll have to get me one of those come winter." he said with a chuckle. It didn't take long before he struggled for another topic. Couldn't let things get awkward, after all. "Soooo what happened to your tail? It looks...splintered? Or something? Rabbit...y? Maybe?" Or he could just be awkward anyways. That was an option too.

Yule | "I can only imagine," he nodded. He smiled at the other's comment about his scarf. "You should! I'm sure I could find one for you, if you would like." Yule did not understand that his generosity and kindness could be off-putting to others. He was just a nice guy, selfless and always looking out for others. Others tended to find him a little strange, or assume there was some sort of catch to his behavior. No one could be that nice, after all. But these realizations and observations never occurred to this Ulaya. He did not even notice the other's awkwardness or discomfort. "I'm not too sure," he replied, looking over his shoulder at his rather odd tail. "Kinda like a deer, maybe." He turned his gaze back to the other. "And you have some stuff on your butt," he noticed. "Is it supposed to be there?"

"OH. Uh. Well. That would be..." Bailey cleared his throat, not used to that kind of outright kindness. Was this flirting? Or was this some sort of naive niceness? Or an empty promise just to be amiable? It was hard to tell. Well, either way... "That'd be cool. If you could. I mean, I'm fine no matter what. I've got enough fur that I won't FREEZE, but, y'know." He shrugged. "I can't say no to a nice accessory."

Fortunately the tail thing didn't go too badly. The deer idea was cute, though, for whatever reason. "Would that make you Dasher?" Bailey smirked, thinking himself funny. That face quickly fell when Yule pointed out the most embarrassing thing about Bailey's appearance. "Oh. Yeah. The, uh, butt cream? It's uhhhhh a chronic problem." he said with a somewhat sheepish grin. "So I guess that'd be a yes? It keeps trying to melt. Guess I'm just that hot." It was an effort to save the moment, at least.

Yule | "Mmm, good! I always offer what I can. Come winter, you're welcome to find me in my den and take what you need." Yes, Yule was far too nice. "Dasher, hm? Perhaps. I'm not the fastest one around, though, y'know?" He laughed at the other's remark about the cream. "That's funny, haha. You might just be too hot for it. Maybe you don't really need a scarf after all." He had almost forgotten his manners, an unusual thing for him. "I'm so sorry, I'm Yule, by the way. Nice meeting ya!"
