Kadryn put her pot down and blew out the fire in the stove. Something was off. It was too quiet in the house.. when it was this quiet, it meant that Kirosh and the boys were up to no good. Putting away the left over food and covering the pie she'd just baked, she hung up her apron and wandered about eh house looking for her boys.
No one upstairs, though Kirosh's gear and bow were gone, no one down stairs.. the boys room (they shared one now that they were old enough to move out of the nursery) was a mess.
She looked outside and saw a small figure scuttling into the barn. Ah ha! Sneaking the back door, she went around back towards the barn where the animals were kept, keeping to the sides of the house or trees so she could sneak up on the rascals.

"Come on Peralian." he said as he called for his twin, running towards the barn. Their father was waiting for them and they had to get Leirs!
"If we hurry mom will never know we're we've gone!" he said with a mischievous smirk. They were going hunting with their Pa, and he was more than excited. He would let them be more dangerous, more risky. If their mother came with them than they would have to be more careful. He loved his mother to death, but she was... Well she was a mother. And mother ruined fun sometimes.
He looked around. His twin was taking forever! If it was anyone other than Peralian he wouldn't have waited, but for his twin there was nothing that he wouldn't do.

Peralian, lugging a bucket filed with stuff and covered, stuck his tongue out at his brother. "I'm coming! Don't worry. Momma is busy cleaning. We've got time." He did hurry up though, they needed to get Leirs out of here! They were going to ride him! Without momma! It was going to be so much fun. Opening the bucket to reveal a mixture of bugs and fish, he set it down for Leirs to eat while he and his twin scampered to get the saddle for the Borgnah. Who was watching them curiously They were his master's offspring so he made no move to harm them. But why should he obey them? He thought as he gobbled teh food. Silly little things. Couldn't they since master approaching? Kadryn snuck over and peeked into the barn to see her twins trying to saddle her borgnah mount. She stifled a giggle when she saw Leirs was deliberately foiling their plans, moving and twitching just out of the way. o saddle and no bridle was he allowing to be put on him! She was curious as to what they were up to, so she motioned for Leirs to sit. Let's see what they're up too... Kiorhs is probably at the root of this, she thought with amusement. He did love to cause trouble! Then she stepped back and hide herself. Let's see what they do. If it was just riding Leirs around in the valley, no problem. If it was more.. well, she'd put a halt to it!

Yes mom was cleaning, but for how long? They needed to make their escape, and make it quickly. He smiled as he watched Leirs eat. Good, maybe since they fed him he would listen to them? He was more likely to listen to someone if they fed him, so why should Leirs be any different?
However it seemed that Leirs wasn't as cooperative as Tarlen was when he was fed. Tarlen frowned as he and his brother tried to saddle up the beast, failing greatly. Just as he was sure that they had the bridle on Leirs moved away. "Come on Leirs! We're going on an adventure!" he pleaded with the beast. It seemed that as he said that Kadryn motioned for Leirs to sit, causing Tarlen to think that Leirs was listening to him.
"Good Leirs!" he said proudly as he stuck his tongue out at his brother. Look at that, he was the master of creatures! "What do you think we're going to do with Pa today?" he asked his twin as they saddled Leris.

Peralian grinned when his brother got Leirs to sit. He wasn't that good with animals... but his twin was! "Hunting! Pa said he'd teach us something." He said as he fiddled with the bridle and saddle. "How does momma get this to work?" He asked as he tried to figure out how where all the straps on the saddle went. Leirs sighed as he felt them tie it to him.. incorrectly of course. But master had given him the sign to behave so he wouldn't toss them... though he could. He knew exactly how to get out of this saddle... they hadn't even buckled it right! Master must have some reason to torture him like this right? maybe she'll let me toss them later... "I hope it's learning how to track though." Peralian said as he clambered up into the saddle. "I want to go and catch creatures! What do you think we're gonna do, Tarlen?"Kadryn smiled as she heard their words. She knew it!Once the boys were in the saddle, she waited for one of them to try and get Leirs to move, when they did so, she gave him a sign that he'd been trained to recognize. It meant" Go find Kirosh." Or in Leirs book. "Find the lanky one that had masters scent on him." An easy task. Kadryn kept pace with Leirs as he did so; hidden and stalking her twins. Why not get some practice out of it?

He was proud of himself, so in trying to saddle up Lairs he was very confident that he was doing it right. However that was far from the case. It was surprising that the saddle even stayed on. "Just like that, you did it right." he said praising his brother. It looked right to him.
He climbed on behind his twin, settling in. The seating felt weird, but he payed it no mind. Her and Peralian had done this by themselves, and he was very very proud of them. When he brother guessed he nodded. "Yea, I hope it's tracking as well. That way we can get our own beasts!" he said excitedly. He wanted his own pet that he and his brother could ride.
"Go Leirs!" he said in his most commanding voice. Just like before he got lucky, as that was when his mother told the beast to move. His chest swelled with pride. He couldn't wait to show their Pa how he had gotten Leirs to listen to him! "Plus we can hunt and bring home food for everyone! Or fight dragons!" he had big goals, even if there was no way he would be able to do them at his age.

a pet dino Okay.. I know I typed this one out already.. apparently it got lost when my computer decided to act up yesterday.... Peralian sat happily on the back and watched as the trees passed by. He loved riding on Leirs. Much more fun than a Hastar! Smoother ride too. "I wanna learn to hunt! Then I can catch a Rajsha." He declared loudly, as if tracking would mean he could catch and train a wild beast. Kirosh, sitting on his mount and waiting for ht boys to show up sighed when he saw them. It was Leirs. Which meant... yup. His empty sockets saw Kadryn perched in a tree. She blew him a kiss before vanishing into the mist. Leirs was her mount, stubborn, arrogant, and had an independent streak a mile wide. There was no way the boys would have gotten him saddled and out if not for her. He didn't even let Kirosh ride him! "You were supposed to get here without letting your mother know." He said wryly. As he cast an eye over the poorly tied saddle. "I'm also amazed Leirs hasn't tossed you.. that saddle is not tied at all."

"Yes and I can get an Alkara! Or maybe even a Cah!" He could see it now, the two of them with their awesome animals that they caught all on their own. Now their father just had to teach them how to do so.
When they got closer to their father Tarlen frowned slightly. What did he mean? "But she doesn't know! We saddled up Leirs all by ourselves, and I told him to go and he went. Mom's at home cleaning or something. We snuck off. " he said proudly as he got up Leirs, looking at the saddle. It looked right to him? Maybe his dad was just messing with him.

Kadryn chuckled as Tarlen spoke. She spread her wings and fluttered over to land on Leirs back. "He went because I told him to go silly." She said as she reached out to fluff both of the twin's hair. "And your da's right. If Leirs sneezed this saddle would slide off." She grabbed both of them and hopped off. Peralian gumbled to himself then pouted up at his mother, "But it stayed on! So it can't have been that bad....How'd you know momma?"Handing the twins to Kirosh she grinned. "It got too quiet!" Then she turned to untie, resettle, the properly tie the saddle on. "Good boy. Thanks for not throwing them," she said to Leirs as she gave him a strip of jerky to gnaw on. Kirosh just sighed and hook his head.

Noooooo, how could this have happened? The two of them were so careful. "Exactly. We made it all the way here, so it can't be all that bad..." he grumbled when she said that Leirs saddle could've easily fallen off. He watched as his mother put on the saddle properly, trying his best to remember all the steps so they would be able to do it perfectly next time.
Ah so she was alerted because the house was quiet... Hum, they would have to find a way to fix that. Make it so there was still noise after he and his brother left. He cuddled up to his father. "Sorry." he said with a weak smile. He had tried to get away without their mother, and he thought he and his brother had done excellently. However he hadn't counted on his mom knowing that they were missing. Must be her mom powers.

Kirosh set the twins down in front of him and smiled. " Don't be sorry Tarlen. Kadryn's just got ninja skills for sensing when you two are up to something. Well, since she knows I guess we can just leave with out sneaking.""Where were you going to take them?" Kadryn asked curiously. "They mentioned hunting... some silly idea about wanting to capture Alkara, Rajsha... Cah...." She smirked. Ha, little tykes like them try and capture one of those? They'd be a snack for any one of those creatures! Kirosh laughed. "No hunting! I'm just taking them out to start teaching them how to track. Nothing dangerous since they'll just be eaten." Peralian crossed his arms and gave a pouty glare at their mother. "It's not a silly idea! And why can't we do real hunting da? We're ready!" And they were! He was certain of it. If da was there they could definitely do it!

Leave out the sneaking, yeah it was pointless at this point but still, that was the fun part. As his mother spoke he looked from his father to her. "They aren't silly!" he said angrily, echoing his brother, as he defended their wishes. They would capture the animals, maybe not today since his mother was there but they would do it. It wasn't very nice of her to call their plans silly. He crossed his arms and turned towards his brother with an expression of annoyance. Than when his father said no hunting, but instead tracking his frown grew bigger.
"We won't be eaten." he insisted. But he would be willing to learn to track, that just meant that when he and Peralian ran off they would be able to track creatures and hunt them down! Tracking was just first step towards hunting. Maybe this wouldn't be too horrible.

a pet dino If you ever want to do a solo, and just have Kirosh as an NPC that's fine! Just so those two can get into trouble. Kirosh laughed as the boys defended their positions. "I've been wanting an Arrical myself... And you've got a Borgnah, sweet heart. No reason to call our dreams silly!" "It's silly at their age. They need to at least get some height on them so they don't look like snacks to the animals. I'll take them more seriously once they get growth and muscles." Kadryn retorted as she flicked a finger and tweaked Tarlen's nose. "You will too be eaten. Stick to learning how to walk before you run. Learn to track so you don't end up following tracks of a dangerous creature thinking it's something else. Once you get a bit older, your father and I can start teaching you how to fight.... Or other crafts and stuff if you don't wish to be a fighter." Not that she thought they'd take a different path. These two scamps were very much in the molds of their parents... they'd be fighters since it was the warriors who were able to venture into the wilds. Peralian slouched against his father and sighed. "Okay.. fine. We'll learn to track then hunt.... But what about magic momma? I wanna do magic too."

He nodded as their father defended them. That's right, their dreams were silly. Though he didn't know that his father wanted a Arrical. Their house was gonna be full of all kinds of beasts! He couldn't wait.
Taller, more muscles. That would happen soon. He moved his head when his mother tweaked his nose, a smile at his lips even if he didn't want it to be there. He loved his mother dearly, but he did wish that she would see him for who he was. Neither he nor his brother were simple little kids. They weren't snacks for anyone or any animal. "Ha, I've already been working with my bow!" they wouldn't need to teach him much to fight. He watched his dad, he knew.
When his brother said something about magic he nodded. "Yes tracking, and than magic!" that was one thing that he needed to learn more about. He wasn't amazing at it, but he still needed had a lot to learn.
robot kitten Thanks! I feel odd feeling other peoples OCs but I will most likely end up using him sometime!

a pet dino And wrapping this up~ We can do another rp later. I need to clear my plate before I start more O.O Too much going on!I grew Peral.. though won't do anything to Apprentice-y for a bit. We can have young PRP's with just them soon if you want~ It's fine if you do solo's with Kirosh.. but if it's a PRP, can you let me play him? I'm... slightly possessive XD He's got info on him in Kadryn's thread. Or click the Robo's OC's in my siggy to go to my site. It's got more info. Kadryn smiled when Peralian mentioned magic; he did seem to be more into books than she or Kirosh were! "I'm not that good at magic personally.. but I'm sure we can find someone to help teach you in the Tribe..." She sat on Leirs and grinned at her boys; I'm off to finish my chores... try not to drive your father crazy! Next time you want to take Leirs out... ask me." She said as Leirs turned and scuttled away back tot he barn. Kirosh looked down at the twins and smiled. "Well, we didn't manage to sneak away... but looks like we get to have a mommy free time anyways! So.. first things about tracking---" He started his talk as he turned the Hastar down into the mists to teach them the basics. Peralian put magic off to the side for a bit; much as he wanted to learn it now, it was enough his mother would look for ways to teach him. He'd remind her soon... but for now; hunting! If he wanted one of those sleek cool looking Rajsha. he needed to learn to track!
