Jinpachi had tracked down the peak spider to it's web. A trail of twists and turns up a winding road that few cars went up or down. Both because all that was at the top was a scenic look out and a shrine, and because it was just a hellish drive. But for a climber, it was the perfect training ground.
It was also rumored to be the secret training area of his favorite spider.
Pedaling down a slope, eye peeled for the green hair Toudou Jinpachi called for his 'friend/rival'.
"Maki-chan~!"

Maki was out here to get away.
Away from ...everything, basically. The Peak Spider was winding up these perfect climbing hills. He wasn't even dancing at this point, just using leg muscles to get himself up. Blue eyes were focused ahead of him and then he heard him.
Glancing over his shoulder, Maki took one look at Toudou and stood up on his pedals, starting to dance and cut his way up the hills faster. Nope, not today, Jinpachi.

Too bad for Makishima, Toudou was very much a spirited climber. And worse, a very spirited friend.
Spirited a polite way of saying slightly crazy and eccentric.
As Makishima stood and began his swaying climb Toudou started to pedal faster, not bothering to live up to his name. "Maki-Chan!" He waved at the lanky biker.
A deep breath as Makishima got further away, Toudou pushed until he was gaining and near enough to talk. "You haven't been answering my texts Maki-chan. You been ignoring me?" He tried his best to sound hurt. Because in a way, he was.

Makishima just sighed when Toudou caught up to him. Honestly, the green haired Audio hadn't been trying very hard to get away. He knew he could beat Toudou if he tried. God dammit! "Oh.. You were texting me...?" Maki sat back down and just rolled his eyes. Toudou wouldn't stop, would he? That was his personality, the little snob. "It's.. hard to get a signal sometimes. I've got early nights and everything, with all the training I've been doing..." Not entirely a lie, but not the truth. He read Toudou's texts, but was just too lazy to reply.

Toudou didn't buy it. A day didn't go by that an Audio didn't have their cell on them at all times. Unless they didn't have one in which case they should have. "You were ignoring me." A finger brought up and out, he pointed at his rival. "Or was it that you were so nervous when I asked you for a race you couldn't reply?" He doubted that was the case but hey, it might rile the audio up for a run. "The best training is experience after all, and I need someone who won't just fall to far behind in a race." It was about him after all. Tossing his hair back, the finger returned to pointing. "So how about it Maki-chan? A race up- real training."

Maki put a finger in his ear and scratched it as Toudou went on about who knew what. Why was he even here? The Peak Spider sighed when Jinpachi actually took that road to try to get him to race. Squinting at the other, he snorted and just raised himself up to start his odd climb dancing away. If it was a race he wanted, well, Maki would give it to him. "Trail along, Jinpachi, like you always do," he muttered to himself, a grin on his face.

He could tell Maki wasn't listening to him. It didn't bother that much but it was still annoying. Didn't Maki like talking to him? Listening? Okay maybe Toudou was just imagining it but he tried anyway. Either way, as Maki started to dance, Toudou knew that it had started. It was time to climb and push towards the top as fast as he could. Even if the view from behind Maki wasn't half bad. Shake it like you mean it- Maki really did mean to win. Just what Toudou wanted from a rival. "You think you'll be king of the mountain Maki-chan? I think the colors would look better on me."

"Nothing looks good on you," he muttered under his breath. Maki just continued to spider his way along, trying to get away from Toudou. It was that, and this is how their friendship worked. Maki acted like he wasn't interested, Toudou chased him. Sometimes Maki chased Toudou, but it wasn't often that happened. "You know I am always King of the Mountain."
