The lake water ebbed and flowed beneath the rock she sat on, it's pattern unchanging as Ikkio dipped the brush in the water and began to carefully brush her sister's moon-white hair. It was smooth and soft and fun to play with.
Ikkio twisted it gently in her hand, playing with its straightnesss. Her own hair was soft and curly, nothing like her twins. "Ikuri?" she asked, dipping the brush in the water again before shaking the excess moisture loose from her brush - Ikuri's hair had enough water in it and was brushed perfectly. It was time. "Are you sure you want to do this? We made this together, remember, and it won't wash out for a long, long time." She moved the colorful glass flask closer, the viscous contents inside swishing artfully. "We made very sure, didn't we sister?" Her voice, once a deceptively innocent chime, had matured with her teenage years into a soft, sultry purr, promising truth and lies and so much more with every word. "That it would be as permanent as anything can be."
"So..." she continued, uncorking the bottle, "You are going to have to be very..." she emphasized the word, "very sure you want to do this." she swished the bottle in her hand, the sweet floral oily chemicall-y scent of it faint but present. She ran her fingers through her sister's hiar, her yellow eyes unreadably predatory. "Are you?" she asked, letting the lock flow over her hand and away. "Are you absolutely sure?"

Ikuri sat there in bliss as her sister brushed her hair. It was so peaceful by the lake, and she did love when her hair was brushed. However today wasn't just a normal day. Today her hair was going to change. It was going to be the same color as her sisters. She had been wanting it to be like her twins for the longest time, and finally it was going to be!
Her sister pulled her out of her trance by calling her name. She nodded slightly. "Yes I'm sure. I hope it never washes out. We were careful that it should be as permanent as anything." she said with a laugh. She knew that as her hair grew she would have to put more of the dye in, but it didn't bother her.
Her sister asked again and she rolled her eyes. She didn't know why Ikkio was asking so much. Ikuri had already told her that this was what she wanted to do. "Yes yes, get on with it sister of mine." she chimed happily. Although her sisters voice was more of a purr Ikuri's still had the innocent and happy tone of a child. It seemed that Ikkio's chest wasn't the only thing that bloomed on her before Ikuri's.

Ikkio laughed and stroked her sister's head. "If you say so, my lovely." she purred, pouring some of the dye into her sister's hair and working it in with a bone comb and her hands. It was thick and gloopy, but it would take, attaching to the pure white strands of her sisters hair and making it the exact hue that Ikuri had wanted. "I'm so delighted." said Ikkio softly, "Just simply overjoyed that you like my hair so much." She brushed in the dye, watching it become light purple, working it down Ikuri's long, smooth hair. "I was so surprised when you said you wanted to dye your own, though!" Surprised yes, but pleasantly so.
Her sister had wanted to be like her. That was a delicious amount of power, the sort she had never once dreamed of having over the other girl. It only seemed like just the hair, but that much marked Ikuri as hers, and no one else's. Not their mother's, not their father's, Ikkio's.
Ikkio applied more dye and worked it in as well - they would use the whole thing, just to be sure. "I wonder..." she murmured, smirking, "What our dear mother will think?"
