Lexus's fingers glided softly across the Sakura tree's blossoms. She managed to smile lightly, its been quite some time since she's been out here... and going early in the morning seems to benefit her. The lack of people made her feel like it was a small little piece of reality that only belonged to her.
"I still have things I need to do in BB today... damn."
She spoke softly, her fingers falling back to her side, her baggy clothes shifted softly as she began to jog again. Her breath seemed heavy, but it was one of few things she enjoyed still in this world, the other was the fact she was nothing here and a ruler in another reality.

Haruki sat on a bench next to the paved walkway, reading a book in silence, tapping a pen against his lower lip as he scribbled small annotations here and there as he read. Books were getting increasingly rare as more people turned to NeuroLinkers to go about their daily activities. He had his legs crossed and the book rested on his knees as he raised a hand to adjust his glasses before flipping the page, his eyes looking over the page rather quickly. He thought he heard something and looked up to see a female jogging by. He looked away as he turned up his NeuroLinker and started to check his mail for reports regarding anything going on in the Accelerated World, searching for anything or anyone that needed to be 'corrected'. So far there was nothing as he muttered quietly to himself.
Nothing new on our turf...As expected...

Lexus noticed a man sitting on a bench ahead of her, she took note of his glasses, his posture... he seemed professional. Maybe he was into accounting? She jogged passed, but stopped as she found a book caught her eye. She hasn't really seen a paper book since last year when she obtained a copy of Alice In Wonderland for her birthday. She has a sizable collection... but then again she also seems to be odd for owning them as well.
She managed to stop over thinking, and smiled as she tucked her hair behind her ear.
"Hi... sorry, but can I ask what book that is?" She spoke softly, catching her breath. She twitched slightly as her Neuro Linker chimed softly, she looked over at the icon then back at the man. She wasn't going to check it now, it seemed to be an update mail, probably from another Legion King. Lexus was known for her diplomacy... and her abilities.
She shifted in her place as she just waited.

Haruki was tapping his pen against his lower lip while he read. He felt a shift in the atmosphere as he looked up in time to see the female who was running around earlier approaching him. He looked up at her curiously as he put his index finger in the middle of the book before slightly closing it up as he put the pen away. When he was asked what he was reading he raised the book and showed her the cover, revealing the title.
Just an old book called Through the Looking Glass by a man named Lewis Caroll...
Haruki gently laid the book on his lap since its pages were weathered from constant turning and time. It was a book that Haruki was greatly intrigued by since it in a sense was relatable to. Haruki gave a slight bow of his head as a pilot gesture as he looked the female over. For some odd reason he felt as though he had met her somewhere before, but couldn't quite figure out how or the reason why.

Her smile curled to joy as she gave a small giggle and excitement.
"Are you serious? Its the only one I'm missing from Lewis Carroll, its hard to find any books now. I finally finished my poetry collection this year." Her voice was clearly ecstatic, but she seemed to notice her tone and blushed lightly. Pulling back she cleared her throat and sighed.
"Sorry, I don't find many people who have books like I do... everyone I've talked to about it seems to find me odd for owning them." She smiled, trying to defuse the embarrassment she felt. As she sighed, she finally caved in and checked her mail. Her assumption was correct, it was an update email from another King, yellow it looked like.
He was updating about current events, things that where fixed or people who needed to be watched.
She just gave a small smile as she closed the mail and looked back to the man. She felt she knew him, but alas couldn't quite put her finger on it. Perhaps he was the one she's seen around here? Lexus wasn't sure.
"Sorry how rude of me, my name is Lexus. Its nice to meet you." She said, sipping her water bottle. Lexus honestly not sure how to speak to him, she doesn't have friends... nor does she normally find a way for a guy to talk to her for very long.

A small grin tugged at the edges of Haruki's mouth upon her burst of excitement. Such enthusiasm was rather rare especially when old books were involved as he chuckled lightly. He held out his hand to shake hers when she introduced herself, and spoke in a warm tone.
It's a pleasure to meet you Lexus...My name is Haruki... I see you also share an interest with old books as well. It is pretty hard to find people who share my enthusiasm for old literature.
A gentle breeze rustled the trees and blew through his sandy colored hair. As he smiled at her he looked down at his book before looking back up at her before speaking. Haruki had probably read the book several times, each time discovering little things in the fine print.
If you want I could loan you my book since you are missing it. It is a rather good book and all I need to do is remove a few scraps of paper with annotations on them.

Lexus smiled and she clasped her hands together. If anyone from accel world saw her like this... she'd never be viewed as the Purple King again.
"Really? You would really let me borrow it?" she asked, honestly confused. Something like a book is expensive, and to loan it to a total stranger was just... odd.
"Here I should at least add you to my neruo linker so I can return it to you." She spoke softly, fingers moving slightly as she waited for his information. Lexus didn't really want to take it from him without being able to return it. Sighing she noticed a notification pop up from Accel World."Huh... seems I'm missing his match..." she spoke quietly, a little to quietly. Out of all the Legion Kings... Yellow was who she got along with the best. They never spoke outside the game, but they frequently extanged mail, and have both teamed up on some occasions to take out others who threaten both legions.

Haruki smiled as he started to peel the sticky notes that he had been scribbling on from the book and sticking them in a small pile on his lap. It took a couple minutes but Haruki held out the book in one hand out to her with a small smile.
Consider it a gift...From one book enthusiast to another. You can keep it if you want as well. I've already went over the novel quite a few times in my spare time.
Haruki raised a hand to pat his hair down as it was flying like wheats in a field that had a breeze smiling. He tilted his head slightly when she spoke quietly. Though Haruki heard what she said he didn't want to be too invasive of whatever she was talking about.
Is there something wrong?

Lexus just smiled as he handed her the book, she smiled and sent a quick invite.
"Thanks, but there hard enough to find as is, I'll read it and give it back. Besides its rude for me to take something so precious to another." She smiled, the fact he had notes upon notes, and seemed to be extremely well read. Lexus quickly could find it was something he enjoyed... or compared too, like herself.
"I sent that invite in case you wanna talk again, I don't have very many people who like to talk to me in general."
She smiled at his comment, and tucked her hair behind her ear again. She wasn't sure what he heard, but she honestly couldn't help it.
"Sorry, I promised a friend something, and honestly I forgot about it... lately its been hard for me to talk to him. I don't have a ton of friends in general but, he's one of the ones that seem to understand." She spoke solemnly, before she met Yellow Sun, she was completely alone. Being a half breed wasn't easy, but within Accel World... it didn't honestly matter. He didn't care, nor did she even.
She smiled as she looked at him, he was slightly taller, cute too.
"But anyways, I think he'll understand. Thank you, for lending me the book, I'll be sure to give it back to you when I'm finished. It might be nice to compare notes too, since you seem to do what I do as well." She giggled softly as she noticed all the sticky notes, she used lined paper... but still. It was nice to write little notes, cons, pros... why it relates so well.

Haruki smiled as he released his grip on the book to pass it off to Lexus. While she spoke Haruki opened up his virtual interface and quickly accepted the invite, a small bell like chime echoing in his head as the request went through.
There's a difference between giving and taking...When you give something to someone you do it and expect nothing in return...Taking something would be to acquire something despite protest of another. I can't imagine why people wouldn't want to talk to someone like you. You seem like a kind enough person to be around.
Haruki raised an eyebrow somewhat intrigued by the way she presented herself as if she were a social outcast. In a sense everyone was a social outcast in Haruki's eyes and it wasn't necessarily a bad thing. To him being different meant being someone unique in their own right rather than conforming to the faceless society that everyone expected them to be a part of. When she started to talk about her friend Haruki nodded as she spoke, stacking up the sticky notes into a neat consolidated pile before sticking them in his jacket's inside pocket.
It is difficult to find people who are understanding, but they are out there...Many in fact. Sometimes it just takes a little more effort to find them. I'm sure your friend would understand, he sounds like a nice guy. I would very much like to compare notes when you finish the book, perhaps over some coffee in the future?

Lexus just smiled, so he's cute and nice? Where the hell did he come from? She giggled lightly at her own thoughts. Every boy she's met thus far thinks a half breed isn't worth the time, maybe YellowSun was right, it only takes one guy to change there minds.
"Yeah, he and I met by accident really. But he's been good to me, and that honestly sounds wonderful. I'll have to bring my notebook with me next time." She smiled softly, giggling as she rotated the small backpack around and safely, and carefully placed the book inside; wrapped in her jacket.
She honestly was glad she met someone else... it might be something she can talk to Sun about, and what the hell she does on outings like that.
"Seems you have it all figured out, when your born and don't meet the expectations of others and your parents, it tends to be hard to live up to anything." She spoke softly as she placed her bag back onto her shoulders properly. She suddenly froze and sighed, face palming herself.
"Dammit... I did it again..." She sighed and managed to find some humor in it. "Sorry, I'm trying to be more optimistic, its something my friend taught me... its... a work in progress." He laughed a bit, honestly? She was embarrassed as all hell now, why do you have to act like this?
Moron.
Sighing she looked up at him, a small pink blush on her cheeks.
"Sorry, but coffee or even just hanging out sounds like a ton of fun, it would be nice. Plus I can finally brag I made another friend." Lexus just smiled.

Haruki chuckled lightly as he removed the glasses and breathed on the lenses to fog them up before wiping them with his scarf. He set them back on his eyes and pressed it closer to make sure it didn't fall off.
It's always nice for a little spontanaity to occur in life. But I believe everything happens for a reason...Meeting your friend perhaps was no accident. It's good that he treats you well, it should be expected of mature people to treat other people with kindness and respect that they wish to be given...
Haruki folded his arms over his chest as he watched the leaves of trees fall gently after being tugged free by the breeze that blew. Haruki remained silent at er comment about him having it figured out...and his parents. In truth, Haruki still did not know what he would make of his life, whether he would spend it with the continuation of leading The Solari that he had formed or perhaps finding something else. He did not know for sure what the future held, but he expected the best to happen even if the worst may befall him. He looked at her and smiled.
I'm not sure if I'm brag worthy but who knows. If you ever want to meet at any time, please feel free to send me a message. I typically have a lot of spare time on hand.

Lexus giggled, but she nodded. Of course he was brag worthy... he was cute, and nice. But then again, he probably doesn't care to see anyone that way. Or has someone.
"Works for me, I do as well. I take online courses... and only go into classes when tests are given. So I just try and do what I love mostly, that and I game to much." She giggled, sad but true... but gamers where awesome anyways.
She nodded as he spoke again.
"You two sound a lot alike, its almost kind of interesting. But all that means to me is you'd both probably get along." She speaking softly she noticed a chime again, he's accepted her invite; go figure she'd take this long to notice it... oops.

Haruki laughed slightly when she spoke of taking online courses to better suit her offtime schedule. It was a good process to be able to take courses online and then be able to have the rest of your time to yourself.
It is nice given that we aren't expected to have to sit in a dull boring classroom when most of the people don't pay attention.
Haruki looked up at the sun which was peeking out from the edges of a cloud that was obscuring it. Lexus intrigued him in the way she presented herself and the way she behaved.
That would be interesting if we were the same, but people are unique and different. Some may share some qualities but it is often never the case... We probably would get along with each other.
