Magnet walked down the abandoned city streets, head down as he pondered how to get to Proto this time. With Bass out of commission, they needed the co-general more than ever, which meant hanging him on a wall for a few more hours was out of the question. No, their confrontation may just have to wait until Bass had recovered. Magnet grumbled a bit to himself and finally looked up from his reverie. He'd wandered a bit father than he intended. Out of the city proper, it was difficult to pinpoint his location as buildings here ofter blocked his view of the tower. Perhaps if he walked up to one of the roofs.. Gunfire interrupted his thoughts as a spray of bullets ripped through the building behind him. Magnet activated his gun and started running, eyes searching for a target. There.

Pierce stood from the chunk of wall he'd hidden behind and rattled off a few more rounds. Finding his query had been easier than he thought. A simple compass had been all the equipment he'd needed to find the magnetic robot master. He ducked down as the robot master returned fire. The small red magnet missiles hit the crumbling walls the rebel had hidden in and plinked uselessly to the floor. Pierce almost laughed aloud at the ease with which he'd fooled the robot scum. The fool had just given him exactly what he'd wanted. Scooping up several of the magnets, he shoved them into the bag at his side. Now to escape.
The hail of magnets stopped briefly as Magnet moved closer and sought his attacker behind the crumbling stones. Taking advantage of the opening, Pierce made a run for the sewer grate he'd left open for his retreat. He didn't have far to go. Even if Magnet Man did try to follow him, he could easily lose the robot master in the sewers if his recent seemingly lost wanderings about the city were any indication. Pierce was almost home free when a single magnet slammed into the back of his head, sending him tumbling straight into the open sewer. With a string of curses, the rebel staggered off, heading back to base.

Magnet glared after the rebel as he fell through the open hole. He wasn't sure what the blue furred audio's intentions had been, but at least he'd winged him with that last shot. Perhaps he'd been looking for a fight and hadn't expected to find a robot master. Poor little moron must be scared out of his mind and now he was running home to daddy. Magnet chuckled. Strolling over to the hole he leaned over and shouted, trusting the echoing sewer chambers to carry his message to the fleeing rebel.
"That'll teach you to mess with Magnet Man!"
