While he was not a member of the Royal Rainbow Troupe, and probably had more of an alliance to the Mother's Club, Merry Wanderer was an Acha to his very bones. He had, despite the kiokote forms and natures of both his parents, somehow turned out to be a singer and a dancer who loved performance. It was for this reason that he had sent out the word that he was looking for kin willing to meet his performance challenge. He danced in place for a moment before grinning widely and addressing the gathered representatives from the different tribes.

"Gather around, there are stories to be told
Stories in your mind, stories created in your tribe's fold.
These stories should be spread, shared with the Swamp,
These stories that can be told with gravitas and pomp.

These stories form the very threads that hold our world together,
That form the background of our lives through harsh winters and fair weather.
So gather your gardeners, craftskin, singers, and dancers,
For I have a challenge to which I am looking for answers."

He laughed melodically before continuing, getting into the details of his challenge, "I challenge you to tell a story in a show. For that you will need a stage, costumes, a song, and a final, culminating performance."

Challenge Mechanics
This challenge consists of four parts and therefore each team must consist of at least four kin (and at least four people). Each person can take on one part of the challenge, but collaboration by the entire group on each section of this challenge is highly encouraged. Each person must be involved with at least one part of the challenge.

Any images submitted must be limited to 700x700px.

Set Mechanics
While theatre in Matope is traditionally set on a sparse stage, if any stage at all, Merry Wanderer is tasking the groups of kin answering his challenge to create a set by selectively planting different types of plants to set the scene. The display, the types of plants, the location, and the shape of the stage are up to the group, though it should be influenced by the story being told.

You may choose to depict the set in a myriad of ways including, but not limited to, description, photos, collage, and illustration, or a combination of these methods. Sets will be judged on how well they fit the final performance.

Costume Mechanics
Although Never Idle is the main purveyor of finely crafted goods, that is not to say that other kin are not capable of impressive feats of craftsmanship. While the detail and level of difficulty found in the items crafted by Never Idle simply can't be matched by the average kin, Merry Wanderer would still like to see the gathered kin stretch their crafting skill and create costumes to enhance their performance.

You may choose to communicate the costumes being used in many different ways. These costumes will be judged on appropriateness for the story as well as their realism in regards to the materials found in the Swamp as well as the craftsmanship that kin are capable.

Song Mechanics
Every good performance must consist of a good song. Songs have the wonderful feature of taking on many styles and expressing a lot very efficiently. Performances in response to Merry Wanderer's challenge must include at least one song to qualify. What style is used and the amount of story being communicated will vary from performance to performance.

While the songs must have lyrics, there is no minimum requirement for the number of lines that must be included. Your group may also elect to record the song or the melody, or portray the song in another way. The song will be primarily judged by the lyrics with anything extra being given much less weight.

Performance Mechanics
This is the final part of the challenge. This performance is to be performed in front of all competitors and judges. The performance will need to have creativity and skill as well as a good story. This is part where the story must be communicated. The lack of a story will result in a near insurmountable handicap being placed on the entire group during judging.

You can portray the performance in any way you choose so long as the story is told. This portion of the challenge will be judged on the story and method of portrayal as well as how well the other elements of the challenge are integrated into the performance. A lack of integration will result in a low score.
