Johan had done some intense research after the battle in the park. It had taken him forever to investigate, but he had finally found, what he hoped, was the correct dorm. He had come to the conclusion that he should thank those that had helped him; especially the fairy, Rosa. Fairies should stick together right? At least that was the reason he was telling himself that he wanted to see her.

But the flowers he held onto told another story. They were chattering wildly, accusing him of things, like looove, and having feelings for this girl. At first he simply tried to ignore them. But the more they spoke, the more Johan felt that they were accurately describing him.

She makes your heart flutter.

You feel all warm and tingly inside.

You stumble over yourself in her presence.

You're totally head over heels in looove.

Johan attempted to shoot the flowers a glare, and tell them to 'Shut up!', but he ended up looking quite silly. Fellow students stared at him, trying hard not to giggle at the lunatic who spoke to flowers. He could only blush and hide his face behind the bouquet that was teasing and taunting him.

When he finally arrived at Rosetta's door, he gave a sigh of relief. It seemed no more students were around. "Thank goodness.." he muttered. His hands were a little shaky and his palms sweaty. He simply could not understand why he felt like this whenever she was around or she was in his thoughts. He gripped the flowers he had chosen for tightly. Roses. Red Roses. They squealed and giggled in delight at him; obviously having a good time of it. "Well for the life of me, I hope she can't understand you flowers. I'm sure to be embarrassed."

He cleared his throat, and knocked at the door....

"Ah yes, these are for you..." he said with a slight blush, handing her the bouquet. "Um I hope you don't mind me visiting. It's just that..." He leaned in a little closer, "You are....Rosa are you not?" He whispered, using her sprite name. Hopefully he was right in assuming it was her. If not, he would surely be embarrassed that he got his facts wrong. He cleared his throat, and tugged a little at his collar. He was definitely nervous.

If it turned out he was wrong, and he had the entirely wrong person, how was he going to explain to her what he had meant? His mind was racing, and it didn't help that the flowers were still chattering at him. He was beginning to panic.

"Um....if this is a bad time or anything, I can come back later..." he mumbled shyly. He wasn't really sure what else to day. Not until she could tell him if she was really Rosa or not.

Johan quickly followed into her dorm. When Rosetta revealed that she was indeed Rosa, Johan gave a sigh of relief. He had found the right person. Thank goodness. He wasn't surprised when she then asked if he was indeed Sakura. He nodded. "Yes I am," he replied. "It's a pleasure to officially meet you," he added with a bow. "After all, last time things were quite a mess...." He thought back to the night at the park. Hopefully Rosetta had been safe since then with no other attacks. "So..." he trailed off, listening to the still chattering flowers.

He suddenly felt very small and vulnerable in Rosetta's dorm. It was her space, filled with her things, and that wonderful scent that seemed to follow her around. He was nervous. Biting his lip, he forced himself to make conversation though; which was something he had never done before. Usually he pushed conversation aside, and avoided talking. He wasn't aware that girls thought he was the strong silent type, and gushed over him when he wasn't paying attention. But he felt the need, no, the want to converse with Rosetta, he just didn't know how.

"That night at the park.........what do you.. make of it?" he coughed, clearing his throat. "The guardians were released from their prison. Surely the senshi and acolytes are shocked. Even some of the fairies don't remember..." he said sadly. He was one of the few who did remember. After the war he had found traces of energy on Earth. His goal was to acquire that energy and try and get home, to the realm of fairies.

'I simply must find the King....' he thought, a look of concern crossing his face.

"Do you...um...well what do you remember?" He finally asked, curious as to what her response might be.

Johan watched as Rosetta moved over to her garden.

"Your garden is beautiful."

He couldn't help but notice that it was well taken care of and the flowers seemed happy. He smiled inside; Rosetta seemed like a really kind and caring individual. Johan was happy he had finally found another sprite that he could spend time with and possibly work with. Yes, he would have to ask her if she was open to the idea of forming a team. Surely two was better than one.

When Rosetta commented on the night in the park, and nearly being trampled, he remembered their short embrace, and blushed. "Yes, that night was quite troublesome. Luckily I was able to gather some energy though. Hopefully I'll be able to use it to get back to our world when the time comes..." he trailed off. When he thought about it, he had rather come to like Earth and he knew he would miss it.

It was a shame Rosetta didn't remember what had happened in the past. But then again maybe that was for the better. It was a time full of war and battles and bloodshed after all. Though Johan wondered why he'd never seen her around before. Surely he'd remember such a beautiful sprite's presence back when he worked as a guard for the king. Though he was very work-oriented back then and rarely paid attention to anything else.

"I wondered..." he began, "If perhaps...well, if something like that ever happened again. Would you....like to work with me?" He shuffled his feet and put his hands in his pockets, shyly gazing at the floor.

Johan found himself turning bright red at the mention of them working together in and also outside of battle; but what really got him was the 'outside' part. She wanted to work with him on other things?

The flowers laughed gleefully in the background, "She wants to work with yooou. Even outside of battle. Ooooh how romantic. Teeheehee."

Johan was as red as a tomato now. Thank god Rosetta couldn't hear them. If she had, he would have a lot of explaining to do.

Finally he cleared his throat and replied. "I-I would love that. I mean, if you're up for it. We could uh......" His mind blanked for a moment. What could they do outside of battle? "Well we could study together. And I often spend time at the green house at school if you wanted to just........hang out..." he mumbled shyly. Did that count as asking her on a date? He wondered how she would perceive his ideas. Hopefully he didn't come off as some kind of pervert.

"So uh.......in regards to that......we should exchange phone numbers then, correct? I think that would be best."

His hand found his phone in his pocket, and he shakily got it out and attempted to get ready to add her number, hopefully he could do it without dropping the phone. His palms were still sweaty....

When in the heat of battle he wasn't acting like this, so why now? He was embarrassing himself. He blushed when Rosetta took his phone and had to enter her number herself. He tried to clam down when she asked for his number in exchange. "Oh uh yes, it's :insert random string of numbers here: ," he replied. He repeated the numbers in his mind, making sure he gave her the correct number before taking a deep breath and trying desperately to relax.

He couldn't hide behind a mask here like he did at the Masquerade. Handling people was difficult. But he wanted to make an exception; for her. He stared at Rosetta as if mulling this over in his mind. How could he make this easier on himself?

Maybe it would be easier if he was outside. Being out in the fresh air with all the greenery was always relaxing. He eyed the door before asking, "W-would you like to take a walk? Or perhaps-" he stopped short. His stomach growled. His faced turned an even brighter shade of red then he thought was even possible. He felt his cheeks burning. Boy had he done it now. He coughed, "I didn't realize. Perhaps it's almost time for lunch...." he trailed off, unsure of how to ask Rosetta on what probably qualified as a date.

"Maybe....a picnic lunch?"

His heart skipped a beat.

Would she say 'yes'?

How could he explain his nervous behavior, now that he had been asked? He blushed, and tried to think of a response. Finally he decided he couldn't lie. "Well," he began, clearing his throat,"I just...don't socialize much..." he mumbled the rest sheepishly. He felt slightly stupid for being such a baby when it came to conversing with people he didn't know well. In battle, he didn't have to think. It was if something else took over. He was considerably braver then; almost another person entirely; focused on the safety of the public and the King himself.

Johan wondered how Rosetta would react to him telling her that he was socially awkward. But he pushed that to the back of his mind when she suddenly agreed to go to lunch with him. He couldn't hide the smile that formed on his face out of sheer joy. She had said yes! "Uh-um...." She had posed a question. What to bring? He wasn't sure. "Well is there anything particular you like to eat?" he questioned. "We can always stop by the grocery store if I don't have it at my apartment...." He didn't want to make Rosetta pack her own food from home; he felt that would be rude, making her use what she had here. "it's up to you though. Whatever you p-prefer..."
