Ka-set seemed to be the first to arrive they would all be in trouble he sneered privately. His mother disliked tardiness, they both did actually. But that aside morrigan had called the herd to train, and no one ever refused the general. Even if he was a god's reincarnation what good was that if she killed him for being late. He'd only return to the underworld again and he'd never even get to see the look on his sister's face once she realized he was true.
His glowing red eyes beat ominously as he waited for the others. Mother calling training was quite common since there was a severe lacking of warriors the general always made sure everyone knew how to fight the 'meat sacks' included. that would change the more mares they got into the herd. The training for the males would become less, the only exception being Royal children. They got training with the mares they had a bloodline to uphold.
or so they were told. Ka-set wanted nothing more than to catch Nefertari's eye but since his elder brother Parushta left none of the remaining three sons had been chosen as her assassin or favourite. She seemed to refuse to choose one.
It was frustrating, Ka had more symbolism of the pharaoh on his items than the rest of his siblings did put together why did that fall on deaf ears? Because she was dead... and didn't care, she would live forever now unlike those alive she didn't have to worry about dying again since she was already. Leaving Ka-Set back at square one.

There are situations in which to be late. A situtation involving either the Pharaoh or the General, or, Duat, any of the royal women, was not one of them. But given her--his, his, royal women--choice, Aineias would rather be a little bit late than be caught with women's make-up on. Eyeliner to keep out the sun, that was fine, even expected, but the rest? Not so much. His face now wiped of incriminating evidence and a spear clutched between his teeth, the second-eldest prince galloped full-tilt towards the training ground. He arrived nearly two minutes after Ka-set had. Aineias cringed inwardly at the look of contempt on his brother's face, but outwardly he kept a stern mask of calm and deliberate aloofness. Since becoming an adult, he'd been trying to avoid his siblings. It no doubt made them suspicious of them, but it was well worth avoiding the intrigue and the trouble they caused. As a boy, he wasn't exactly at the top of the social ladder, and his brothers seemed quite uninterested in giving him any respect or care.
He didn't expect that--or rather, he shouldn't. He was a prince. He was a vessel of the Pharaoh or the General, whichever one of them picked him. That should be enough for him. He set the spear on the ground and stood stiffly at attention, waiting for orders.

Late by only thirty seconds, the skeletal stallion cantered into the forlorn training ground in his stellar white armor, the gold lining catching the strong light, his spear balancing on his back with practice so he would not have to carry it in his mouth as the others usually did. Cosmas only just noticed his two siblings on the grounds with him, he hadn't spoke to them for a long time, he hardly remembered the last thing they spoke about. Just then he remembered that he might actually miss his childhood, being so reckless, caring about nothing, back then he seemed to be such a child, always getting into trouble, and joking around with his siblings, now all he did was train for the Queen's army, never allowing himself a break to catch up with his friends or anyone really, his new goal in life was just to impress the Queen's.
Cosmas stood up to the line beside Anieas, not sure if he should greet him or act as if his existence was just a minor scratch on his armor, easily rid of. He stretched his neck to take his spear off of his back, he pierced the ground beside him with his spear so it wouldn't force him to keep perfect balance anymore, with that burden gone he allowed himself to relax slightly. Cosmas did notice Ka-set, though he didn't seem to bother him all that much, it was more like he was just kind of there, a cloud on a pure blue sky, it wasn't really bothering you that much; almost like it wasnt even there. Cosmas caught himself then, he was thinking highly of himself again believing he was above everybody, a weakness of his though he didn't stop himself from thinking such thoughts he was just displeased that he caught himself for once. He rolled his ruby red eyes in spite of himself, pathetic he thought.
He then made sure that his spear was securely pried into the earth so it would not fall over. He looked around a little bit more, nothing note worthy. He straightened out his body, still as stone, waiting patiently for training to begin.

From the direction of the palace stepped Ai, the first of the daughters to emerge it would seem. Her trademark laurels glinted in the sun as she made her way over at her own pace, showing she had little concern for being late or early. She was going, that should be more important than when she arrived. Ai didn't feel she needed any group training. She already knew how to use her spear, teeth, and hooves in a fight. What more could the General teach her she didn't already know? Or perhaps this was the 'choosing' she had heard about. Where each parent picked an offspring for special training, like her long gone brother Parushta had been selected by Nefertari to be her personal assassin. Some may be surprised she hadn't picked another to take his place. Parushta had been trained ever since he had been a foal, sculpturing his personality into a hardened warrior. Her next batch of children were all grown up, none of their careers set in stone, yet.
Ai, however, was not surprised. For some reason, Nefertari had doted a little extra time on the petite mummy. It wasn't clear to the younger mare what her purpose was. The training sometimes consisted only of talking about the history. She suspected it had something to do with her body and that was why she had been given the name Ai Nefertiri, Beloved Daughter of the Pharaoh. Nekhbet had a better one, but perhaps Nefertari thought a mixture of both herself and Morrigan would be lucky.
Whatever the case, it gave Ai a closer look at her mother than she had ever wanted. Nefertari was cunning and mistrustful. She had been played a fool once before by a child of hers. She would weigh her options with these new ones before she picked anyone new to do so much as to shine her horns.
But Ai, however, did not come alone. Had everyone failed to notice who followed at her heels, the frown on her face might have given it away, instead.
Behind her daughter the Pharaoh walked with a proud step in her algiedi hooves, giving each of her children present a kind of weighted look, judging them from the very instant she set her glowing eyes on them. Five children was a good number to weed out the potential. But would five be good enough?
When Ai stopped, Nefertari continued walking past the group, her eyes half lidded as they always were, the ruby glow giving her a menacing look. She moved to the side, out of the way but still there. She had no intentions of involving herself with this training session, not today. Today she was here to observe. Over the years, her mate had collected enough trust from Nefertari that she had no problems leaving the floor to Morrigan. Her feelings and treatment of stallions, to Nefertari, seemed a little extreme at times, but as a whole they thought the same. Morrigan would not make a disaster of all Nefertari had worked towards.
And that was about as far as the love went between the two.
She stood there, now, waiting as the children did. Pretending to be interested in something far off in the distance to their left.

From Behind Nefertari came Anck-su-namun second eldest of the girls, she hadn't been doted on by either parent. Morrigan had given her up entirely to Nefertari and left her alone. Except when it came to training. Anck was a skilled assassin having been trained to take down threats that her eldest sister wouldn't. A rather dirty job for a daughter, but she knew the political requirements as well. Anck carried herself thus, regally like the rest of the mares in her family.
With the new brood she seemed rather plain and out of place despite her skill set. Both Nefertari and Morrigan had doted on them giving them beautiful jewelry, armor and weapons. Anck had simple bandages, bandages that were slipping so did Amunet. The mare couldn't help but feel a deep rooted jealousy. However that wouldn't get her noticed by her mothers.
Either of them.
So Anck had come here, to mix amongst her sibling and hopefully gain the favour of one of her mothers.
Morrigan emerged from nearby counting her children as they fell in, Ka-set, Aineias, Cosmas, and Ai Nefertiti with Anck coming up behind.. Nefertari. "Well well, look who decided to join us?" Morrigan raised her brow. Morrigan wouldn't bow, she too was a queen no other queen would bow to another it was a sign of weakness. She'd chosen a general for the sake of her revenge but she still had her pride. Nefertari knew that. In turn Morrigan never undermined Nefertari they had similar goals after all "Go bow to you Pharaoh." she commanded the brats. She gathered nefertari was here to judge them for succession. Ever since Parushta left, she'd been more careful in choosing a Heir.
"You're getting graded."
Morrigan turned to nefertari, "Anything you'd like to see them do?" she asked the Pharaoh. She had to ask after all, she guessed Nefertari had some specific things she was looking for. Might as well get that over with so she can start the regiment she had planned for them.
Well there was almost all his siblings except Nekhbet and Amunet. He detested Nek so much, thought she was going to be the next pharaoh she did so did Amunet for that matter. He was a god so it dictated he should be the next Pharaoh even if he was male! It was his birthright. However he kept that to himself. (Mostly)
Ka-set's crimson eyes widened as he realized his other mother Nefertari was behind his sister. Oh he had not expected her appearance wasn't this just a routine training session? Well if it was it wasn't any longer. He would impress his mother, after all he was the reincarnation of set himself. he was aptly named for it as well. His mother must have seen it when he was born.
As required he went in front of the great Pharaoh and bowed low "Great Pharaoh," he spoke as humbly "We are honored with your presence."((And whoever else I am Missing!))

The crimson and gold princess strode in, head held high, eyes seeing everything and acknowledging no one. Her siblings had made it ahead of her. This was an annoyance but Nekhbet was not concerned. She did not view her siblings as a threat to her succession. Especially Ka-Set. He was so delightfully inferior. Without needing to be told, the princess took her place and bowed low with a graceful swoop of her neck. Before she rose, she spoke quietly. "I apologize, my wondrous queens, for my untimely arrival. As I was on my way some foolish stallion saw fit to run into me. I was forced to make an example of him so that all would know that no disrespect will be tolerated toward your great, noble line," as she finished she closed her eyes in a further sign of respect towards her mothers. With that, the princess remained quiet, her glowing eyes as placid as an undiscovered lake. She was determined to not allow anyone to read her true emotions. Nekhbet was just a little nervous. She refused to let it show and kept complete control over her body.

As ever, Cosmas's silver and copper armor shone like the moon and sun, polished to a bright gleam. When was the last time he'd talked to Cosmas? At some point, one rebuke too many from Ka-Set and Nekhbet had soured Aineias on interactions with any of his siblings and he'd stopped joking and playing with Cosmas. He could remember a few of the daring adventures his brother had gotten into--what a little troublemaker. Thankfully, they'd both survived to adulthood, whatever trouble either of them had been. Cosmas didn't seem to acknowledge his presence, but then again, neither had he addressed Ka-Set, so perhaps Aineias was just being paranoid.
Something else he noticed was the identity of the first foals on the training ground--he and his two closest brothers, the remaining sons of the queens. Their sisters would doubtless be not far behind them, but it made him smile inwardly to see his brothers standing beside him. So, they were all afraid of enraging the queens. Well, wasn't that something.
Ai Nefertiri arrived at last, but her arrival was well-overshadowed by the arrival of the Pharaoh. Beloved of Anubis, Horus in the Flesh... Aineias stood straight until his legs ached from the effort of holding himself up. Both queens being here could mean only one thing--the long-awaited "Choosing." The Pharaoh and the General would each choose a favored offspring to train as their personal servant. Aieneias's plain red eyes flickered between his siblings present (all but his forsaken older brother and Amunet). Which of them would belong to which parent? Hm...Anck-Sa-Namun for Morrigan, without a doubt. She was an assassin, a skill that the general could potentially find useful and could probably not do herself. No doubt about it, the general was a powerful star, quite probably the best fighter who'd ever lived, but assassins were...subtle. Yes. Anck-Sa-Namun would be a fine choice for the general.
As for the Pharaoh? Difficult to say. If he had to guess, he'd guess either Nekhbet or Amunet. Amunet was not yet here--but she was the heir, was she not? That made her a natural choice. As for Nekhbet, she already had the bearing of a pharaoh. Not that it mattered, of course, he added hastily--Queen Morrigan and Pharaoh Nefertari were immortal. They would never die and never relinquish their thrones. There were no heirs--merely children who fulfilled a vestigial role for the sake of monarchical decency.
Not that it made any one of his sisters less dangerous.

Cosmas wasn't all that concerned about who got what position, he would indeed like it if the Queens saw him fit to fill an higher position so he could serve closer to the them. But his expectations could easily be crushed, so he did not think hard on it. He had his head held high, to respect the Queens, to show they had his attention. The need to please them was great inside Cosmas and he found that it was his only real meaning in life anymore. It was like as soon as he stopped having adventures with his brother, and he went into training, fun was no longer an essential need to him neither was emotion all together. Nonetheless he could not let his mind wander, the Queens were present.
He listened to Nekhbet, and her reasoning for being slightly late. Cosmas found it to be a reasonable explanation, though in the end he wasn't allowed to say what he thought of her late arrival, but he still took a second to think on it. Cosmas did not have a reason to speak up, just to respect the Queens, but he did run through his head what he would say to his brothers, and sisters. (If they where in the mood) Perhaps he would ask Aineias if they could spar or talk about what they missed while they where both in training. Cosmas hadn't really spoken to Ka-Set at all, but maybe they could share some tips for the battle field? Cosmas didn't know what he would say to his sister's they always seemed so cold, not that he was complaining that was just their personality.
Cosmas nearly sighed, thinking about how far they had all grew from one another. But he wouldn't let anyone notice that he may actually think of something other than the Queens he stood before. He cleared his mind of everything but the Queens and his loyalty to them, straightening his stance while slightly looking beside him to see his brothers and sisters, looked forward, and awaited instruction.
