After the assault of the Shade and Amethyst’s brutal elimination of it, the Chibi had spent the first few nights spooked by the experience. It wasn't quite fear exactly, just hesitation before she stepped out that front door and maybe she chose to stay home and watch movies rather than patrol a couple of times. The Shade had certainly been dealt with but there was always the worry there might be another one lurking in the dark.
But when no further copies turned up to strangle her, her fears passed and she was back on duty. Tonight was like many others, at the park as dusk set in, enjoying a snack of pilfered cookies and in quite the good mood. She’d just received a message that had things looking a lot brighter and it was just a shame nobody was around for her to talk to.
