Krishna had been more than a little surpried to receive an invitation from anyone in the Negaverse. He had never been the most outgoing or the one who sought companionship; Richard, truly, handled those affairs with more passion and skill than he could. He was content to remain on working terms with many, and on friendly terms with one. It suited him just fine. He and his partner would tackle their duties together. Who else did he truly need?
Yet, he had always enjoyed observing people, particularly interesting people. Perhaps that is why he accepted the invitation tonight. To call Avalon - Vanya, he reminded himself, as she had identified herself in her message - 'interesting' was perhaps a discredit to how much of his attention she garnered. She was a traitor; certainly she had to be, with a name that Knightly. Yet, she had stabbed Bischofite when the monster's true intentions had been revealed. It was a step that few others seemed willing to take. A step with which others disagreed. He did not happen to be one of them.
The pieces formed an intriguing blend. A traitor who had accepted the Dark Gift. One quick to act on the battlefield regardless of what others might think, and one who acted in the manner that best suited the situation, as far as he was concerned. One who reached out, even in civilian life, to meet her goals. What could she have to say to him? What could he provide that she could not take for her own? Such questions led him to accepting her invitation, if only to have them answered.
After doublechecking his phone to make sure he had the right address, he knocked. When Vanya opened the door, the first words were not a greeting, but an apology. That caused him to arch a rainbow brow, but he did not question it as he stepped inside. Surveying the scene, he noted the wilting rose first of all. Clearly, she had been taking time to care for it... but with less than positive results. Suddenly, her invitation began to make much more sense. Someone must have told her his profession, as well as how to contact him. Far be it from him to deny her his expertise.
"Take your time. What fertilizer are you using?" Krishna knelt beside the plant to begin a more thorough investigation. He looked over the brown-tinged petals and withering leaves. He placed two fingers in the soil to check for moisture content. All this he did without any indication that it might be strange behavior for one invited over for a meal.
