Located north of Las Noches, it takes five days of walk to reach this peculiar location. As its name suggests, it is a dense gathering of tall rocks that can reach as high as 10 stories tall. They are so tightly packed together that, at places, it is impossible to see the sky unless one climbed onto them.
Although they may look like stalagmites, they are in fact a natural source of Sekkiseki Stone, a type of material that eats away at one's Reiryoku until Hollows would become no more than deformed beasts. Still, the local population isn't one to take for granted. For generations, they could not rely on Reiatsu, so they've all but cast aside the notion of it and survived on their physical abilities alone and can even give Espadas a hard time since they have the advantage of terrain. Shifting of forms such as Resurreccions and Zanpakuto releases are available, but all Spiritual Energy-based powers will be disabled.
It is said that a whole week is needed to cross this formation of Sekkiseki mainly because of how dangerous it is and its labyrinth-like layout. Oddly enough, the deeper one travels, the less thinner the population of local Hollows can be detected.

Cillian resurfaced fifty feet away from the first of the mighty jagged teeth that the Forest of Stones was made of. He had felt his Hierro lose strength until it became only a sliver of what it had been, making underground travel too dangerous for his body. Without waiting for the Quinta to resurface, Cillian hopped off the Hollow that had been his steed and approached the sekkisekki formation.
He had never been to the Forest of Stones before, at least, never inside of it. At most, the then Adjuchas had travelled near the edge of its influence out of curiosity. It was a place of legends to many Hollows and only primal fear and the existence of other sources of entertainment had kept Cillian away from it all these years. Now, however, he had no more excuses and rationality dictated that he had business to finish here.
"I am…looking forward to this." a bit more than I should, was left unsaid. The sensation that even the smallest push would be enough to harm him was one the Cera was not accustomed to. He felt like a small flame being placed right next to an open window, vulnerable to the smallest of whims Mother Nature had. It had been quite a while since he last had to be cautious. Success and failure could usually be salvaged with a simple change of plans. Cillian prided himself with his ability to adapt to any unexpected turn of events. Now, however, failure would mean game over.
"Speed and ability to hide. I am at a disadvantage then," he admitted. Stealths had never been his forte, he could only set up ambushes by flooding the area with his own Reiatsu, something impossible now that his Reiryoku kept being eaten away by the Sekkisekki, not that he could have hidden his Reiatsu. There were some things that he simply had no control over so Cillian decided to try and enjoy the sensation of having his Reiatsu neutralized when he laid his hand on the cold stone.
"How deep do we have to go before entering the Naturals' territory?" He had found a crevice that could serve as a hold for his bodyweight and had started pulling himself upwards with the intent of climbing his way towards the summit. The distance between each sekkisekki elevation was small enough for him to move from one stone to another with a well-coordinated leap. It would also serve as a way for him to get to know his body and limits. Advancing from a high vantage point would give Cillian a better view on his surroundings and make it harder to be victim of ambush. Unfortunately, a colony of small ape-like Hollows had taken over the outer regions of the Forest of Stones.

((OoC: Super late. I was busy the past week ;w; I don't know how so many people manage to mix college and job and still have time for leisure. ))
Marta Nicole landed next to Cillian. Her boys landed behind her; Adán to her right and Zyne to her left. The introduction of the Ternary’s spiritual pressure was sure to cause the swift arrival of several other Naturals; none of them were people wanted to see.
Marta Nicole answered the Cera’s question, “How far? We are already there. The entire Forest of Stones is the Naturals battle ground. The real question is how long it will take them to respond. We should also wonder how they will respond.”
Zyne told the Cera, “I wouldn’t climb to high Cera. You’ll upset the high dwellers.”
Adan cursed, “Damnit! Too late!”
Cillian had awoke a pack of monkey like Hollows. The screeches filled the air. If the Naturals hadn’t known they had visitors they did now. A trio of the mindless creatures flew towards the Ternary. Adán’s and Zyne’s naked blade moved I perfect harmony. As one they each destroyed the one after them and, then turned to destroy the one after Marta Nicole. Marta Nicole had watched the battle with a disinterested expression and posture.
Zyne looked at Adán with fire in his eyes, “What do you think you’re doing? I can take care of the Lady?”
Adán scoffed, “Not as well as I can. Leave the Mistress to me?”
Marta Nicole cut of the traditional argument before it began with one word, “Joseph.”
Zyne scowled, “I’ll beat you bloody later brother. After Joseph is dead.”
Adán smirked, “Agreed brother!”
Marta Nicole turned to Cillian, “If we want to meet Naturals we do need to deeper. Don’t climb to high.”

Salte Pichi ~Delirium~
Atop one of the jagged rock formations, a lone figure sat staring out over the sea of dunes humming to herself. It was so peaceful to just stare at the open desert lit by moon light. The female did not seem at all worried about the disarming nature of the stones. Her basic skills were enough to survive here as long as her master was nearby.
The female leaned over the ledge as several figures popped up not far from the rocks. She tilted her head to the side, had one been swimming underground? She giggled as some of the group startled a squad of simians and whistled softly as the two boys made short work of them. It wasn't all that hard for her to spot the nests of natural hollows that littered the rocks. She had lived here for so long she could travel the rocks with only a little trouble from the lesser beings.
Salte scratched her fluffy head, her curiosity of the human like hollows drew her attention to them like a magnet. Staying atop the rocks she nimbly lept across the craggy formations, dodging the hollows hidden in their holds. Where would these people be off too? Perhaps they had heard about the Old Man.
A high-pitched scream forced Cillian to avert his eyes upwards. The welcoming party had arrived though he was slightly disappointed by its size. He pushed off with one hand while keeping the hold he had with his left hand and feet so that he was back to the vertical wall of sekkisekki just as a trio of apish beasts rushed past him on their way down only to be effortlessly exterminated by the Quinta's twins. Cillian thought he had heard a name, Joseph, coming out of Zyne's mouth and he carefully stored that piece of information away for future use. Meanwhile, he had a herd of monkeys to take care of.
Golden eyes narrowed dangerously as one of them charged at him, taking care not to drop lower than necessary and meet the same fate as its companions at the hand of the Ternary. The beast was slightly bigger than the rest, having a rather imposing stature and musculature, and displayed impressive agility. Still, there was no coordination in his attacks and a trained and experienced fighter such as Cillian had no trouble reading them.
When the first swipe of sharpened claws reached him, Cillian let go of the Sekkisekki stone to grab onto the creature's arm and pulled it downwards in freefall. He manoeuvred their body so that he would use the creature's body as cushion when they landed in a cloud of smoke. "Hm, I really wished these were strong enough to carry us around the Forest of Stones," he sighed while giving the unconscious Hollow's mask a few taps before concluding, "Too brittle." Between the armor he was wearing, the softness of the sand and the Hollow's body, Cillian had not received any damage from his fall and got back onto his feet, dusting his face and clothes so that he did not look like someone had poured flour all over him.
"Do these Hollows have a leader?" he asked the woman that was his guide. "If it is the Naturals, than I would like to kill 2 birds with one stone." The herd of Hollows had ceased their screeching all of the sudden, looking down at them with uncertainty. It would appear that they were most comfortable in the air and had no confidence when it came to a ground battle. Still, the would be most useful in the walls of Las Noches as a secondary means of surveillance. Their original goal was the Naturals, especially a handful that had caught the Quinta's attention, but Cillian was not one to squander opportunities that unexpected and unknown variables were.
Finally, the herd of Hollows appeared to have made up their mind and took off, longing the border of the Forest of Stones as though to look for more intruders. One of them stumbled upon a familiar female figure and immediately let out a screech to alert its companions. It wasn't that the woman had wronged them in the past, but like a flock of red-billed quelea taking flight at the passage of a wildebeest in the African savannah, the primate scattered in all directions, sending rocks and sand tumbling down the Sekkisekki jutting from the ground, to avoid the natural Arrancar.

I asked GDan for his characters to be introduced in this RP as naturals that would align of Las Noches.
GDan
We're looking for Naturals who have been opposing the new Las Noches. Our characters are here to give a sort of ultimatum: join or die. Zigzag already had some NPC in mind and I'm just improvising xD
Marta Nicole scoffed, “The Forest of Stones isn’t Las Noches. The only leaders here only control their small packs. There will be more attacks unless we can prove we deserve to be left alone.” Marta Nicole smirked, “Like her.”
Zyne didn’t use Sonído but, he had his sword across the girl’s neck in the blink of an eye, “What do we do with this creature that thinks it can spy on the Ternary Lady? Shall I end her?”
Adán smirked. Then he frowned. His Pesquisa was slightly better than the rest of the Ternary. As a result he could still use extremely basic Pesquisa in the Forest of Stones. What he felt confused him.
Adán said, “Wait Zyne. She feels like the Old Man.”
Zyne backed off like he was burned. He was shocked and confused, “What? Impossible! The Old Man is dead. We looked for him! We mourned him! He was the only one not to think us freaks of nature! She can’t feel like him!”
Marta Nicole slowly approached the girl, “Do you know Arbutus Menziesii? Is he alive?”
Cillian had been temporarily ignored. The news that Arbutus might be alive was enough to make the Ternary pause. His offer of friendship had not come with strings attached like other such offers had. The Old Man was the only person that the Ternary had cared about except each other. They had thought her had died in battle. They had looked for him and, couldn’t find him. They had mourned losing him.
Marta Nicole glanced at the Cera out of the corner of her eye before turning her attention back to the girl. If Arbutus was alive the Ternary would be in a delicate position. Maybe Marta Nicole could convince him to become a part of Las Noches. Adán had bonded with the Old Man over a love of plants. Maybe the conservatory would be enough of a bribe.
Marta Nicole spoke once more, “If you are friendly with the Old Man I won’t hurt you.” Marta Nicole sincerely smiled, “I swear it on unity.”
It was a pleasant memory. When every the Ternary made a promise to Arbutus they swore on unity. He tended to swear on all things green and, growing.

Salte blinked as the blade flashed across her throat. This boy was a quick one, she blinked and frowned as he leapt away again confused. She joined the small crowd on the sand "Well yeah, I know him. He is my master after all." Salte stood on one leg and crossed her arms behind her head. "Master is the one that helped me become like this." She said indicating her self. "I've been her for the last 200 years or so, most of the naturals don't bother me anymore."
Her eyes glinted and she spun into a low stance and pointed at them, "But don't think i'm weak! You'd be hard pressed to catch me here, outside you would only eat my dust!" Her bright eyes and matching grin stayed on her face for a moment before she giggled and danced away into the maze of stones, leaping of the walls like a pinball. "Following the leader, the leader, the leader! Following the leader wherever she may go!" She sang in a happy singsong tone. "It's off to the Old Man's house we go!"

More leaders meant more individuals to convince. In a way, the game would last longer, not that Cillian minded too much. He simply observed with increasing interest as the albino twin took off, reappearing, sword drawn, next to a lanky female that was definitively human-looking. It would appear that the more interesting welcome party had showed up and much faster than the dark-skinned Arrancar had expected. It was slightly disappointing that this Natural was caught so quickly, but he supposed that he did have to give the Ternary some credit for their combat abilities.
What followed caught Cillian off-guard, a feat in itself considering his calculating nature, but only a slight quick of his eyebrows would betray his surprise. It was clear that this trip would reunite Marta Nicole and the Skylight twins with old acquaintances, but this Arbutus Menziesii sounded like someone the Ternary had been quite close to, at least enough to not invoke animosity.
Quietly, while the two woman and twins had their attention on each other, Cillian used his Hueso armguards knock off a few fragments of sekkisekki that had been jutting out and store them in his dusty robes. It wasn’t long before the bubbly Natural took off, beckoning them to do so as well so as to meet this master of hers. "I suppose that I do not have much of a choice," said Cillian, amusement barely concealing an ominous warning in his tone, while twining his fingers together and stretching his arms in front of his body, palms facing outwardly and sealed zanpakuto glinting dangerously on his left index finger. With one last hop as a warmup, he took off after their spy turned guide in what would surely be one hell of an obstacle course. Speed wasn't his forté, but Cillian did consider himself agile enough to amend for it . Still, this was enemy territory even if it will allow him to test the Ternary's loyalty once more.
Not wanting to test his luck once more until he got a better understanding of his Reiatsu-less body, Cillian chose land travel, dashing between the stalagmites while keeping an eye out on their agile guide. Fortunately, the rows of stone peaks were dense enough to shield the deeper sections from the slippery white sand of Hueco Mundo. The ground was solid with occasional boulders that required minimal effort to leap over laying here and there on top of what appeared to be remnants of crushed Hollow body parts, what Cillian assumed to be the main source of nourishment for the small critters running around the forest floor in the corner of his eye. The fact that they were still untouched, for the most part at least, meant that they were still fresh. Whatever had caused these rockslides was strong enough to severely damage sekkisekki stone without the use of Reiatsu. That may mean trouble unless Cillian went all out.

((OoC: I hope you guys don't mind the description. You guys sound as though you have something planned so I'll keep my intervention to a minimum when it comes to the Forest of Stones' NPC Arrancars. I may be playing with the environment/Hollows though because this place was meant to have a sort of man vs jungle feel.))
Marta Nicole had always been the fastest of the Ternary so despite the fact that the use of Sonído was limited she was off like a shot. The girl already had a head start because she had just taken off. However the girl seemed willing to lead them to Arbutus. Marta Nicole would take what she could get.
Adán couldn’t wait to see the Old Man. Arbutus was the one that had introduced him to plants and, the care of plants. He had built his conservatory using specifications that he knew the Old Man would approve of. Every time he managed to collect a new seedling or cutting he thought of the Arbutus. Out of all the Ternary he was the most eager to see the man who was practically the oldest Arrancar.
Zyne was not a fool and despite their outward squabbling cared for Adán the same way Adán cared for him. He knew what the possibility of seeing the Old Man had done to his daytime twin. He also knew that Marta Nicole had to eager as well. As a result he took it upon himself to guard his small family. He kept one eye on their surroundings and, the other on the Cera. Hopefully things with Arbutus would go well. Zyne had to admit that he was entertaining the notion of the Old Man and, this girl return to Las Noches with them.
The Ternary rushed after the bubbling girl that had to be a good balance for the Old Man. They landed where she landed; it wasn’t wise to land elsewhere. Who knew what traps would activate if they landed elsewhere. It became a line: the guide, Marta Nicole, Adán and, then Zyne.
Adán called out, “Is it much further?”
Zyne’s rebuke was gentle and completely ignored, “Patience brother!”

Salte Pichi ~Delirium~
"not far now, it's easy to find the Boss' place if you know the way." Salte led them for a while until they reached a crossroads. All the paths looked identical to any they had seen before, and oddly there was no sign or presence of the naturals. The ground itself seemed strange, softer and of a different consistency than the coarse sands of the rest of the maze.
Once everyone was present and accounted Salte ran around the junction in a circle. Stopping where she started she turned the the gathered people, "The last path to Master Arbutus' Garden is that way!" She pointed back the way they had come.
Clearly there were a few screws loose in Salte's mind, but upon further inspection the patch she pointed to was a split off the trail they had followed, hidden from view unless you were in the junction itself.
Before Salte could continue, a large Natural hollow landed behind her with a deafening roar. The creature resembled a canine mixed with an ape. Salte's eyes widened as she whipped around. When she saw the hollow her eyes turned to emerald chips of ice. "You just don't learn!" She snarled. With a whip like swing of her arm she pulled an item from the back of her belt. Her zanpakto flashed in the moonlight, a mace with a smooth sphere on the end of a coiled shaft. she pointed the ball end of the mace at the hollow in a low stance and pulled the trigger on the hand guard. The mace ball shot off like a wrecking ball on a spring, nailing the hollow in the chest and driving it back into the rocky walls.

next time we can meet arbutus, need to add some danger. Monster is just stunned by Salte' s strike
Despite the Natural's optimism, it was easier said than done. Knowing the path and learning it was the tricky part. All the sekkisekki peaks looked, making it neigh impossible to navigate by sight alone. There was no landmark except for the general direction of Hueco Mundo's sand to use for reference. The path the brunette had pointed out was exceedingly easy to miss. Cillian stopped there, looking around to make sure he remembered even the tiniest detail of this location. He had been trying to map the area in his head, using Hueco Mundo's moon as reference, but when travelling on the ground in the Forest of Stone, one could only occasionally catch a glimpse of the dark skies. It was incomplete to say the least, making it only useful as a back-up plan so Cillian wanted to make sure he could remember the specifics of their current location. Because of that, he did not detect the presence of a large quadruped Hollow that attacked Salte. He did, however, get to see the woman easily repel the attacker with an odd flail-like object. A zanpakuto!
The beast was not over, however, and quickly rolled onto its feet with a snarl and whipped out a long tail that ended in a sting. Curious as to whether or not the canine had enough intelligence to better assess the situation, Cillian did nothing more than raise his armed hand, backhand facing the creature so as to display the sharps edges of his own zanpakuto, a metallic claw enhanced with a curved blade jutting out at his second knuckle. That along with the Hollow bone armor he was wearing and his usual detached demeanor in the face of danger gave off a clear challenge to the attacker: "Do your worst." Was he being overconfident? Definitively, considering the difference in size between the Hollow and he, but the Cera was one that also enjoyed mind games and psychological warfare. Though most likely winning in savagery and brute strength, the Arrancars still had experience and training on their side. Besides, the Ternary was also present so they clearly outnumbered the beast. "A friend of yours?" he asked Salte, curious as to her history with this particular Hollow.
The Ternary watched as a Hollow tried and failed to attack their guide. Then the creature turned his attention to Cillian. Obviously the Hollow was not the brightest bulb in the box. Cillian easily blocked the blow and, Marta Nicole was not surprised to see him try to engage the creature in psychological warfare.
Marta Nicole called out, “That won’t work Cillian.” She was careful not to use his title, “This one is ridiculously close to becoming a Menos Grande. The conglomeration of souls has already begun to given into their bestial tendencies. Intelligence is swiftly becoming sacrificed for power. You like to play mind games but, that only works on enemies with minds to play with.”
Marta Nicole liked to watch people of Hollows or Arrancar or whatever else there was in this whitewashed world. It was one on the things that made her such a good leader of the Exequias. Right now she was watching the snarling beast in between Adán and Zyne. Adán was on her left while Zyne was on her right. Both were slightly behind her.
Marta Nicole sighed, “It’s too bad his evolution ends here. Boys, I’m starving. Don’t forget to share with the others.”
Adán smirked, “Yes Mistress.”
Zyne’s grin mirrored his bothers, “Of course Lady.”
Injury wasn’t what halted a Hollow’s or an Arrancar’s evolution. Having another Hollow or Arrancar take or eat part of your spiritual pressure did. Since both creatures survived off of spiritual pressure Hueco Mundo truly was an eat or be eaten world.
The twins rushed forward. They didn’t even pause to argue. Marta Nicole had given them orders and, they would follow them. The almost Menos Grande rushed towards battle as well. As they ran the twins ducked bellow the outstretched claws to slice at the now exposed belly. The Hollow screeched in pain. The twins back flipped on to the creature while they slid their swords back into sheaths. As one their teeth sank into the vastly inferior creature’s neck.
The spiritual pressure leached into them. The Ternary’s bond was just strong enough to pass the energy to Marta Nicole. She used her hands to cut the boys off and, they leapt of the creature to resume their positions behind Marta Nicole. Zyne licked his lips while Adán rubbed the back of his hand against his mouth. The creature wasn’t dead yet and, still had plenty of spiritual pressure. However he would be a mindless beast forever
Marta Nicole turned to girl, “We can continue when you are ready to go.”

"He's just one of the bigger cattle here. Always picking fights, gets stomped and come scrawling back." Salte stated, waving her Zanpakto around. The shaft bent and swayed one moment as if made of cabling, the next it was stiff as steel. The sound of the weapon was so strange, a sort of 'thwip-whoosh' and the movments made quite the distracting noise.
After the trio had chomped on the monkey-dog Salte's mouth twitched into a rather disturbing grin. Leaping forward almost as fast as a sonido she blasted the head clean off the beasts shoulders. The head slammed into the cliff face and hung embedded in the rock. Standing on the beasts shoulder as it slowly fell she inhaled deeply as the life essence shot out its neck. It swirled into the vortex created by the lanky arrancars mouth where she swallowed it with a gulp, burping cutely.
Hopping off the dead creature, now fit only to feed the lesser populance of the rocks, she waved the others to follow her into the off shoot trail. "This way, This way!" she said cheerfully, almost blissfully unaware she had torn a monsters head off in one stroke of a blunt weapon.
------
a short distance from the junction, the rocks began to open up. Spaced wider at the ground level, angling in created a naturally hidden cavern. One word was carved into the stone above the grotto, "Arbutus"
The grotto itself was a marvel, a stunning creation of nature. An open ring with a collection of plant life littering the rocks. Even a small waterfall fed a small pool that fed the plants. Small hollows no bigger than birds and lizards from the human world skittered here and there, disturbed by the new comers. "Grandpa Flower! I'm back!" Salte called across the glen. "And I brought company!"
From behind a cleft in the rock a tall figure stepped out. Almsot twice as tall as the rest of the assembled arrancar. Dressed in white with red sleeves, the man approaching them looked like his title deemed. A weathered and wrinkled face framed by long white hair. His chin hidden by a well kept beard and mustache. The visor of bone across his brow marked his heritage. "Salte dear, did you finally take care of old Belathor?" He asked, his voice deep and resonant, slow but full of might. Arbutus froze when his eyes locked on the new comers. Arrancar to be sure, and four at a time. His gaze went from the sandy haired man in armor, whom he could sense held great power outside the effects of the rocks, to the three that moved in formation behind Salte.
His eyes widened recognition blasted his memory. "By the root and branch.... Can it be?" He whispered, kneeling down to one knee to draw closer.

The Empty Strife
The Cera Espada
▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄
Cillian had watched the Ternary make short work of the Hollow with mild interest. He had to concede that he had not eaten in quite a while and his Hollow instincts were urging him to join in the feast, butthe Quinta trio and their guide were having so much fun openly indulging their homicidal side that it would be a shame to ruin it. Instead, Cillian cross tucked his arms into his long sleeves and approached the Hollow's decapitated head.
Ever the opportunist, the dark-skinned Arrancar quickly savaged what pieces of Hollow mask bones, Huesos, he could, noting the translucent fluid covering the mask's fangs. Poison, he thought guessed, eyeing the large sting at the end of its tail. It was, unfortunately, a bit too heavy for him to drag around their expedition so Cillian settled with the bits and pieces of Hueso he had managed to recover from the damaged Hollow head. He noted the clean edges of the detached head as he moved to follow their guide. It was a single, precise strike that was well-timed and well-executed. This Natural was quite skilled with her unconventional weapon, he was all too eager to meet this master of hers.
His wish was granted not too long after the almost Menos incident. The change in scenery was strange, but not completely unwelcome. The name 'Arbutus' was quite fitting for the ruler of such a domain: flora of all kinds existed in this odd, impossible even, ecosystem that was surely the work of the tall elderly Natural.
Arbutus was an impressive being, one that emanated strength and wisdom without even trying, but there was something oddly...non-threatening about the Natural's demeanor. Still, Cillian did not let it trick him and remained on his guard, meeting the ancient creature's gaze when weathered eyes landed on him before quickly bouncing off towards the Quinta. It would appear that bringing the Ternary on this trip had been a good move.
"Since you are already so familiar with this Arbutus, why don't you do the honors of introductions?" Following that suggestion, Cillian pivoted on his right foot to take a half step back and give the Ternary enough room for a more intimate exchange with the tall Natural. He took that as an opportunity to have a better look at the numerous plants and critters living in this grotto. He was particularly interested in finding specimens of Hueco Mundo's infamous quartz 'trees'.
To say that the Cera had an obsession for them would be an understatement as he believed that he had literally come from one of them. This had made him quite possessive of the odd phenomenon, but not matter how much he studied the crystal-like material, he had not found any evidence that it was actually a living organism let alone a plant.
Marta Nicole eyes flashed around the grotto. It was like stepping into a memory. Not long after the Ternary had become Arrancar the three of them were pushed from the Natural Arrancar’s territory. The Naturals couldn’t comprehend why anyone would want to be around others; much less make companions. The Ternary had wander until they had found a grotto much like this one. All three of them had to admit the beauty and, had felt at home amide that plants that didn’t belong in Hueco Mundo. Adán had fallen in love.
It wasn’t long before Arbutus stumbled across the intruders in his domain. The Ternary had been struck by his height and age. Zyne and Marta Nicole had been convinced that the other Natural was about to kill them. He didn’t get the chance before Adán began to beg Arbutus to teach him about the plants. The Old Man had laughed and agreed.
He later told Marta Nicole that he never planned to kill them; just to run them off. He could tell that the Ternary were unnatural in their desire to be together. His plants were unnatural too and, he had drawn a connection between the two. Besides he could tell that the Ternary was young and, that they didn’t want to hurt his garden. They didn’t need to die. For a time the Ternary lived with Arbutus and were happy. Then the intruder came with the intention to destroy both sources of unnaturalness; the garden and the Ternary. The garden burned and, Arbutus had saved the Ternary.
Adán began heading towards the Old Man but. Marta Nicole beat him to it. Without pausing to think and, to the shock of both her boys, the back of her right hand made contact with his right cheek.
Marta Nicole’s voice was heavy, “Adán mourned you! You were his mentor and, he mourned you! Zyne noticed your absence and, he mourned you! I mourned you! We mourned you!” Marta Nicole’s voice broke, “We thought you dead. We mourned you and, Adán’s heart broke.” Marta Nicole asked, “How could you do that do us? How could you do that to Adán?”
Adán spoke up, “It is nice to see you Old Man. I missed you.”
Zyne nodded, “I missed you too. Not as much as Adán but, I still missed you.”
It was clear that Adán had already forgiven Arbutus. It didn’t take much for him to do so. The grotto was all that he need. Just the knowledge that the Old Man was alive was enough for him. It would take a bit more for Zyne. His brother had been hurt and, that was not easy for Zyne to forgive. Marta Nicole couldn’t decide if she wanted to forgive. Adán had stared off into space for three days when the Ternary had come to the conclusion that Arbutus was dead. However she could tell that her blonde had forgiven him already. It was not an easy decision for her to make.
