Morrison's office, while lacking in decorations, makes up for it with a massive amount of paperwork scattered about on the floor. Reports marked as complete are in the same piles as those half-finished or completely untouched, and not far from there are discarded food wrappers and cups of tea Leon simply never got around to finishing. The lantern in the corner is always lit to make up for the absence of windows in his office, and is typically on top of a stack of books about exotic animals that he's memorized backwards and forwards, and is now used as an improvised desk while he searches for one he likes. His door is never locked, as he loves having guests over.

Returning to the mess that was Leon's office made for a bittersweet reunion, as there was nothing relaxing about sentry duty. The captain stepped gingerly around his papers to avoid leaving footprints on them, his eyes on a half finished bottle of sake and an open book on tigers. He had left them there a couple nights ago when he had the free time to peruse them at his leisure, but as of late he didn't exactly have the time to drink or read freely. Luckily for him, being stationed in Karakura Town gave him the means and the opportunity to do so. If his luck continued, the night would go relatively quietly, and he could continue his study of tigers in peace. Scooping up his book and his drink, he tucked the items under his arms and hurried out, taking the Senkaimon to the human world. Time for a little easy work.
A young Shinigami was frantically running around the division grounds. "Hollows! Rukongai!" he managed to wheeze out as he tried to locate his captain. For some reasons, the Hell Butterfly network was malfunctioning and it was only out of sheer luck that the Shinigami had stumbled upon a group of panicked Shinigami that had been monitoring Rukongai. They had given him the task of warning his captain about the invasion while they attempted to contact the second division's Inner Court Troops and the 8th division that was in charge of communications.

Captain Leon Morrison Captain of Division 13: Hollow Extermination
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The sounds of shouting stirred young Leon Morrison from his slumber in the barracks, leading him to lazily saunter in the direction of his office to investigate. Unfortunately, the words he heard next woke him up instantly, and sent chills down his spine. Invasions hardly ever happened within the walls of the soul society itself, and the sheer amount of civilian casualties that could occur made this priority number one. He smoothed his hair down to look semi presentable, then adjusted his scarf and captain's uniform before stopping the frantic young shinigami, giving him a comforting smile.
"Go and warn the other captains. I'm not sure about the size of the invasion, but I'll put a good dent in it if I can. I'd like backup as soon as possible. Thanks for warning me, you did good." With that and a nod of confidence, Leon shunpo'd away to begin repelling the invaders.
