She should have stayed near the brew-o-matic until someone came to give her that portal home she was promised. Instead she'd been plucked by the hand of fate to run some delivery errand like a common courier. All she'd wanted was to get a hold of someone she knew and ask them if they knew what in Jack's name was going on. She walked through the portal that was supposed to deliver her to someone who would relieve her of this burden. She juggled the scrolls about in her arms trying to stack them into a more manageable order.
Hopefully her friends were safe in their beds, she hated to think of Rosc, Lumi, or Julian out in this wretched desert. Then again if Calder, TG, Zar, and other fellow students were here then it was a distinct possibility that they had all been dragged into this bizarre internship. Perhaps it was some-sort of test, she was supposed to schedule her third year exam but she simply felt an utter lack of confidence in her abilities. She was downright afraid after all the horrible things she'd experienced, all the suffering she'd been powerless to stop. FEAR hadn't protected her from the twinges of memory, the guilt, or the terror of potential weaponization. School seemed to be preparing her to deal with tins far beyond the scope of everyday life, but it was making everyday life a challenge, she was paranoid and suspicious while attempting to remain calm and collected.
She took a deep breath and looked around, no point dwelling on such things right now she just wanted to make this delivery and get back inside the Agency. She remembered the soft voice warning about hunters and shuddered with a mixture of fear and revulsion.

Naturally, nothing could ever be simple and so Sin found herself knee deep in a sand dune with no one around. She was pretty sure the delivery did not call for her to just dump the scrolls in the sand and call it a day...but that was awfully tempting. She yanked her legs up and took a moment t dislodge herself.
She managed a few paces before she realized that there was no way she could walk in her heeled boots in the sand. With a groan for her dress, her boots, and her skin she sank down t remedy the situation.

Sin pulled her boots off and turned them to dump what seemed a ridiculous amount of sand out. She stood and gathered up the scrolls sticking them in her boots and proceeding with her search. Hmph, despicable the heir to the Err name prancing around in the coarse sand in her stockings on an errand.
She reached back to brush the sand from her dress and lamented the fine material, well that was what she got for dozing off before she could change into her nightclothes. Then again she probably would have hated being caught in the desert in her negligee.

The thought of being caught out in her nightgown was enough to make Sin grateful she was at least well dressed if not quite dressed for this type of exercise. She was equally grateful that she still made time every morning and most evenings to stretch and jog or plowing through the sand would likely be infinitely harder.
She perked up as she spotted an impatient looking figure in the distance who quickly hailed her over. It was hard to hide her annoyance as she crossed over to them and they didn't move so much as a step in her direction.
"The portal dumped me in the middle of a sa-"
She found her explanation being rudely cut short as the scrolls were yanked from her boots ad hastily signed.
"It's about time intern! Now get back and hand these in pronto!"
Sin could feel her cheeks flushing with a heat that had less to do with the desert and more to do with her rising temper.
"Oh sure, YOUR WELCOME!"
Her voice was a sarcastic snarl, but it seemed to go unheeded. She glowered and turned heading back to the agency and hoping to never see so much sand again in her life.
