Now, Eddie had carved out a good pattern for herself. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, intermittently, she'd sit at this very corner (far enough from her little gang's home base that no one'd think to follow a little boy back there; close enough to the market to attract people walking away but not so close that someone'd pick her out as an obstruction of street traffic) and have her birdies and her mice do tricks up and down her arms. And she looked the part of a skinny little lad, and she could perform such charming and fantastic acrobatics (cartwheels and high jumps and so on), and her clean, well-kept guardian made her seem that much more respectable, and so whatever audience she garnered was almost always enough to purchase meals properly for a few of the gang, throughout the week, so that the amount they'd have to steal was minimized. Today, though: today she was expanding business.

Not on the same corner, though; people would be tired of seeing her so often in a week (and people did tend to keep to the same paths). So she was scouting out a new location, majestic Hero in tow. Similar proximity to the market, but in the opposite direction - that should be appropriate, shouldn't it? Her little fairy wrens perched on either of her shoulders, chirping cheerfully and dutifully, and her mice (the newest additions to her act) had buried themselves in Hero's warm, lovely fur. Hero herself wore her usual crown of leaves, and was escorting Eddie without a lead, stately and paced. Hero was really good at that sort of thing, even if she didn't like to do tricks. Pity, that - Hero was the only one of Eddie's constant companions that could really understand her.

Eddie marched around the busiest part of the market's perimeter, and came to a stop near a large oak tree. This looked shady, and cool - it'd be the perfect stopping point for her audience, and an excellent place to rest between bouts of performance. And she could just step into the sun so that they could see her better when necessary - it might require a little practice, some rearrangement of her routine...but well. This was quite a satisfying find.

Up the street, a man and his own guardian fawn walked, but Eddie would pay him no mind for now, save noticing the little fellow. She didn't see guardians that weren't hers or the crew's all too often!
