Eerie phenomenons have been reported in this lonesome place and that is 'eerie' by Karakura, a beacon for spiritual creatures, standards. Humans have claimed that invisible powers have been at work, oftentimes sending powerful gust of stale air in their direction. An increase in serious accidents have always been noted in the area ranging from falling pots of flowers or tumbling construction beams to mysterious fires.

Prelude
Any spiritually aware being knew better than to approach the dark alley located behind Karakura's decrepit apartment complex. Beasts of all sorts have been spotted there and their numbers have been on the rise despite the local Shinigami's best efforts. Every time one was killed, two more would appear to take its place. Tonight, however, would mark a pivoting point for the dwellers of the night.
In unison, twenty or so tears in the fabric of space were formed above the dimly lit alley. The lone streetlight that had been struggling to light the area fizzled out, enveloping the area in shadows as masked beasts of all size and shapes stepped out of the Kūmons. Hollows, and an army of them it would appear. The sharp noses of a few Menos Grande could be seen from behind the spacial distortion. It would appear that they were a bit too big to fit through the gates and were waiting on something. For some unknown reasons, the smaller Hollows that did manage to cross over did not spread out, but lingered around the area, scuttering about and digging through the hard asphalt with sharp claws.

Gengyo arrived right into the middle of the Hollow horde and opened up the best way he knew how. As he came down for his landing, he held Tsukurite Yasuragi over his head and brought it down in a powerful slash, coming right down on top of the nearest couple Hollows. As he spun around to face the bulk of the crowd, he shouted defiantly to them all, "Come at me bro!" complete with the arms-out, wide open stance.

Gabriel busted onto the scene shortly after Gengyo, standing with his back against his ally's.
"Is this it?"
He held his hands out to his side, and invoked Blades of Glory, one of his Shikai techniques. Goutan shone with a bright light, and flashed: When the light cleared, Gabriel was holding two swords. He spat and grinned; His blood was boiling. He dove at the nearest group of shadows, blades extended, stabbing all around him, but only managing to kill the one Hollow.
"Seems to be, but those Menos might be a problem if they get out," Gengyo responded to Gabriel before the man jumped off. As Gebriel ran for other, Gengyo decided to just stay put and put down the ones nearest him. As a few bum-rushed him, Gengyo parried and slashed, but only managed to drop one before the others retreated to regroup. All the while, Gengyo was thinking, Whatever Yuki-chan's doing, I hope she's not too long...this might get hairy.

Though scouting was Shizuko's original intention, it was not long before she found herself set upon by two hollows. Having to wait for her next Shunpo, but still wanting to make good time, she had taken to jumping along the rooftops, still taking in the layout of the surrounding area.
Unfortunately, having heard her footsteps, two hulking Hollows had attempted to ambush her as she landed in an alleyway between two buildings. Unfortunately for them, their bright white skin reflected the moonlight, and it was impossible to miss them. Pulling her Zanpakuto out of it's sheathe as far as the chain would allow, Shizuko blocked the first one's attack, before Shunpo'ing behind both of them and incinerating both with an incantation-less Shakkahō.
'Yes, these are definitely weak Hollows, to be sure. The others should be having no issues, provided there are no unexpected surprises.'
Quickly finishing the rest of her scan of the immediate battle areas, Shizuko honed in on the Reiatsu the two Captains were emitting, following the trail to the source.
She arrived just in time to witness both Captains finish off several Hollows, and waited for them to notice her presence before speaking. "I have completed my initial evaluation of the battlegrounds. Many cramped alleyways and abandoned buildings can be used by the opponents to form ambushes, but the bright glare from their hide coloration negates this possible advantage. I foresee no issues with the rest of this battle."

Gabriel gave a casual wave to Shizuko, one of the rapiers shining bright as it flashed back and forth in the air.
"Sounds excellent! You hear that, Gengyo-taicho? No problems!"
He laughed, tossing his head back, holding his swords up in the air triumphantly. He welcomed an attack from any direction, and his invitation was well received. Four shadows jumped at him from behind, but he turned on his heels, sensing their approach. He sighed: He'd have preferred more. But, these would have to do.
He stabbed two of them through in mid-air, and quickly loosed his blades in time to duck out beneath the others. He could feel the air rush above him as they passed overhead. He flipped around wildly and stabbed them with disregard for anything else in the world. He wanted blood.

Captain Jack Mallory considered the scene below in the alley. Captain Gengyo and Captain Wit were already battling. They were joined by Sixth Seat Yukimori. Jack was smiling a wide open smile. It looked like they could use some aerial support.
Jack unsheathed her Zanpakutō, “Stain it Red, Chimamire no Yuki!”
There was a burst of spiritual pressure and Jack held the unsealed bow. The bow was white wood and, the lower arm sported a blue-white ribbon with red spots. It was about 40 centimeters long. Jack’s smile got bigger.
A cool voice spoke from the back of Jack’s mind, “This is going to be too easy.”
Jack held her bow out and pulled the string back, “Ya no Chi!”
Five bolts, made of blood red spiritual pressure sailed towards their targets. Jack continued to smile as all five arrows hit their marks. The wind played with the Captain Mallory’s red pigtails. Jack’s blue eyes contained a hint of playfulness.
Jack called down from the roof she was standing on, “My dear Captains. Surely three of us are overkill. Perhaps one of you would like to come back to my rooms with me.”
Jack Mallory, Archer of Death, was an outrageous flirt.

Shizuko felt another wave of Reiatsu roll over, as another powerful presence made itself known. Though it was familiar, she wasn't quite sure who it was until she turned to see Captain Mallory eliminate yet another five Hollows.
Though she knew that the flirtations were mostly directed at the other two Captains present, Shizuko quickly looked away to impede any chance of the almost imperceptible blush that rose on her otherwise stony features.
Seeing four Hollows break off from a larger group that seemed to be headed to the two earth-bound Captains, Shizuko moved to engage them, humming to herself lightly. Now that she had something other than the Captains to focus on, she was returning to her more usual, less formal mood.
Once again with incantations, as they would ruin the melody she was producing, Shizuko conjured her own signature Kido, Zoufuku, then threw another Shakkahō through it, aimed at the Hollows.
As the Kido passed through the screen of light, the fireball nearly doubled in size, as well as doubling in intensity. Instead of stopping an exploding on contact with the Hollows, as usual, it simply passed through them, burning them to dust, before continuing to splash against the ground, producing a charred patch of concrete.

Arriving from the Soul Society, the captain of Division 13 was expecting to find that things were relatively normal in Karakura Town, and that the rise in activity would be easy to fix. But the sounds of death cries and clashing of swords tipped him off to the idea that perhaps this required more than just a passing glance. Taking to the rooftops, Leon followed the sounds until he found their source-a multitude of Hollows, and the Soul Reapers that were engaged in combat with them.
"You're telling me that I'm actually getting help with my job? Now this is a great day!" Leon exclaimed gleefully, unsheathing his short katana from his back and holding the sheathe in his off hand. "Now comes the fun part. Incoming!"
Leaping off of the rooftop, Leon plunged his blade into the head of an unwary hollow below him, gravity serving as his assistant in the destruction of his solitary target. As the hollow dissipated and the captain got to his feet, he found that the the other reapers were quite outnumbered. But the odds like those only meant that he'd have to try just a little bit harder.
"How long have you guys been here without me?" Leon asked, his fellow captains as he prepared himself for a second assault.
Mūn arrived on battlefield within seconds after Leon on the side lines of the battle, Instead of jumping straight into the battle like the other shinigami did he decided to hide (Masking his Reiatsu) and observe the battle first for a few minutes watching all the various techniques used, but strangely enough it was not the hollow he had his eye's on but the shinigami's different styles of fighting styes ignoring Shizuko as he had already considered her to be weaker and not worth his time to observe not knowing how strong she truly was."So these are some of the current captain of the Soul society?" Mūn questioned while he continued to watch each of the captains for a few more minutes before he decided to jump into the fray of the battle quickly drawing his Zanpaktou from it's sheath in the process.
Upon his entering the battle a group of hollows quickly took notice of Mūn whom had released some of his Reiatsu decided to lunch a surprise attack on him, however this was what Mūn had expected as he quickly turned to face them revealing a malicious grin which struck fear into the savage beast whom within mere seconds had been defeated with next to no effort, it was then Mūn decided to call out to his fellow shinigami "Hello there captains! My name is Mūn Shugari one of the sentries of karakura town, I've been sent to assist you by my superiors please let me know what you need me to do!"

So many of his fellow Captains showing up in rapid succcession and right away a good chunk of hollows had gone down. Things were moving quite well indeed. He did, however, notice that Gabriel and he were now tied and hhe'd be god damned if he had to buy that old sailor lunch. While he briefly toyed with the idea of Bankai just to show off a bit, he was hesitant to risk another Captain getting caught in the crossfire. THAT would be trouble. He'd only do it if the situation became so bleak that he had no other choice. Regardless, though, this felt good.
"BANZAI!!" he screamed, flaring his reiatsu like a sort of war cry. "Hey Jack-chan, if I put down more than Gabriel, will you join me for lunch when we get back?" he shouted at Mallory-taicho. It was also a light jab at Gabriel, considering their standing bet. He almost missed the handful that tried to gank him as he chatted away, but luckily he dispatched the entire group. Booya.
((Wow. I go to work, then go to bed, and I wake up to find thathalf the Gotei 13's here. Now it's officially overkill.))

Gabriel turned and bowed dramatically to each of his fellow Shinigami in-turn.
"Mallory-taicho, I would love to! But, alas, duty calls at the moment!"
He was only slightly familiar with the so-called "Archer of Death", and he was admittedly curious.
And to Leon, he said, "Not long, pal. Still plenty to cut down, if you're so inclined."
And to the newcomer he'd not yet seen before, "Just keep killing and you'll be golden!"
'Damn, that's a lot of people,' he though. But, he refocused on the Hollows. Gengyo was beating him now. He rushed head on into a group of Hollows with reckless abandon, hoping to kill as many as possible, but sighed in discuss as only one of his blows was a fatal one.

Shizuko continued to hum short songs to herself as she once again turned to examine the newcomers. Another Captain, and apparently a Human World sentry. Turning about again to once more to again face the oncoming Hollows, Shizuko noticed Captain De Wit dive into a group of Hollows, unfortunately only managing to kill one of them with his single blow. The rest seemed poised to turn back on the Captain now in their midst, and attack his undefended back.
Reaching into her arsenal of Kido, Shizuko shouted the incantation of Seki, creating a shield surrounding the Captain. As the Hollows moved to strike it, it repulsed them, leaving them paralyzed on the floor.
Deciding it was the most appropriate response, Shizuko released her Shikai. "Disappear, Shizuka." She whispered the release command lightly, as befitted the nature of her Zanpakuto. The chain holding her sword in it's scabbard dissipated, allowing her to fully draw it.
Doing so, Shizuko quickly dispatched the five paralyzed Hollows on the ground. Making sure she was in Captain De Wit's field of vision, to negate the effects of her Shikai, she spoke. "I hope you find yourself in good health, De Wit-sama?"
