She was so glad to be back where she really belonged, and that was on the front lines kicking a**. Her goggles were snuggly in place and her bow was summoned, its pinkish lines glowing softly.
Chel was told she'd need a partner, so she just called to the first person in the area she knew. "Chris. Come kill stuff with me." Since Wonderland, their relationship had been strange. It at least wasn't seething hatred anymore, but it definitely wasn't friendship. Maybe getting there though?

Chris adjusted the strap on his goggles as the rest of the hunters around him buzzed with anxiety and excitement alike about their orders. He glanced up as Chel called his name and nodded.
They may not be friends, but they could at least work well as a team. He summoned his weapon and grinned. "Let's kick some a**."

"Let's kick some a**," Chel mimed mockingly. "Could you be any lamer?" Then again, she was the one who had requested him.
She began walking out towards the desert nothingness, a bit unsure of which direction they were supposed to head. "I don't wanna wander too far- death by sand is not the way I want to go. It is an awesome band name though."

"Could you be any more of an a*****e?" Chris bickered back, his grin turning into a frown. Rude.
He scanned the area ahead of him as he walked, but there wasn't a whole lot to see. "It's probably better than some of the other ways we could die as hunters, though. Lydia told me she saw a dragon. Death by dragon sounds pretty shitty."

"Death by Dragon is another great band name. Can you just put anything after Death by and it's a cool band name?" Chel was a very experienced hunter that was definitely focused on this serious mission.
She kicked a bush, rattling it with her foot to see if anything would come out, but nothing did. "You see anythin-"
A roar split the surrounding sand (which was odd in hindsight considering insects didn't particularly make roaring sounds) and a giant sand worm emerged from the desert ground. It wiggled its strange purple, insanity-infested tongue and Chel shouted, "LOOK IT HAS A WEAK SPOT I DIDN'T THINK THAT HAPPENED IN REAL LIFE."

"Death by Gonorrhea..." Chris paused, considering. Then with a shrug, he nodded. "Yeah I guess it does."
He took a defensive step back as the ground shuddered and a monster rose from the sand. When it wiggled it's gross a** tongue at them he grimaced. "Why does it have to be a gross weak spot? Why can't it just have a big eye like normal bosses?"
He lunged forward and swiped his blade at it, but didn't want to get too close.

"You want to stab an eye instead of a weird bulby tongue thing?" Then again, Chel had the luxury of shooting the tongue from far away with a bow and arrow, like you were supposed to in this dungeon.
She Pointed to the weird vertical lines on the outside of the worm's .... face? and said, "Try striking those, see what happens."

The monster, having now noticed them (it was hard to do with no eyes, don't judge him) began kicking up sand in their general direction.

Chris was happy to try something other than the purple thing. He dodged left and slashed out at the side of the monster's...fa-aaace? thing. For some reason, that seemed to do more damage. "Aw lame. The tongue just looked like a weak spot."

Chris stabbed at the side of the monsters face and made a face at Chel as it squirmed away. He definitely didn't feel bad.
Clearly he was not just getting lucky.
