Uncertain of exactly how she'd gotten away, Fox found herself struggling to drag herself out of the rubble of the aftermath. The hell had Flashover come from? Better yet... where the hell did he go?. She had the answers to neither of these questions.

It'd come on fast. Unexpected. The cloaked audio hadn't been prepared for the attack, and she'd been separated from her near constant counterpart for a change of pace.

Not that Flashover had gotten away unscathed either. She'd simply worn the brunt of the attack.

The fox-like audio managed to drag herself halfway out of the rubble she was buried in by this point, images of the fight flickering through her mind. Her muscles ached, leaving her with the familiar burning sensation she'd become accustomed to since the fall of the original tower.

Digging her fingers into the dirt, she struggled to continue, but her head fell flat to the ground. Her body was giving out under her, and she needed to rest. The hood of her cloak fell around her as her fingers let go. Breathing slow, she simply lay there for now, trying to pull some sense of energy and ability about her.

Raider hadn't been in the City very long. New to this place and it's...unique situation, he wandered the streets aimlessly. If nothing else, the rubble of the City's outer limits provided prime scavenging locations. Which was just fantastic. The young Audio scurried around the rubble, picking up bits and pieces here and there. Hrm, nothing too interesting today but...maybe if he just kept searching...

Ah! Over there! That ...looked like the hood of a cloak. Cloaks were cool. Raider was pretty sure he'd look amazing in a cloak. And here was one, free for the taking!

...Just had to scavenge it off whatever poor soul owned it beforehand. Oh well, their loss! And they seemed quite dead. Clearly they didn't need it any more, hrm?

"I'll be taking this..."
Tail swishing behind him, Raider knelt by the unfortunate Audio and moved to relieve them of their former attire.

How much time had gone by since she'd just dropped in this spot was uncertain. In fact, she was certain she'd passed out at some point. Her attention was brought slightly around, however, as a voice suddenly spoke up near her ear.

It wasn't that which got to her though, whatever... whoever it was made the unfortunate mistake of trying to remove her cloak. A shot of adrenaline moved through her and with an uneasy speed, her hand was now up and grabbing onto the small audio's ... neckerchief?

Her eyes narrowed and glared at him from under the lip of the cloak hood. She seemed to be sizing him up, ultimately deciding he wasn't worth the waste of energy.

On the other hand, she was no longer trapped in the rubble. She let the neckerchief go, pushing him away at the same time, slowly pulling herself to her feet.

"Get out of here kid." she snorted angrily. "And maybe try not to steal things off of people. You may not be so lucky next time."

Raider let out an indignant noise, moving to scramble back from the suddenly alive Audio again (ZOMBIE AUDIO?!?!). Unfortunately, she had a hold of his neckerchief...so he didn't get very far.

"Hey cmon! You didn't look like you were using it anymore, I just wanted it to be USEFUL."
The kid was flailing his arms a bit, and as soon as she let go he scrambled away from her.

...But he didn't leave, instead he lingered and watched her, head tilted to the side.

"You look pretty hurt."
Thank you, captain obvious.

"I assure you, I'm fine." the audio's voice held a note of dismissal. This wasn't up for discussion. In fact, she wasn't planning on discussing anything further with him. In all honesty she wanted to go back to her hideaway and change the wraps on her arms and check over what new damage was done.

The fact that the indignant little brat was lingering, however, agitated the woman. She didn't have time to listen to some kid. Nor did she want to.

"Get out of here, kid." a bandaged arm struck out from beneath the cloak, shooing him with her hand before turning to head off.

....Raider wasn't one to be easily dismissed. Though he backed up further at the hand shooing at him. He still didn't leave.

In fact, he only stayed put a moment after the other made her leave. Shortly after that he was following. At a distance, of course. He didn't want to be hit or anything. But someone with that cool of a cloak (and who looked -that- roughed up..) must have had some awesome stuff to scavenge through, right?

..And if she dropped again he'd be ready to snag the cloak and run.

Unfortunately for him, Fox was used to being... stalked, so to speak. Keeping tabs on Glitch often resulted in just being aware of his presence before she could see his face.

Fortunately, for Raider, Fox simply didn't care that he was following her, for the moment. Nosy citizens, most were. She didn't much care for that, but she couldn't blame them either. Their world had shattered, things were changing, and robots were starting to kind of... take over things as their world was slowly rebuilt.

Sigh.

As she closed in on her home, however, and her sense of being followed remained, she finally paused in step and turned back in the general direction she figured the brat to be.

"I would highly suggest leaving. I don't much care for the company of others." there was a snarl in her voice as her teeth bared with annoyance.

"And what am I, nothing?"
Glitched stepped out of the shadows, tail waving behind him. What the hell Fox. You sure liked his company! ...Or, maybe tolerated his company was a better phrase...hrm. Still, the point remained that she hung around -him- enough, so who was she yelling at...

Oh hey! It was a little Audio...he was kind of cute. Glitch wanted to keep him.
"Awww, you made a new friend, huh Fox?"

Raider was still following, yes, but at the new Audio's words he scampered past Fox to get a closer look.
"WHOA. You're......what the heck are you?"
Own tail now swishing, Raider made his way around Glitch...who really just seemed amused by everything.

Oh come on. She'd been so distracted by tracking the audio tracking her, that she'd been caught completely off guard by Glitch suddenly stepping out into the area.

Seriously Glitch, way to kill the mood she was going for here.

"No!" she huffed bitterly, the frown deepening on her face.

"And that's not fair, you know that you're not just an 'other'." she snorted in the pseudocorn's direction.

And... now there was no hope in hell that the little coyote looking audio was going to leave. Instead she sighed as he passed by her, watching him look around Glitch. Did the pseudocorn really need to look so amused by this?

Probably.

Pulling the hood of her cloak back, she pushed hair out of her face, still looking more irritated than anything else. However, she was also tired, and since Glitch was here, no longer in the mood to growl at this kid. She just wanted to get herself fixed up and no longer feel like s**t.

She was pretty sure she still looked like it, either way.

"I'm going inside." she muttered in Glitch's direction, turning and heading back towards their hideaway.

"Fox! Wait! Can I keep him? Please! I promise I'll feed him and give him a nice bed to rest in and everything. Cmoooon Fox!"
Glitch looked...rather happy. The little coyote Audio was still sniffing around him though. ...And Fox was getting away. Crud.

So, Glitch simply picked up Raider and trotted after Fox. The little scavenger was, unfortunately, along for the ride.

"Wait, huh? What's going on?!"

Oh. Oh hell no. Fox turned to look back over her shoulder, getting a full view of exactly what she was hoping not to be seeing. An exhausted and defeated groan escaped her throat and she brought her hands to her face, rubbing lightly.

"He's not a pet, Glitch. He's a citizen. We don't keep citizens. So put him down and let him go." Why, oh why did she feel, already, like this was a losing situation for her?

"And you've never even kept a pet to begin with, so I doubt you can take care of a whole p-" no, no. She stopped herself there.

On more than one occasion Glitch had actually spent days caring for her post battles. Her nose twitched, tail flicking about behind her. Alright. He probably could take care of a person, but that wasn't the point here.

"He's still a person, Glitch. You really can't just keep him." and yes, she was completely ignoring the fact that she was talking about Raider, with Raider right there.
PostPosted: Sat Jun 07, 2014 12:19 pm

"er...actually I'm not from here, I just sort of wandered into town.."

"See! He isn't a Citizen! That means I can keep him, right?"

"I don't have anywhere to stay..."

"SEE SEE! HE NEEDS US!"
Glitch's tail was wagging even faster.

...Hell, at this point, Raider's had started to wag a bit too.

There was a long, hard silence as Fox stared at the pair. Her face scrunched up with the obvious agitation she was feeling, but really. She couldn't say no. Last thing she needed was Flashover getting his grubby hands into this kid.

"Ugh fine. For now. But he's your responsibility and he's staying in your room." the hideaway wasn't that large, and she wasn't sharing her part of it.

With that, she turned tail again and continued on, before she got dragged into something else. The audio wanted to throw her hands up in the air with frustration, but it wouldn't help either. Instead she moodily threw the hood of her cloak back up over her head, and dropped down into the hideaway entrance.

"HORRAY! Thank you Fox. Cmon-----what was your name again?"
"Raider..."
"Kay! Cmon Raider!"

Not that he had much of a choice. Glitch dragged the little Audio after Fox, dropping down into the hideout...

And then moving off to give him the grand tour. Loudly.

"Yeah, yeah." Fox wandered off to her room, shutting the door behind her. Not that it stopped the sound of the tour. No. For some reason Glitch's voice carried really well up and down the halls.

It was amazing he could sneak around the way he did, in all honesty. The audio shook her head and pulled off her cloak. Tossing it to the side, over the back of a chair that sat in the middle of the room.

Listening to Glitch go on, she sat on her bed, yanking her med kit out from beside it, and began to unwrap her arms. She frowned, they looked worse than before. Fantastic.

With an agitated grunt, she pulled out new wraps, zoning out the sound of the pair moving around the hideaway (how was he even going on so long about the place anyway?). Idly she worked away at getting them cleanly dressed before dropping back onto the mattress, staring up at the ceiling.
