AMITYVILLE

If any students are not careful, for being a student equaled a naturally sort of curiousity about everything, they would end up at the Haunted House. Not a haunted house but the Haunted House, and there wasn't much of a reason other than that the House literally revealed itself when convenient, as if sentient, and perhaps it was.

The Haunted House called to those marked with the clans sigil, a strong insistence, and then to those without, a thin whisper, asking for help. A great calamity would fall soon, it urged, and you must remember each and every piece.

The fog around the Haunted House grew thicker until it shattered and in its place was a desert.

There was something strange about the landscape. It felt old, and dangerous, it felt like bloodshed and ancient conflicts that had yet been buried entirely. In front of them was a giant cavern, blasted ichor black, the chasm reaching infinitely downwards, long tendrils, trees, towers branching up from within. Walking too close to it yielded a sense of vertigo and loss.

Next to the chasm was an interesting setup, a small out of place very Halloween Town Hall-looking building, with a little stone plaque carved on the side of it with the shape of a raven in flight. It read "AGENCY 666, KNOCK TO ENTER". The doors were open, however.

Inside were reapers, a whole slew of them bustling around. Not just reapers but also grims, ghosts and an assortment of demons, all in formal business attire, sharp suits and cloaks, canes and all manner of reaper scythes. Paperwork flew in all directions, and to the left and right of the students entering the singular hallway going down were columns and to the side of the columns rows and rows and rows of desks with busy-looking citizens answering phone calls, writing things onto papers, and yelling angrily at their slow interwebs connections.

At the very end of the hallway was a singular long desk, much like a judge's desk, that curled a little bit forward. A bored looking reaper sat at the pinnacle, pouring over a scroll of paper longer than the desk by at least ten times. "Yes," he said in an extremely bored fashion, Can I help you." He went back to his work.

About ten seconds later he looked up again, gaunt hollow eyes scanning you. He rolled his eyes. "Someone deal with these interns, I don't have the time. There's reports, and bodies, bodies everywhere and I'll be damned if I let the horsemen or those miscreants at Hell's Seven Angles get to them first. And someone get branch nine their freaking coffee."

A nervous-looking demon who would not stop shaking apprehends you, wearing a whole suit that barely fit his rather spherical figure and a top hat. "This way," he chattered, "this way intern. Not a single word, not- not a single word. We're b-busy. This way." He kept on repeating the word as he wove through desks and desks of angry office agents. "All right, here we are, here we are, this whole- whole problem and who do they send to do this, us s-seriously not we'll never finish all this reaping at this rate. You know what to do right. C-collect reports. Clean up stuff. Send reapers their coffee. We'll pay you and send for por-portal when you're done. Good-good day. Good day."

He gives you a list of tasks, and then there is a loud poof as he teleports away in a burst of black smoke.

OOC

STUDENT QUEST ARE NOW OPEN
Any students lucky enough to stumble upon this scene have now been pulled into this agency for internship work. They seem to have an agenda they have to fulfill and it also seems everyone is pretty much ignoring them or are too busy so it's up to them to figure things out! You are free to use this thread to write your reaction rps and rp with each other but as this thread can get large please QUOTE who you are rping with and describe your character a bit (or link to their image) in the OOC of your thread.
- RP POINTS: It is worth your time to do these small quest rps! Each one you join is is +2 rp points (to a max of 10!)

gaia_crown OOC: [ WHEN 5 QUEST THREADS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED (ie: you filled the objective) you will unlock the [ Agency 666 Backstory ] to gain more insight as to what is going on. This will not help your character icly but it will help you oocly be able to piece together a story! Who knows! Maybe it will be of use later on! When an objective is fulfilled change your quest PRP title to [COMPLETED]. Even if an objected is fulfilled you can still continue rping on! You can also make orps and invite as many users as you want to it, but each thread only counts as one "quest". Quests can be completed multiple times by different groups. You can do as many as you want on a character.

gaia_crown Quests can be done for 48 hours. They are not long, just snippets of whatever you want to PRP. They have no minimum word count. You can continue RPing quests even after the 48 hours. 48 hours is when the FIRST of the big ORPs will happen. You can also do a solo rp if you cannot PRP

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. [ Quest 1: Coffee Brewing: ]

The first item on your list is to brew some coffee. Thankfully there are a few brew-o-matic 5000 somewhat neglected machines to one side of the facility. After scraping off the cobwebs and slime, it is almost as good as new! The second you get the machine running, there seems to be a mad scramble and then a lineup somewhat forming of people wanting coffee

- Create a PRP thread and title it [QUEST PRP ] Coffee Brewing (PLAYER NAMES HERE).
- Next, write your introduction posts to your team having gathered their wits and gotten ready to do the process. When you are ready, have your team start! If you are a multi team you can have one person doing the sales on cash, and one person brewing, or two people brewing and making coffee etc. If it is solo mode you are all on your own. Roll 2d6 to see what order comes in (combine the first 1d6 word with the 2nd one), and it is up to your student to creatively figure out how to make it with the machine (feel free to rp as needed, basic supplies are in the fridge such as curdled blood milk, etc etc).

First 1d6:
1. Blood
2. Slime
3. Invisible
4. Ichor
5. Skeletal
6. Cobweb

Second 1d6:
1. Latte
2. Cappuccino
3. Iced Coffee
4. Tea
5. Milk
6. Soda

- Remember that the quests below are just MECHANICS. It is up to you to breathe life to them, to interact with other players and make things meaningful! Once you have done THREE orders you are done! Mark quest as finished!

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.[ Quest 2: Delivery! ]
- Your next assignment is to deliver articles to Reapers waiting outside. You are to take one of the many portals directly there, but it is easy to get lost while out in the desert.
- Create a PRP thread and title it [QUEST PRP ] Delivery (PLAYER NAMES HERE).
- Next, write your introduction posts to your team having gathered their wits and gotten ready to do the process. When you are ready, have your team start searching by rolling 1d10. If you roll anything other than 1 or 10 your team wanders around lost until they have rolled a 1 or 10. They then find the person they are looking for and deliver the item (usually a long form for them to fill out). Do this 1 times per thread. The quest is then considered COMPLETED. Mark quest as finished!

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.[ Quest 3: Unfriendlies ]

- This is an ORP that is technically not a quest but open to ALL factions. In it you can PRP with characters from any other faction of your choice. If a Student encounters a Horsemen OR Hunter it is up to them to decide what to do with them, either negotiate, hide, or battle (using general battle mechanics, max 6 people in a thread) If you do this, it does not count as a quest completed, but it is fun RP fodder.

The ghoul let out a frustrated sigh, immediately recognising where she was. Even after all this time, the Haunted House would continue to...well, haunt her. Fine. She would just find her way back, like she always did.

Just as she turned around to leave, the softest of whispers stopped her in her tracks. The ghoul was prepared to ignore the voices as usual, but something about A great calamity beckoned her to think twice. At that point, the frost demon was already armed with blades of ice, looking around her for signs of danger. She wasn't too pleased with the idea of facing this alone, but there were no other options for her at this point. Anyway, if she wasn't the only one who could hear the voices... she knew she could expect some people to show up sooner or later.

Treading carefully towards the silhouette of the Haunted House that was shrouded amidst the fog, the ghoul readied her weapons, ready to strike at the first sign of hostility.

But there was none. Only a desert.

Confused, Edel let her guard down for a moment to take in the sight that greeted her. This was... not right. She was rarely wrong about having a bad feeling.

There was no way back in sight, except for a strange building near the chasm. It was certainly of Halloween's, and the ghoul figured that she could start there to find her way back. It was a relief to find that the building was indeed occupied with Halloween folk, though it was clear that they were currently busy with some kind of problem. The frost demon knew she was out of place, and planned to make herself scarce as soon as she could.

"Excuse me," she began, greeting the reaper whom she presumed was some kind of administrator, "would you know how to get back to Amityville, sir?" She didn't mind having to be redirected, knowing she was interrupting him...

She would be redirected alright, and somehow be charged with tasks meant for the interns. The ghoul never did get time to correct the demon who escorted her away, though she figured from the conversations and the people around that if Halloween was indeed facing some kind of mortal peril, she could certainly spend a minute or two getting coffee for the reapers. She had a bit of time on her hands anyway....

As expected, Maple was not liking this at all. She had never actually found herself randomly at the Haunted House before - let alone one at all (though, she had found herself transported elsewhere but half the time without knowing herself until the very end of it). So, this was all very new to her. And seeing it dissolve into the desert was equally as unpleasant.

She frowned deeply.

And groaned when the next series of events took place all around her, pulling her into the chaos with her knowing much less what she was supposed to be doing - when had she been given an internship? And why? Clearly these people didn't know her and her lack of credibility. This was going to be terrible!

The haunted house was hardly a foreign place to Shun by this point in time. When he realized where he was, he closed his good eye and placed a hand up to his head. Trouble, one way or another, was going to be rearing its ugly head pretty soon. This usually meant a hunter encounter of some sort. But there was something else going on here. He could have sworn he heard whispers seeking aid. Did the mark at the back of his neck burn a bit too? No not really. The fog around did grow thicker and he soon found himself somewhere completely different.

This. He did not quite expect.

Heat was the first thing he felt as he found himself in a desert now. It was strange, and the layout of this land put him ill at ease. But he soon spotted a small building in which he found himself wandering into. Inside were dozens of grim reapers and a few other denizens of halloween. It looked incredibly busy right about now.

Before he could really figure out what was going on, he was being ushered to do work. He furrowed his brow. Bodies everywhere? There was mention of the horsemen as well. So this was a Reaping agency. That explained a few things. And somehow, he had a feeling that there were an abnormal amount of human deaths right about now. He wasn't really sure what to think of that exactly.

After his first encounter with a Hunter at the haunted house, Erebus had thought it was an interesting place to visit and to expand his knowledge. Of course, this was because the Cerberus had no idea about hostile encounters and had hardly heard of them. But when he neared the place in particular on this very day, he found that it had been taken over by a huge chasm, with towers protruding up from the dark shadowy hole.

What was going on?

There was a building besides it, one he had never seen near the Haunted House before, named Agency 666. The boil peeked into the open doors, only to discover that there was a horde of creeple dressed formally like how his parents would when they were heading to work. Maybe they had some answers?

He tried asking some of them, but they simply whizzed by him, looking too frazzled and busy to even deal with him-- and he was promptly horded away, and called an intern. Upon Erebus' face was that of puzzlement, confusion, as he simply went with the flow, and then was told to help collect reports and get coffee.

Oh.

Okay?

Llyr did not understand his surroundings at all, nor did he feel particularly safe, but at the very least he was not alone. There were others milling about, a few moving here and there, and he wandered aimlessly for several moments before he spotted a familiar face.

"Puppy!" he said brightly, and gravitated towards the boil, draping his arms around him from behind. "Puppy, I am very concerned, where is it that we are, exactly?"

Xavier, on the other hand, looked the usual.

AKA terrified. He was trembling from head to foot, but there was a peculiar expression on his face; an almost tense one, as though he were determined to tough it out and be strong. The end result, however, was a rather strange mixture of fear, confusion, and determination, which made him look constipated, rather than fierce.

"E-e-excuse me," he said to the nearest ghoul, reaching out to touch her shoulder very lightly. "E-e-excuse me, do - do you know wh-where we're supposed to go?"

He wished desperately for Helmut, for someone he knew, and quailed beside the ghoul.

From behind Shun there came a voice.

"Hey - hey mister - hey mister."

A petite blonde in a long-sleeved, nebulous teeshirt and a pair of jean shorts stood behind him, her expression somewhere between fascinated and horrified. She was tapping Shun's shoulder, the sleeves of her too-large shirt draped over her fingers so that the entirety of her hand was hidden within it.

"Hey, mister," she said again, in hardly concealed stage whisper. "What's going on, hey hey? You look smart."

He probably wouldn't have noticed the nickname if it hadn't been for Llyr draping his arms over his shoulders, and jerked slightly in surprise. "Oh! Llyr! Hey!"

"Um. It's called Agency 666, and I presume they're investigating why the Haunted House is... um... different?" Erebus wasn't quite sure how to describe it, though Llyr had probably already seen the chasm before he had entered. "It seems like they're all busy with it and they pretty much just thought I was an intern and asked me to help get their reports and make coffee..." Erebus wasn't really averse to helping them either, just wondering if it was really okay to intrude simply because they had mistaken him for someone he wasn't. Or at least, he certainly hadn't signed up here for an internship.

Shun frowned lightly after he was given a list of things to do. Brew coffee? Really? That wasn't exactly something he really wanted to do at all. However, there was a bit of a problem. Something was definitely going down around here, given the chaos in this business and the whispered warnings he heard before. That and he really had no clue how the hell to get out of this place in general.

He let out a sigh, getting ready to go find a coffee maker, when he felt an incessant prodding at his shoulder, accompanied by a voice who seemed to be desperate for his attention.

The reaper twitched once before slowly turning towards the source. There stood a girl he hadn't exactly seen before. He saw a couple of familiar students admist all of this so this one may very well be from Amity as well. Either that or someone brought their kid to work. Given her question, the former was more likely.

"A lot of humans are dying, or have died," he said flatly, staring down at the petite girl, "How or why, I don't know."

That was the gist of what he knew here. He in part wondered if the great calamity had to do with that. Too many human deaths meant less fear for Halloween.

"Different?" Llyr repeated, frowning a little. He pushed his long hair back away from his face and let his gaze move around the place, taking in the scenes. He was dressed, oddly enough, not in his usual toga-like garb, but in a what appeared to be a nightgown almost, sleeveless and white and draping to his knees. The chains around his torso clinked gently as he moved. "How is it different? How strange, how strange..."

He let go of Erebus and drifted around in front of him instead, tapping a long finger on his chin.

"Are you an intern?" Llyr asked, tilting his head to the side. "Are we supposed to get them reports and coffee?"

Alette's smile dropped from her face. She looked scandalized.

"People have DIED?" she said, sounding horrified at the very idea. "That's horrible."

A small pause.

"Wait, do you mean like - we're dead right now? Like, we've died and come back? Have we turned into the undead? I mean, I'm a ghost already, so I'm already dead, but I mean, are we undead now? Like dead dead? Are we zombies?"

Clearly someone had been watching a little too much skelevision lately.

Shun stared at the girl, wondering if she was a bit daft. He brought a hand up to his head, closing his good eye.

"I said humans. You know, the people we gain FEAR from? Those humans. I'm a reaper and I sure as hell am not dead, nor am or was I ever human," he said a little sharply.

"Well, it's usually looks like... a huge dilapidated house from the outside. And we can, or could I guess, run into Hunters there. So I guess it was also sort of a portal between two worlds? It just never used to be a ginormous hole with towers jutting out from it. I wonder what happened." It wasn't as though they had felt the earth tremble beneath their feet and then collapse. At least he hadn't noticed any sign of an earthquake from where Amityville stood.

"No." Erebus clarified with a laugh. "They just mistook me for one. Probably needed all the help they can get, really..." And it wouldn't hurt to gain some job experience, if they could even call it that. "...Have you made coffee before?" He hardly drank coffee; the boil preferred tea instead.

She had been walking around aimlessly for some time, the ground covered in thick fog. OOPS! She tripped on something that was underneath her feet. Her white haired curls fell over her face. Alice blew upwards at her bangs, annoyed about this. After she gathered herself off from the ground, she felt something weird. It seemed familiar, but not familiar at the same time. How can that be? How can one have such a strange feeling in a place like this?

A building stood in front of her. It resembled the pictures she had seen of Halloween Town Hall. "Wow, it is much larger than I thought, even after seeing images in the books." There in front of the building, was a little stone plaque carved on the side of it with it. The shape of a flying raven was also carved into it with the words "AGENCY 666, KNOCK TO ENTER."

"Why are the doors open then if it asks to knock?" she whispered to herself as she began to walk in. Suddenly, the room was full of people wearing nice looking business suits. Canes, scythes, sat by them. Papers flew everywhere, followed by rows upon rows of desks filled with citizens working, seeming angry.

She landed upon a single long desk at the end of the ver y long hallway. She was going to say something to the bored looking man, but before she could gather her courage to say something, she was pulled away by some nervous man in a suit. He spoke to her about tasks, handed her a list of tasks, and before she could ask him what she was supposed to do, he just went POOF!

She stared at the tasks. "What am I to do with these?" she asked herself as she began to read through the tasks.

"Oh," said Llyr, as if he understood (spoiler: he didn't). He slanted a gaze back at Erebus and then answered brightly, "I don't really know what coffee is, exactly, is it a drink? It sounds like a drink. Or a rather strange food, I'm not sure..."

Alette's sleeve-covered hands were clutching her face, her eyes wide as she continued to ramble on for several more seconds about death and zombies and dying - at least until she heard what the other boil was saying.

"Oh," she said, and dropped her hands. "Well, that's a relief."

She bounced on the balls of her feet and leaned towards him, standing on her tiptoes and reaching up to poke at his cheek with a finger.

"You're Mr. Grumpyface, aren't you?" she asked cheerfully and bounced back, her hair swinging merrily behind her. "Anyway, so where are we supposed to go now? What are we supposed to do? Are we supposed to kill humans or something?"
