Dressed in a dark gray turtleneck and dark wash jeans Alexandre looked fashionable as ever, a slender black leather banded watch on his left wrist, as he walked about the soon to be tea shop. He looked more mature than he was old and looked the part of a small business owner, which he supposed he currently was.
It had taken longer to open than he'd planned, much to his displeasure, but he supposed these things happened and he really couldn't pitch a fit over what he couldn't change and had not had any control over to begin with.
He was figuring the opening would be in a week or so, give or take. Moving through the rather flooded back room he made his way toward the boxes of ingredients they needed, they had arrived the day before. It was a small order, he had a lot more ordered for delivery the day before what he hoped would be the opening day, this small order was just for the employee tasting which Buddingtonite, as Richard, would be running later in the evening. He'd made sure to get the word out about this event tonight, through various means, to those who had contacted him for a job in the tea shop. He just hoped they'd all come and participate in tonights little event. maybe he should have ordered food for everyone? Something simple....ohhh...maybe he should have. Biting on his bottom lip as eh considered the idea, thought about pulling out his phone and placing a phone call to somewhere that would deliver, but decided against it.Maybe he'd ask Richard when he turned up, see if he thought it was a good idea.
Box cutter in hand he started opening things and pulling out the packaged ingredients. Richard, and the other employees, were due here soon for the tasting where custom blends would be made and workers would taste tea after tea in order to become familiar with them. They'd also be smelling things to further their knowledge for each component and tea blend offered, in a prepackaged set up.
Sighing heavily as rose petals were brought out to the front, orange blossoms in his other hand, he wondered if this would work - this whole plot. Into the bins, one marked for rose petals and the other for orange blossoms, the two bags contents were emptied as he shook his head. He was worrying for nothing - right? This would work; he'd been careful and taken into account everything which could go wrong. learning from mistakes others, including the senshi themselves, had made. It was why he would have a guardian cat involved at all times when people were powered up. it was why he was doing it with something like a tea shop...things people would take home and something so easily over looked.
This had to work, he had a lot invested in this - so did the Negaverse as a whole. He - no - they had to succeed. This could not fail! He wouldn't permit it to fail!
Turning on his heel he headed to the back room, the door to which was left open to allow air in and possibly Richard if he decided to show up early. Box cutter in hand he went to open some more boxes and pull out plastic bags filled with various ingredients, including a few boxes of tea leaves of various styles and colors. The back room as a whole would be nice, once it wasn't flooded with boxes of merchandise for the shelves, as it had the same nice bamboo flooring as the main room and several comfortable leather chairs on wheels that were set in front of computers, to handle the book work which would need to be done as well as ordering. Off to the side, pushed into a corner, was a fridge and freezer made of stainless steel that was matched by the microwave they had set on a counter top and plugged in already. A tea kettle and a coffee maker also stood silent on the counter top next to the microwave. The rest of the backroom would hopefully be full of neatly stacked product and open space once things were organized and set up, though he was perhaps being very hopeful. By the desk where the three computers sat there was a coat rack which instead had been turned into a rack which held little black aprons for employees, they would only start at the waist and go down to the knees. For peoples actual coats, and other possessions, were lockers of a similar style to the ones he'd had in high school. Each with a small name plate affixed to the front and a persons name engraved into the little metal strip. he just hoped this was enough, that this would work.
Ashen locks were drawn back from his face by a rough hand combing through his hair, only for the bangs to fall back into his face. Tapping a foot he looked around once more before he went back to opening boxes of ingredients and hauling the bags into the main area to dump them into bins. The set up for teas to be made, for those who wished to sit and enjoy their drinks in the cafe, was all ready to be put to use tonight. Several tea kettles stood at the ready, each plugged in, as well as strains and every other item imaginable for this evenings tea tasting. Boxes in the back room attested to how prepared he was for this, as several tea pots had been liberated from their boxes earlier and were set up, strains also, and also liberated were tea cups and mugs for people to drink from.

Richard had to hand it to Alexandre. When he approached him months ago with the idea, Richard Moreau suspected his friend was serious, but he had no idea just how driven he was with this project. He was also finding himself a little under prepared for the event himself, as he had arrived much later than he would have liked, though one might not have realized this with the way the red-head was moving about, immediately tending to the stands for a little while before migrating towards another. It didn't matter how he felt- all that mattered to him was that everything was in order and that everyone was ready for when the doors opened.
Had Daran known he was a part of this, he would have been livid! Time and time again he put off reopening his own store, and if his brother were to see him offering his assistance to another man's business, he would have ripped his poorly dyed hair from the roots and then pummeled him to death shortly afterwards. Of course, with any luck, Daran would never find out about this, though he was beginning to have his doubts, though perhaps that was simply his growing paranoia starting to get the better of him. It was one of those moments where it was best not to think about it, as impossible as that might have sounded, and thus far setting up the booths were a good way of distracting him from the inevitable clash of the Moreaus that would occur by the end of the day. Hopefully that'd be a problem once he got home and not so much one while they were taste testing the products... how could he ever show himself to Alexandre again if he allowed his brother to ruin such an occasion?
Speaking of the young man, he looked around the shop that the young general-in-disguise had set up, letting out a loud whistle to expression his admiration, grabbing one of the little tea cups and giving it a small spin on his pinky before forcing himself to place it back down gingerly. "So, tell me your secret, Alex. I know what parts I've assisted with, but where did the rest of this come from? Who else have you been speaking with behind my back to get you this lovely set up?"
He was mostly joking, of course, and he was certain that Alexandre knew it. It was just his way of relieving stress without it getting too risque, and he hoped that Alex would play along. Despite his joking nature, he was still genuinely curious... who else was involved in this? He was starting to dislike surprises and he was certain that his friend felt the same.

She didn't believe in 'fashionably late'- it was self important and meant missing what could be some of the most important minutes of deals and socialization. The human mind had a tendency to latch onto the very first and very last of any sequence- memories, numbers, colors, shapes, people they met. The door was happily open, and other then the airs of still being unpacked the the place looked to have been come together fantastically. I should give Quenton a gratuity check in thanks. Way to not ******** up with the counters and floors. As she passed the portal, it was easy to pick out Alex and another man, very much a man, that was saying something. " This must be Richard. Well, you do have good taste, Alexandre. " She didn't immediately offer her name, while offering her hand, to give their joint host the opportunity to do the introduction. "The man with the master tongue."

Looking up at Richard, one hand finding it's place on a hip, he tilted his head and flashed a smile. The box cutter in the other hand, which was at his side. "I happen to call one of our Captain's a friend. She is an artist and appreciated the arts, in all their varied forms. It's from her and through her connections that this shop became so lavishly decorated. Her cousin, an ex of mine, happen to have done the counter tops for us. He's rather talented as well." Something which he supposed ran in the family, or at least in the two cousins.
Speak of the devil and she shall come, though the saying was normally a he and not a she, as he found himself watching Stroud enter the shop as well. "Stroud, it's good to see you've come early. Your friends have done wonderful. From the decorating to the tea and components for tea blending. Quenton did even better, which is no surprise, I really owe you for the help. Both of you have helped so much." They had helped not just him but the Negaverse as a whole really. He just hoped nothing went wrong as it may reflect poorly upon them.
"Mmm, yes, this is Richard. he owns the Sugar Shanty and is one of our Generals. Richard, this is Stroud." He said as he motioned between them both. "An yes, the man with the master tongue..." Trailing off as he wondered if he should have said taste buds instead but figured what he said was more fitting.
"Others should be arriving soon. I think I just have to get everything out and into the bins still." Meaning he thought he had everything else needed out and ready. "I have the list of who signed up on the desk by the first computer." The one closest to the door that lead from back room to front room. He just hoped everyone turned up and, checking his watch, soon. "Help me finish getting prepared for the arrival of the others, so we can get this going as soon as they arrive." He didn't want to waste peoples time and dally about, he didn't want to waste peoples time and cut into their lives.
"Should I have ordered food of some sort...?" He finally asked as he looked between the two hopefully, hoping they'd have an answer for him. (And gonna open this now to the others.) Ivynian Can bring the big guy in also now. ^_^

Stroud ( Cpt. Schörl )"So far as I have experienced, no. The tastes of actual food would taint the tastebuds- I was under the impression that you were going for a real Tea Tasting in the professional sense. Or as professional as novices can manage it- actual Did you know its a profession, like wine tasters? The one I met didn't even drink the tea he tasted. He spit out the sips in a garbage can he carried with him around the bar that had been set up. He worked for Lipton." "If you were going for more of a social, team-building opening with a light product review, than tea-appropriates like scones and finger sandwiches could have been good. No need to worry about it now, though. If there isn't food, there isn't food. Focus on the tea and expectations of work day. " She crossed to the screen to read over the names. None she recognized right off. She hadn't personally met many of the other Negaverse officers in or out of uniform when it came down to it, just field operations acquaintanceship. "Do you have timers out for each of the pots? Different teas have different steaping, " It was toned to the Candyman since he was the one supposedly in charge of the blends and flavours.

Billy - Gen.Bismuthite
Off one job, and to another, Billy was arriving what he considered late. 'If you're not early, you're late,' was the general rule of thumb, anyway... But he couldn't control the busses. All it did was set his mood to already slightly irritated when he entered the establishment doors.
He scanned the environment, though as someone with a constant 'bored as hell' look on his face, it would have been hard to tell what he was thinking. As he approached to others he ran a hand through his silver hair to push back the stray strands that had gone astray.
He caught the discussion of food, and his mind flickered to Ladon who was likely home prepping dinner or some-such, and that thought in turn made him think of the weight on his ring finger now... Then for the split moment his rose-pink eyes softened, they returned to stoic distance as he now stood among the group.
"Pardon my interruption, I am Billy," He introduced himself.

"That's true..and I hadn't been aware that tea tasting was the same, or at least treated in the same manner, as wine tasting. I've never been to a wine tasting but my parents have been to a fair few." Not that he envied them in the slightest bit, he didn't care for going to such an event. it sounded boring to be honest. "At least i didn't make a mistake and order food."
Setting down the box cutter he rolled his sleeves up, past his elbows, to where the beginnings of black ink showed against his pale skin. The box cutter was picked back up as he caught Stroud's question to Buddy. "He only just arrived, I've been busy setting up. So he wouldn't be able to answer that. But to answer it we have the timers but they are in a box here, if you don't mind helping me Stroud?" He questioned as he motioned to the box he needed, he had it labeled in black ink as timers. He'd labeled everything in marker when they'd come in, so everyone could read them easier.
Another figure made themselves known and the blond lifted his head and turned to face them, a smile blossoming across fair features. "It's good to see you Billy, I'm Alexandre. I'm glad you could make it." And he wasn't late either, considering no one else was here yet, aside from himself and two others.
"I hope you don't mind the slow pace but we're unpacking the last things we need and it seems that we're still lacking in bodies." Glancing about and staring at the open back door, yup still lacking. Hopefully people would turn up soon.
"Stroud, would you like to assist Buddy with the tea and preparing them? I'm honestly clueless. I can grow tea plants, dry the leaves, blend them with other things, but I don't brew tea or drink the stuff to be honest." Nope, he disliked tea and coffee. he was rather tempted to go out for an espresso truth be told. He wouldn't mind the caffeine a cup of espresso would offer him.

Cherry - Lt. Piemontite
She came skipping in ready to get down to business. She opted to go for attire similar to what she'd wear when working one of her coffee shop jobs, but she went for slightly better capris and a much dressier top. She came prepared with a waitress half apron with a pocket in the front. She wasn't sure what this little mission would really entail, but it sounded like something she did in her normal every day life. Serving tea couldn't be that different from coffee, right? She hoped anyways.
She started wrapping her hair up in a bun and securing it. Then, she looked around. She was still super new to all of this. She had only found out about this by chance and her poking around to learn about things. Though she didn't know much, she was keen on making a good impression in any event.
She looked around for someone who seemed like they were in charge. She then just approached the group of people. "Hi there! Just tell me where you want me. Also, if I can have a general awareness of what you expect of me; I'll be sure to do just that. In most of my normal jobs, I tend to cross train a lot. I don't mind working in more than one area and floating based on what areas are needing more hands on deck; and that sort of thing."
She smiled as her eyes was checking out everyone. She made a note in her mind to try to remember who is who.

Laine - Azurite Fuuuuuck she was late. Or atleast she assumed she was late. She didn't have the time to worry about if she actually was or not. Besides, the simple idea of being late made her move faster atleast. "Good job Laine, late on your first ******** day." She growled irritably as she finally reached her destination. She took a moment or too to catch her breathe, running was a b***h sometimes, and straighten her appearance. Laine blinked as another girl went skipping into the store. Oh well.. to each their own. At least one of them wouldn't be nervous.. No. She had to stop thinking like that. She had to believe in herself. Not everything she would sign up for would crash and burn like events prior. She would eventually succeed at things.. And she'd start with this little en devour. The white haired girl poked her head in and looked around before she spotted the small group of people. "Hey... Sorry if I'm late." The girl said, rubbing her neck awkwardly. "My name's Laine." It was then she noticed a familiar figure. Laine blinked for a moment before smiling and giving Richard a small wave. "Hey..."

Angeliki - Corrupted Sailor Ice
Angeliki came in through the doors just in time to catch Cherry's words. She cocked her head slightly, her fiery red hair cascading to the right as she did so. She wasn't surprised by this Americanized culture but she couldn't understand the need for someone to explain herself in such detail unless she was seeking a pat on the head. Angeliki may not have been a native speaker but she thought 'Just tell me where you want me,' made it quite clear.
Maybe Americans just liked to hear their themselves talk? Red eyes looked around the area as the last of her thoughts on this subject passed by her. Maybe that was it. Angeliki was a tactful person though, so despite these considerations, she didn't say anything in regards to what she witnessed. Instead, the international student moved away from the door and in toward Alexandre. Was this him? He looked like he was giving the orders here.
"My name is Angeliki Argyros," she greeted with confidence, a thick accent that might have been familiar to Alexandre hanging on her words. She extended her hand to him, waiting for him to accept it. Unlike another native from Greece, this one was fluent in English and she wasn't about to punch him in the face.
"What do you need of me?" She asked, her smile wide and her excitement clear.

Lianna - Empressite
You only have one chance to make a first impression. And given how poorly she had seemed to be doing in that arena recently, Lianna couldn't afford not to make a good impression now. Running a brush through her long, loose curls and straightening the comfortable, serviceable sundress she was wearing, she made sure her appearance was perfect. Or at least as close to perfect as she could get it.
This was the address of the place. She checked and double checked her phone, just to be sure. Taking a deep breath, and counting to ten to calm her nerves and center herself, she plastered a somewhat fake smile in her face and opened the door.
She wasn't the first to arrive, by any means, but she wasn't the last, either. She hoped. After all it would be a terrible thing to be late and make a bad impression. A quick glance around showed a crowd of people she was unfamiliar with. Just great. Who were they? She made a careful note of appearances and any names she heard to update her private folders of information regarding Negaverse personnel.
She spotted the man in charge- Alexandre - and walked towards him, waiting for the path to clear.
'Lianna Beauchamps, reporting for duty.'

Stroud ( Cpt. Schörl )"I can give it a whorl, " the arrivals were started in already. It was a good sign. The staff would have the motivation to not be ******** that the negaverse provided where simple hourly wages often didn't. Hopefully Richard had the blends already mixed up- she could see teas readied, but whether they were just the raw versions or the blended was not yet clear. She grabbed the box of timers to take over to one of the long counters. "We can set this up in stations along this, with cups next to each pot. " " Laine, and you Sweet-red (Cherry), those teapots that Alexandre has exhumed. Bring them. Billy, if you could grab the mugs. The mugs can be at the first pot, everyone just needs to finish their whole sample between tastings and give it a quick wipeout to avoid flavour contamination. Someone find a box with dishtowels or paper towels. " Sleet Tempest Snape feel free to supercede her ideas, just making action ChibiGingi feel free to supercede her ideas, just just making action Quote: Anyone not mentioned here, feel free to take initiative to help Björn look for towels! Björn ( Cpt. Titanlåvenite )It looked and sounded like there was already a fair amount of people gathered as the big guy approached the shop front to see the lights soft and inviting. Since it wasn't uniform day, but it was a job and for Alex, he'd worn a nice button down and fitted vest over his jeans. Wearing workout clothes to a job was enough of a no no that even his slow pate could follow it. Going in, careful not to knock anything around, it was a pleasant gather of small pretty things. None he recognized beyond Alex, but that just meant making new friends. He lifted a hand in recognition, but didn't interrupt with speech. It sounded like others had some more pressing questions of their places. Björn knew what he was going to be helping out with, so he took the request for box of towels and started looking at the box labels high and low. Moving things to get to other boxes would be no issue. Or reaching high shelves. A thought occured and was spoken generally and softly, "May need a box cutter...ja, Some of these are still tape."

Cherry - Lt. Piemontite
The girl who thought Cherry might have just been either speaking to hear herself speak and attention whoring. She'd be right on both accounts. Cherry wasn't always the type of person who spoke to hear herself speak. She only did that in certain situations. Situations like this. Where there were just too many people she didn't know who she felt she needed to build herself up for. That was what she did. Cherry was always concerned with nothing else more than making herself look good; even when it sometimes started to make her look bad. At that point, she'd become a vessel of denial.
She felt only somewhat pleased with the recognition for coming prepared. As the others started filtering in, her eyes keenly checked them out. When Schorl gave them directions, Cherry enthusiastically replied with a, "Yes Ma'am!"
Then, she turned to this Lainey. "Hi Lainey. Nice to meet you. My real name is Cerise, but most people just call me Cherry. Shall we go get some tea pots?" She started off quickly, looking around for those. She thought she had seen someone lifting a teapot out of one of those boxes just as she entered the building.
When she saw that guy who walked in last, she stopped to stare for a beat or two. Holy Cow.... look at those muscles... This might turn out to be an interesting job. She then looked around again to give the peole she was working with a second look over. Ivynian ((and btw, if he doesn't actually look as muscle'y in his civ form; lemme know. i'll edit it))

Alexandre had been looking from Billy, to Richard, to Stroud when someone else had turned up. This new person was in a apron and dressed nicely, as if ready to get to work tonight, at least she was eager to start work? She certainly wasn't someone he knew or had seen, at least as far as he knew, maybe she was new? Though there were how many members of the Negaverse and how many whom he had never met? So she might not be new as well. "I'll let you know what's expected of you, and everyone, as soon as everyone is here. So you'll have to wait for everyone else to show up. Until then make yourself comfortable and you can socialize." Though he did wonder about her eagerness, she seemed a bit too eager? Frowning for a moment he shook his head then.
Another female came his attention went from the brunette to the white haired girl who seemed to know Richard. Tilting his head he smiled then, and turned his smile from Laine to Cherry. "Evening ladies, thank you both for coming." He was happy to see them both, even if he didn't know them, every single person helped and to see people who seemed eager? "Your not that late, don't worry. people are still due to arrive actually. We're just getting set up actually, we still have a bit more to do. Tonight is really just for people to know what's going on and to sample to tea's and suggest ideas for blends. It's really part social, part informational, and part...experimental." He had to search for a word he thought might be usable to end that sentence with and had decided on that, it did fit though. They were experimenting in flavors and such so it worked.
Bright red hair caught his eye, just as he was going for the sheet he had printed of those who'd contacted him about this plan, as he was planning on checking off names to see who else was due. Red hair, and soon a hand held out to him, had his attention. The paper was set down as he took the offered hand. The accent didn't go unnoticed as he tilted his head and smiled. "Alexandre Evans, ti's a pleasure. Greek?" He asked than after a moments hesitation. He knew that accent and was sure he'd never forget it, it stood out. He could still remember the silvery gray haired corrupted who had punched him in the face. it made him, for a moment, feel guilt over not having learned the language as he'd said he'd do. It was just so hard with everything already on his plate plus learning French as he had been, and was still, doing. Language had never been a strong point for him so it took more effort for him to learn one, as he was doing.
"Right now I just need for others to show up and then we can get things started. I'll need your taste buds and opinions tonight though." A bright smile as he glanced about. This was good, people were here and he was happy to see it. His attention again on the red haired female. "I'll go into the details of the plans as soon as everyone is here so please, until then, make yourself comfortable and if you have any questions feel free to ask."
Turning as he heard a voice he found himself staring at another female and catching a name. Holding out his hand he nodded his head once. "Alexandre Evans, it's a pleasure." He really needed to start checking names off his list. So while he turned back to grab the list he continued talking to the latest arrival. "I'm glad you signed up. I hope you enjoy working here and make some friends as well." He actually was hoping everyone would make some friend, or friends, while working here. He was hoping this would last a good while and people would really bond as time went on, he really did like to think of the Negaverse as a large group of people who should all be friends or at least know each other and be able to all work together well enough, he just happen to want to be friends with nearly everyone.
As Stroud took over, not that he much minded as she seemed to know more than he did, he bobbed his head once. "The teas need blending, I was only able to get the components out of the boxes and into the bins. So I can work on that also, although we do need some not blended so people can work on making their own blends." He offered as he went to hunt down the paper towels. he'd gone and gotten a case of them and they were somewhere amongst all the other boxes. they were labeled, as everything was...but where were they he wasn't sure as he started the hunt. "I apologize for things being less set up Stroud, I didn't get off work till later than I'd planned." And later than he should have. He had been roped into staying a bit longer and helping blend some oil incense, which was likely why he smelled like sage, sandalwood, and other lovely things.
At the sight, and help, from Björn the blond flashed him a brilliant smile, pleased to see him and he did look good - though still huge as ever. "I have one." And he had at some point stupidly stuck it into a back pocket of his jeans. Fishing it out he offered it to the other. "here." He really should have put it down, like next to the printed up sheet that was now forgotten. "The box should be labeled, I went a head and labeled everything as it arrived - for easy finding." Lips twisting and twitching as he went to move a box, only to have one nearly fall over and onto him, he managed to catch the small but heavy box, labeled china, and set it back in place. "Once everything is set up and out front this back room will be neater and easier to handle." Sighing he shook his head and went back to the hunt, the quicker they were found the quicker he and Richard could get to the tea blending and get that done while others did as Stroud had directed.
"It's good to see you Björn, how have you been?" Wanting to start up a conversation as he worked, really hunted, as he glanced to the other to see if he'd found the illusive case of paper towels. He should order cloth dishtowels or something also..maybe. "It's been a while." He'd been a bit too busy, and not with it emotionally, to go to the gym as he had been doing.

Stroud ( Cpt. Schörl )She kept her ears open for comments and answers and it turned out fortuitous- she caught Alex's comments about tea blending and raw teas. "Sure thing. One of you- Lianna or Angeliki. Or both. Have a look for glass dishes or jars. Small ones. Basically something that the dried leaves can be portioned in for raw selections, the measure scoops for spooning out into some more empty dishes for everyone to try their hand at making a personal blend once Richard and Alex make the master blends for everyone to try. " Björn ( Cpt. Titanlåvenite )He happily accepted the box cutter, "That is a good idea. When the arrived means you were certain what they were...I'll have to remember that. " Especially if he was going to be dealing with a lot of boxes and the stock room. Dealing with boxes and sharpie pens was easier than blending teas and talking to customers- good thing he wasn't meant for that part of the shop. In a few moments, moving a couple stacks out from in front of others, the right box came to light. "Life is good- promotion and a job both. Healing from ...burns. It looks very up. I've just got to make sure I deserve it all. " It didn't take a thought to unstack it from a small, Alexandre-sized tower, open it and hand out a roll of paper towels to be divvied into wiping singles. "It has been a while! But you are busy, it is understandable. And more with this starting. You have been hard working, ja? You stacked all these boxes? That is like a workout too." Graceangel He looks huge and muscled all the time. Uniform/powering up doesn't do anything to his natural height, weight or girth.
