"The ones that you were friends with before are going to be the worst. The hardest..." Quinn's thoughts went to Gunn and she frowned. She was pretty sure that the Senshi of Wildfire would stop at nothing to set Leto on fire entirely. "The red head?" Quinn snapped back to reality.
"She was my friend before the whole shiny black dress thing too. Ares lead a team back a few years ago that I was a part of. Only a handful of us followed her through the mirror, and most of the rest want us dead."
The two Chaos Senshi had a lot more in common than they knew.
Her stomach knotted when Clarisse went back to Bischofite. The grip on Clary's hand tightened slightly, her eyes narrowing. "That man, or whatever he is now..." Quinn shook her head. "Clarisse, you listen to me. You are worth more than you could possibly comprehend. And not just to the Negaverse. And they are lucky to have you because you are loyal and you
care and it's so ******** easy to stop caring in all of this..."
Quinn trailed off. Her expression softened as she looked at the other girl. "If Bischofite doesn't appreciate you, it is
his loss. Don't ever stop caring. When you stop caring you become bitter and jaded and... And the Chaos will take over every tiny bit of you and it will consume you and you are too good of a person to get lost in all of this."
Quinn got lost in it a long time ago. She stopped caring because caring hurt too much. Being numb to all of it, letting all of it take over her life? That was far easier. Broken bones were easier to fix than broken hearts. But Clarisse?
Clarisse made Quinn care again.
