That night, Bailey was Subra. She was the Chibi Senshi of Lynxes. And she was going to prove to Daniel, to Massalia, that she didn't need him to protect her all the time. That he didn't need to sneak off to patrol all on his own all the time. She wanted to help! She wanted to be a superhero, just like him! So out and about she was, fuku'd up and snuck out of the house after she was supposed to be in bed (she would apologize to her parents when she could!), and wandering through the park, trying to look braver than she was.

Because once she'd gotten there, she'd realized that she wasn't entirely sure if she could fight a monster if any showed up. And that she was alone. And that maybe she should have tried finding one of the grown-ups like her and Massalia that he'd told her about.

She was very tempted to turn around and go home and try again the next night, with Massalia or a grown-up.
