For those who plan to participate but still wanna chat while that week goes by, Victoria has made a nice little place we can all go!
Its a Tumblr chat room, but you don't have to sign up for tumblr to use it. And it appears to save all the messages entered, so even though we can chat in real time, you can also go back to read what you missed. smile
I, like many of you I am sure, have grown tired of Gaia's Administrative behavior as of late, and I have some important stuff to say about it.
With the constant releases of bigger and bigger gold generators which are purposefully inflating and ruining the market for people who obtain gold the free way, pushing gaia cash sales and items several times daily, the advertisements you can't block, and the ever-growing more and more expensive items- none of it is fair to us Users.
I can't believe they truly ask of people to spend ammounts like $1000 worth of GC on pixels- pixels that won't exist if the website ever goes down for any reason.
Considering these things, there is a user planned Walk-Out (boycott) happening on June 15'th through 21'st. If you want to participate, all you need to do, is simply not log in for those days.
If for any reason, you can't stay offline the whole week, that's fine! If you still want to participate, then just don't log in on the first day, the 15'th.
We want to show Gaia, that the users are important. We want to show them the true intense number, of just how many of us, are upset. If we don't log in, hopefully it will show them all the potential people- and ultimately, REVENUE (since that's all they care about anymore) that they will be losing. Because if they don't change, people are likely to quit the site.
The reason I'm telling you about the Walk-Out this way, is because gaia has tried to censor the original thread maker for this event. They essentially told her to be quiet and file a formal complaint- then they deleted her petition thread which had over 200 people signed and agreeing not to log in on these days.
If the word can't be spread in the public, I see no other way than for guild leaders to do their job and lead the way. People cannot participate if they don't know it exists. But if you don't want to, then it's just as easy to ignore when you do know it exists.
