 R E M U S M A I E N G E L Get out your guns , battles begun. Are you a saint, or a sinner? If loves a fight then I shall die, with my heart of a trigger. Working at the library had it's perks. It's relatively quiet, what with the space filled with hushed whispers and the scrape of papers being turned and all. It was orderly and clean for the most part. Kuno's access to books wasn't limited; a plethora of novels were at her fingertips and within her grasp at a moments notice. The stress was manageable, with vacation time and work schedules only a loose-grip on her free hours. She especially enjoyed being able to get away with reading on the job sometimes, or even go as far as to claim it was work itself. It was pleasurable, leisure, and had little touch of her borderline-obsessive habits. Not to mention the fact that Kuno was able to escape her parent's unfaltering wariness of her in the outside world as she tried to prove time and time again that she was capable of doing things on her own - and without the help of her parents.
She had taken an early shift today and arrived at the library early than she usually would, enjoying the quiet atmosphere that she had all to herself. Not many people would come here very often so she was left alone to her readings at the front desk. At the moment, Kuno had her attention fixed on a particular memoir called 'The Glass Castle,' by Jeannette Walls. Even after starting it only an hour ago, already the book had captured her interest. She simply could not stop reading it until she was finished. A couple times, though, Kuno would peek out from behind the safety of her book and check and see if there were any customers who needed help. Upon noticing that there were none, though, her gaze would slowly travel back down towards the book again.
Before she began reading again, however, her mind wandered back to the thought of Brain Burst. She had been on haiku for a quite a while now after her parents insisted that the game was taking over her life. Kuno did not believe them and even, for once in her life, stood up for herself and complained that she only played because it allowed her to become someone other than herself. They refused to comply and told her to either take a break from the game for a while or that they would take the matter into their own hands. Frustrated and upset, Kuno gave in and told them she would agree to taking a break from BB, even if it was short, and to get back to her studies as soon as possible. She doubted that the leader of Purple Legion, Violet Eclipse, would mind or much less notice her absence as she usually kept herself most of time, never needing too much assistance from her loyal aid. Shaking the thought from her head, the white-haired girl went back to her reading but was still alert to anyone who might come in.
