It seems that the inflation has affected Gaians in different ways. To some, it has made it near impossible to quest any items unless you buy Gaia Cash. And to others, it has been great for them. Making gold is easier than ever when it comes to vending because if you just hold onto the item for a day or two it can increase in price by a lot.
So, my question for you all, how has it affected you?

I can't buy anything anymore! I finished getting enough money for Lusty Scoundrel, just to see the MP price raise all the way to 2.1 bil. This is ridiculous. -_-

Gaia is simply not fair to those who are just joining, I get this is the only way gaia makes money, but it's getting out of hand.
An item can inflate from 200M - 2B in just a couple days.
I really appreciate this guild for what we/it is doing, but then again, gold is being rushed into the economy so fast that it's going to be very hard to get it back down.
Gold generators need to be stopped.
Also take note that.
Wasn't gaiaonline, sold to another company last year?
I noticed that since then, gaia started having major adds, and inflation begun.

i dont spend money here on gaia,
i just make art so i can earn gold.. ;_;

Its like there's no point to doing anything anymore. The fun of Gaia used to come from all the different ways people could earn their gold and the different challenges they presented. Posting, polls, fishing, zOMG, the MP, Booty Grab, etc. Each was fun in its own way and had its own methodology and challenges to earn gold. And that was what made this site fun!
But now it seems all you need to earn gold is a credit card. Where's the fun in that? Not only that, but its lowered the overall value of gold to the point where anything less than 1 billion makes a person dirt-poor.
tl;dr Its just not fun anymore.

The inflation is good and bad for me.
I remember wanting an item worth 1bil. Seeing that one day has passed and the item rose to 2.7bil, I was forced to sell all of my items to afford that one item.
That same item is still rising in the marketplace, so the inflation did add more value to my account... but still, I liked my old outfit better.

Last week my wishlist had mostly items worth 50-500mil now they are mostly over 5 billion - same items.

The gold inflation is absolutely RIDICULOUS. Not only that, the staff and admins are NOT stopping with the new gold generators every other week at least. It irritates the crap out of me. It seems like they see guilds like ours who are trying their absolute hardest to get this inflation down and they end up trying to circulate more gold into the market.
It's as if they are undermining us users, and it upsets me very much. When was the last time we had a legitimate sponsor world on Gaia? 2011-2012ish? That is a long time ago, I want that part of Gaia back!! D:
Also, I really don't like that we are paying them money, but nothing is getting done on here except for new recolors and gold generators. Oh, and don't forget Tentacl -__-+++++

It has not effected me much compared to other users due to the amount of items I have but it has effected a lot of my friends, some even going as far as leaving. :c
I don't really quest much but being on this site as long as I have I know that something can be done if users take control and this is a good start B)

After coming back after a five-year hiatus (I honestly just forgot about Gaia), I had not known what had happened until someone had told me about the inflation. It has affected me mostly in bad ways, as I like having a collection of unique items to show, but the one good way? The people who were getting the item bundles and either were generous or did not care for the item they got threw those items in the Dumpster, and I managed to find them by pure chance. I have about 30 items worth over a million, but I'm not going to be selling or trading them anytime soon. Those things are treasures to me. I do sell duplicates of items, but that will be about it.

Gaia isn't fun anymore. I feel like playing games such as zOMG and booty grab have no effect on how much gold you have compared to the marketplace prices. For new users it is harder than ever to get started and get any gold at all. Prices are multiplying by 10 in less than a week and gaia is so cash based with all their new items daily, advertisements and I've just given up reading the announcements. I see new items that I want to buy, but I know I can never afford them because they're over 10 billion and as a student I cannot afford gaia cash. The new management team needs to realise that a lot of users are unable to buy gaia cash, and that this inflation is sucking the fun out of gaia. I see so many charity threads where people beg for help because they can't afford anything, and it feels like we are so helpless. That's why I feel so good to have found this guild. I hope everyone (active) on gaia joins this, or at least signs a petition which we can show to the staff. The events aren't as fun anymore as well, I feel gaia is going really downhill this and last year.

despite not wanting to do it well i have been purchasing the gold generators and despite this fact by the time i get enough gold from them the price of items has doubled
it seems like every day you have to spend thousands of real dollars to get even the most basic items
so many things i want and so little gold

The inflation's seriously affected my questing. .-.
It's always been incredibly hard for me to get items, but before they raised the cap, I had JUST caught up with people, had 35m, thought I was finally doin okay.
And then they raised the cap and I'm still among the lower half of the population.
I remember in 2009, when 100k was a huge thing for me.
Don't get me wrong, though.
I've got a lot more than a lot of gaians, and I do try to help out.
But I think the time for passing the gold on and buying more is over with, because it's obviously just making the economy worse when we buy more.
I'd rather keep my gold, and sink it for the better of the whole site, instead of 5-8 random people that are questing, if that makes sense to the people outside of my head.

very badly sweatdrop as I cannot afford to buy things off internet. Questing is so frustrating as it kind of puts me in shame to ask for help on charity forums. Most of the time I have been driven to leave gaia and still have that feeling so in the long run I might go on a permanent hiatus emotion_facepalm
