Attack On Titan (SNK)
I'm still in the process of watching the series so I know very little about it. Forgive me if I'm wrong on a point. Meet Eren, after loosing his mother to a Titan, he joins up to try and stop them. Himself, Misaki (His foster sister) and his friend Armin find out just how dangerous fighting them can be the longer they stay in the army.

I am finding it increasingly difficult to get into that anime. I'm on episode four (or is it five?) now and its just annoys me.
Its not because of how mopey the characters are. Or how annoying Eren is (although he is annoying). Or how bland and dull Mikasa is. Its the artwork. I hate the artwork.
The characters are drawn really well, and there's some nice detail and water colors in the backgrounds. The 2-D CG is also a nice touch. So, you'd think I'd like the art and animation, right? Well, I would if only THERE WASN'T THAT ******** BIG BOLD OUTLINE AROUND EVERYONE! Gah!
Seriously! Background layer, no bold outlines. Buildings, trees, aqueduct, whatever. They look fine. Middle layers, pillars, the wall, wagons, etc. still no bold outlines they fit in perfectly with the first layer. Character layer, SUDDENLY HUGE BOLD OUTLINE! And why? no reason. I can't stand it. It makes them seem like they're not really there. Like they're just stickers I can peel out at any time and put somewhere else.
I just cannot empathize with these characters or pity them for their struggles when it feels like they're not even part of the world they're in.

Oh my goodness, someone finally said it! As much as I absolutely love this show, the animation bothers me. I've sort of gotten used to it by now but I remember not wanting to watch the show because of the weird bolded-sticker-line. It's a great show but the animation just kills me sometimes.

I've gotten all the way to the end of the first season.
Not caught up on the manga which is still going...
o.e
Overall- this will be "contradictory" to say I suppose but I really hate this anime.
I don't honestly understand what people like about, and I don't honestly understand why I watched past the first episode. o.e'
&& of course now I'm curious to see how it will continue to go...
