Eager eyes searched the horizon for any signs of movement. The day was beautiful; the sun was shining brightly, a soft and subtle breeze was ever billowing across the lands, and there was not a cloud in the sky. For Sharmila this was almost too inviting of conditions. She wanted to break away from the tree line that she stood in the shadows of, to simply dart out and bolt across the wide open plains ahead of her without a care in the world and without looking back. Almost wasn't quite enough though. The day was warm, and though the daily habits and duties were usually quite time consuming Sharmila's mother had grown weary and had requested to return to their home to rest. Though Sharmila knew her mother would be alright if she were to leave for a short period of time she did not simply wish to abandon her without either first scouting their surroundings or at least giving her mother notice. Despite her overly cautious nature Aditi usually relaxed her guard in Sarmila's presence; this left Sharmila fearful and wary of leaving her mothers side for even a moment. At the same time, Aditi had survived long before Shar had come into this world and had yet to befall any real harm. Still, the tantalizing sight of the long green blades of the field before her swaying and dancing as the breeze swept over them, seemingly causing the entire plain to roll like waves of water would was a difficult sight to pull herself away from. Making sure that there were none near the tree line that may follow their scent or track their hoof-prints was her last area to check, she had but to return home for a brief moment before she could without hesitation be 'free' from her self imposed duties, but leaving such splendor for even a moment seemed... wrong? Sharmila let out a hearty chuckle to herself as she thought of how ridiculous her predicament was; but she remained still, watching the horizon all the same.
