Shu was still adjusting her apron on her way to Otto's room, the one that nice neighbour Mr. Bashmet borrowed her. A double bow on shoulder straps, a big ribbon bow on waist to adjust the length (Sorry Mr, she will iron it neat afterwards) and she was running. The petite girl heard that the full hunter had a kitchen of his own and his room was big, that made her rather jealous, she was gonna to take a good look of it. She might be holding some ingredients she took from the cafeteria kitchen with her also, they are gonna make the greatest dinner ever.

Putting down her stuff, still panting, Shu knocked on the door. "Hello, anyone? I hope you don't forget we have an important private lesson today?" She chirped with a happy tone. She was banned to enter the kitchen ever since she nearly blew it up.

A second chance was given, and she would actively treasure it.

Hearing the knock and the voice outside, Cami all but jumped out of her clothing to answer the door, gathering the girl outside up in a big hug the moment she saw her. "Shu! You look so prepared, that's awesome!" An arm around the Asian girl's shoulders lightly she steered her into the apartment and immediately towards the small kitchenette that Otto had so graciously allowed her to use. The fact that he was going to get to eat whatever they cooked had probably been a big selling point.

"Hey Otto, Shu's here! Come out if you wanna watch." She'd tried to prepare. Several pots and pants were sitting out, utensils that had been borrowed (permanently) from the kitchens over the span of a few days, various things used to make their meal: pasta, ground meat, triangles of thin crust pizza dough, fresh and raw veggies for a stir fry.

"I think I bought a bit too much food but I wanted you to learn the basics so...lots of practice!" Cami was on cloud nine. She was teaching someone something! And it was Shu! The two had communicated rather often over Twitter about Hugs Division, Mimsy, and several other things but they'd never really hung out. Maybe she was going to cement a new friendship?

Otto came slinking out from whatever place he'd been moping in. Likely the bedroom, reading. He didn't want to learn how to cook, but he was hungry. Cami had been fussing with the kitchen for a while, and it made him want to snack on everything she'd brought out.

Instead, he'd hid himself away, sulking like a kid for unknown reasons.

The teen was silent, his grumpy glare a sign he was in a bit of a mood. He sat himself at the kitchen's island and watched them. Judged.

The hug was a bit surprised but she quickly hugged back. Shu was quite confused, Cami was arrived earlier than she did, but she acted like another owner of the room? The taller girl was very familiar with everything in the room, what she can observe. "Of course I have to! I am a student today." She piled up a smile. She stared at the kitchenette and checked on it, it was a small one but well equipped. That was what full hunter would get, she was a bit jealous at the scene.

"Wow so many ingredients! Never not too much when it comes to food." She grinned at Cami. She was a bit excited for their first get-along, Cami seemed to be a funny and warm girl on twitter. First impression was a warm hug already won her heart over, though it was a bit weird to her so comfortable in another boy's room...she needed a further observation for their relationship. Friendship was already established since they met, the friendly girl seldom reject a new friend request.

Seeing Otto walked out like a puppy called by owner was quite amusing, the petite girl giggled at the scene as she greeted the hunter. She jumped in front of the hunter, hunkered and looked up, hands waving to check his status. "Hey Otto, are you still sleeping? Why you always look so grumpy? Lack of sugar? I have something for you, treat it as a thank you for borrowing your kitchen to us." She beamed, grabbed out a handful of candies and tugged into his hands. "We will do some preparation work, if you fully awake, come and join us! We're gonna have a fun cooking lessooooooooon~" She stood up, ready to go to the table again. Before that, as if she thought of something important, she turned around and wiggle a finger. "Don't tell me things like Boys don't cook." She even tried to imitate his grumpy face and said the line with some sort of low boy voice.

Sighing a bit at the fact that Otto was in a mood and the likeliness of getting him out of it dwindling by the minute, she rather just tried to ignore it. Casually going over and giving him a quick snuggle would probably just make him a bit moodier if only because they had an audience. She'd just have to ambush him later when their guest had her back turned to watch the stove and it amused her, and warmed her, that there was actually someone to care about like that. If Shu had mentioned her observation that the redhead seemed very at home, well, it was because it sort-of was now.

It never once occurred to her that anyone would think anything about it but then, that was Cami. She didn't think about much of anything other than how it was going to affect her in the moment though, at least this time, she was thinking more about Otto as well. He was her best friend, after all! Teeth nipped into her lip as she watched the tiny Asian girl noodle him slightly, filling a few pots with water and setting them on the stove. "Alright! So, you mentioned prep work and that's good. We can't make sauce from scratch because that would take all day but we can make the rest of the fixings." Two jars of sauce, both spaghetti and pizza, were set aside so that she could pull the meat forward to unwrap it. "Shu, if you don't like getting your hands all greasy, I have gloves." This was important.

Tossing the meat in a bowl she gestured Shu over and handed her a recipe. Everything was, thankfully, in metric and Celsius so that both of the girls would be familiar with what was needed. Camille could do Imperial measurements if she had to but...why bother? "Alright, now what you have to do is find and measure these ingredients into the bowl along with the meat. Don't be afraid to ask me if you're unsure!" And she leaned back against the counter to observe.

Eyes flicked over to Otto. "Let me know if you wanna help."

Otto stared down at the bubbly Shu. He'd met her as a scared but curious ghost girl in the basement. Yet here she was, bright eyed and ready to learn. His eyes cast down as candies were shoved into his hands. For a moment he fiffled with them, before occupying a corner of the kitchen island to keep his pile of sweets.

It was here he slowly consumed them, watching the two ladies work on cooking. How odd to watch something so domestic. Kostya had cooked for him too, but Kostya was much more robotic in his demur.

He narrowed his eyes at Shu's waggling finger with much teenage angst.

His eyes lifted, half chewing a candy when Cami gently informed him he could join at some point. "It's fine. I'd just burn stuff." The spoiled side of him was sure he'd aways have someone to cook for him anyway.

Shu was sensitive of the surrounding though she was stupid as what Z liked to call her, once Otto appeared the aura in the air was a bit strange, something between Cami and Otto. Otto's comportment couldn't be called a welcome one, and for one second, she was wrapped around by the dark past of rejection. But she's Shu, the cheerful enthusiastic girl! The petite girl gave her face a rather hard pat with both of her hands as a cheer, before she went to him. She didn't need to know, she would know it later.

The island got no secrets but Shu had been hiding some, the trainee thought others might too. She turned the jars curiously as Cami put them out and then the meat - "Yes please!" A pair of gloves would be the best thing not to get the sauces into fingernails, that would hinder her fully devotion into it. "Are we gonna make some spaghetti and pizza tonight?" That was what the wrapping paper around the jars hinted her.

Then, she was given ingredients to measure, measuring cups, a set of table spoons and a bowl of meat in it waiting the rest to join it. Wait. Wait-That was not her plan! Why she was doing this alone? She didn't mean she couldn't do simple jobs like measuring ingredients, but that wasn't what she think....
She missed her sisters. Even though she nearly blew up the kitchen, cooking with them was fun, but they were gone and she was alone. Otto's small kitchen suddenly shaped to a more familiar kitchen, the only thing remained the same was just her, standing by herself there.

No.

She promised them she will be smiling each day since that time and she gonna keep that last promise. Z said with an emergent tone. Of course not. Her reply with a grin in mind. She decided to drag someone, Cami was the teacher so exempted, leaving her the only candidate - the seem-to-be spoiled Otto.

He was cute with a good looking that any girlfriends would cook for him, she admitted that, the so-called maternity within everyone would can let him be lazy all the time. However, that was not her original plan. So- "Otto!" She called, walking towards the lazy grumpy puppy. "Are you awake now? You need to help, you are just like the person with donut on his neck, it's working time." She tried to tug him up by arm with her endeavor.

Pull and pull with both hands, she was desperate not to do it solely.

If Cami had heard or known half of what was going through Shu's sweet head as she stared at the jars of ingredients she would have been incensed. Unfortunately she'd never really taught anybody how to do much of anything and the things she had were not thing she was going to be teaching this lovely sweetheart. Mimsy was not nearly as attached to Camille as she was Shu Lei. Instead she just watched her head towards Otto, cajoling him to join in, biting her lip at the canisters. Everything was rather carefully timed and so, shrugging slightly, she started to dump them into the bowl herself. "Spaghetti and meatballs, pizza pinwheels which are kinda like bite-sized rolls, and then stir-fry veggies. The veggies are a bit out of place but I figured if you didn't like pasta or pizza you might like them."

Seasoning and breadcrumbs dumped in she hesitated and looked at both Otto and Shu. He'd said he'd burn things but there was no burning required when you were breaking eggs into meat and kneading it. "Uhm, did either one of you guys wanna crack the eggs and knead the stuff together? That's why the gloves because you have to like...squish it all together." She made squeezing motions in the air with her own gloved hands, looking a little awkward because she was trying a little too hard, not sure if Shu was just interested in getting Otto to help or if Cami herself had done something wrong.

"It's kinda the fun part? Sort-of?"

Shu made no sense. He stared as she tried to get him to join. Maybe he should have pretended to nap.

He looked up at Cami, giving a resigned sigh. "Fine. That sounds easy enough." It was probably like stirring cake batter, which he'd done with Eva to some success. "I don't need gloves." He made equal grabby hands to just set the stuff in front of him. He didn't want to get off of the bar stool. He could work on the kitchen's island counter instead.

The Shu they knew didn't know how to deal with things not according to plan. The menu sounded excellent, but it was hard to compare to the failed Souffle that they made together, the laughter and the tears involved were the best seasoning.

She watched Otto left his island with a sigh, took the stuff and went back. The strong rejection made her had difficulty to breathe but there was no longer someone to hug her and told her "It's okay". There was a sympathetic sigh in her mind, a soft one. She might feel a pat on her head, but there was no one next to her.

Cami didn't do anything wrong, just a stupid girl had made a terrible mistake.

Similar to the girl with red hair, she didn't understand which step went wrong. No matter how carefully she recalled the details in her chair, she was clueless. There was another sigh. I-I just want to make everyone happy! She replied with a sobful voice but there was no tears on her face though her head was lower. She felt another pat on her head, maybe just the illustration, the young male voice said (maybe frowning): The word seemed like a gentle push at her back, and she jumped off her chair to walk towards Cami with a smile. "Anything I can help?"

It wasn't too late to let the train back to the rail, right?

Cami couldn't help but laugh at Otto's laziness though she couldn't blame him for it. She hadn't yet let him know that dishes were going to be a b***h (if he hadn't already guessed) and she was planning on using all that excess energy to help clean it all up. It was part of the rule, anyway. If you didn't cook? You helped clean up. Nonetheless she deposited the bowl of meat in front of him. "Go crazy. Knead away. It's good for relieving stress so if you wanted to check Twitter first..." She stuck her tongue out at him a bit before turning back to Shu.

The impulse to hug her again was omnipresent but she was fighting it back because, unlike Otto, not everyone was alright with a twenty-two year old latched onto them at every damned opportunity. Gesturing widely at the kitchen she tried another tactic. "Well, anything I can use help with. Was there anything specific that you were wanting to learn? I admit I don't know how much you know so I don't want to bore you with the basics if you know it all." Maybe that would help? Shu had seemed disinterested in simply pouring things into a bowl.

"Did you wanna try the pizza rolls maybe? Those are pretty fun when you have to try to roll it up like it's a jelly roll." Which is exactly what it was. A jelly roll only with pizza toppings and dough instead of fruit and jelly. Savory, not sweet. Frowning for a second she shook her head. "Should've just made a jelly roll. I forgot I knew how."

Otto gave Cami a sassy sort of glare, but kneaded the meat anyway. Without checking Twitter.

She was right. It was therapeutic. He delightfully ignored both women and kneaded away, hyper focused on his work.

Shu's eyes rolled back and forth between the two, maybe her guess was correct.....but she didn't feel comfortable to ask. Back to Cami, she tilted her head at her question. Meat was being handled, sauces for pizza were ready.....that left - The Asian girl actually knew nothing can be called basis when it came to cooking, maybe she knew something from the manga, but not practical. "Jelly roll?" She blinked at Cami, not something from her culture meant she doesn't know how to do it.

So many question marks on her head, further instructions needed.

Ignoring Otto and his sassy glares because going over and giving him a noogie would have likely just sent him back into the bedroom to ignore them for the rest of the day, Cami focused on Shu instead. All she had to say was. "Make that into balls when you're done, Otto, and drop them on the foil sheet over by the stove." Hooking an arm around the shorter girl and giving her a bit of a reassuring squeeze she pulled her over back towards the counter. "Yeah, here, lets try this." Popping open the can of dough she rolled it out onto a sheet of wax paper.

Putting the cheese and toppings between the two of them Cami half-demonstrated. "Feel free to grab some and help out if you want. So basically we have to coat the whole thing in cheese..." The cheese went on. "Then whatever toppings you like. I'm a big fan of pepperoni so we're gonna use a lot of it." Tiny mini versions of the meat followed the cheese and she gazed down at it critically. Making sure there were no hands in the way she cut it into thirds. "This one for me, that one for you, the third one for Otto." Looking up at her best friend she waved for his attention.

"What do you like on your pizza? I've got pepperoni, olives, mushrooms, onions, peppers, and pineapple." Already some of that was going on her roll. Because it was the sample she turned her body so Shu could see. "Then we just take it and...roll it up!" Delicately she grabbed the soft dough and rolled it so that it was a cylinder with delicious pizza goodness inside. "We bake them and then, when they're done and cooled off, we dip them in however much sauce you like. It tastes the same as pizza but is actually better for you!"

Otto had no idea that Shu was thinking of such things. Twitter seemed to have gotten the wrong impression of his and Cami's status.

"Myeh." Otto grumbled passively in understanding. While he was acting grumpy and bratty, he wasn't upset about anything at all. He idly flicked his gaze to the two girls and what they were doing. Pizza rolls. They looked good, and they weren't even done yet.

"Everything." Otto answered. He wasn't too picky. Although if one were to ask, his favourite pizza of all was Hawaiian with Frank's Hot Sauce drizzled over top. Not too much though, or it would ruin the sweetness of the pineapples.
