This RP is between Idris Taedros (Divena & DivenasMom) and Tropo Exo (Bardess Ookami) Idris flew through the air with her eyes closed, enjoying, as she always did, the feel of the wind in her feathers. The sky was always so full of beautiful colors, and in a few hours the stars would be out. The air was cool and crisp, as only a spring evening could be. She could faintly smell rain in the distance. Or maybe that was wishful thinking. There was little more exciting than flying in a storm or at night. Not that her papa would agree. Oh, no, Aydan would probably have ten kinds of fits if he knew what his daughter got up to on her own. Hmm. Maybe she should pop back home and fill him in. She giggled softly to herself at the thought.
Some might consider the mare cruel for her behavior toward her father. Those people had never seen Aydan’s face turn red as he tried not to have a heart attack. Her aunt Sonya had trained both her and her sister well, and mama hadn’t exactly discouraged them. Of course, mama seemed to think that papa needed a little unpredictability in his life. Idris wasn’t certain what that meant, other than the fact that mama let her and her sister mess with papa’s head sometimes. So long as they didn’t go too far, anyway.
She shook these thoughts away and opened her eyes so she could find a place to land until the sun set. This time of day was lovely, but she preferred to fly in the full light of day or the dark of night.

Tropo stood up in a nice glade near where Idris was flying. It was a perfect place to pass an evening. There was nice healthy grass growing, just enough trees to shelter against the elements, but also a clear space for seeing the sky. There was also a lovely clear spring for drinking. One would think that these were reasons why Tropo Exo had come to rest here. One, however, would be giving him way too much credit. Tropo had wandered there and stopped because he had seen a small bird. The bird had long since flown away, but that was fine, Tropo had already forgotten it had ever existed. Right now he was involved in a staring contest with a large tree. It was clearly the strong silent type.

Idris landed lightly and paused when she saw the stallion staring at the tree. How odd. She watched him for a moment, then watched the tree for a moment. When nothing happened, she inched closer to him as quietly as she could. When she was right behind him, she asked, "Whatcha doin?"

"Staring contest," he whispered, ears flicking spasmodically. It was hard standing still this long. "Don't make me blink, blink and I'm dead. Don't blink. It's fast, faster than you think. A dink. A dink. A do. I loooooove youuuuuuuuu" he sang, eyes still on the tree, tail twitching wildly, thrashing about against his flanks. He wanted to move, he wanted to move he wanted to MOVE! Why wouldn't this tree just blink already?

"Um.... the tree doesn't have eyes," she pointed out, rather reasonably. "How can it blink without eyes?"
