xxxxxThe foul stench that billows from the interior of the tomb complex is as grave as a warning as you could receive. Carried on the air are rot and death, fresh blood and old magic, incense and spoiled meat. The corridor in front of you is deformed with fleshy vines running along the walls, the very stone blistered up by pendulous growths and pulsating cysts. Dark slime weeps from the walls and ceiling, and the floor is spongy as if the stone slabs were becoming like skin. The shadow's work has been done here and the interior of the tomb complex has been changed as a result, surely a symptom of an open wound running from the illuminated nation into the depths of madness. As you venture forth to investigate the appearance of such a place, from behind the curtain of overgrowth you can hear the sound of low laughing, a human voice echoed by another deeper, rumbling tone. It's as if it is challenging you to come in.

"Blood. I smell blood." Reeanah told the group as they entered the tomb. Her ears and tail were extended, on alert. She did not like where they were, not one bit. Maria had opted to stay with the dragon because, frankly, she doesn't like places like this one. She perferred open water, and open sky. Intet wouldn't fit anyway, and if he was attacked by some random Vel Ghast she wanted to be there with him. Haman permitted her to stay behind as the rest of the group ventured into the chamber. Even though nothing there could possibly be alive, the young Kiranu had her claws bared and her senses at their wits end. Their footsteps echoed in the halls, all of them. Liam especially. Whenever he stepped, Reeree's ears twitched. The silence, that aside, was utterly deafening. Somewhere, deeper in the catacomb, Reeanah had deduced a page could be found, potentially. If not, there would be some other ancient, potentially worthwhile artifact she could collect and sell. This was her life. She was a treasure hunter by trade, and a killer by nature.

Memories of her ship going down filled her mind. She was on a diving trip, searching for a lost pirate ship, deep within the ocean. She was putting on scuba gear, already apprehensive about even going into the ocean with no knowledge of what awaited them, when she heard it. It was like something huge had grunted under the waters' surface. Her hair stood on end and she moved to the edge of the ship. A rogue wave was incoming faster than she had known them to occur, and multitudes bigger. Within it, she saw a fin... The next thing she knew she was battling the current, only breathing because she had the tank and mask on. She saw some of her best friends, some of the world's brightest archeaologists and best treasure hunters drown as she was pulled away by the water. The last thing she saw before her head slammed into something hard was a massive creature, womanly with red hair, swimming into the depths with a half eaten man in one hand and the mast of her ship in the other...

She snapped back into the current reality as Liam grabbed her shoulder. She nearly wandered off of a cliff, leading to a downward spiral with no visible end. "Woah there kitty lady." he said looking down as a few rocks dropped with no audible signal of it's end. "Oh dear, thank you Liam. That was a little bit too close." she said as she shook off her own rattled feelings. "This way, my contact told me that the man's crypt would be near the entrance to the bottomless pit underneath the sarcophagus." She led them quickly, everyone still remaining silent as if something was preventing them from speaking more than they wanted too. Eventually, it was Luscious, the quietest of them all besides Karmina, who spoke up. "Normally I couldn't care less, but you all need to perk up. Seriously, this place is freaky enough without us psyching ourselves out!" As he snapped off, Haman cracked a smile, which turned into a giggle. "He is right, friends! Lighten up. It's not like we haven't killed zombies before. What is the worst that could come from high spirits?" he offered jogging ahead of the group and walking backwards. Liam finally gave way, taking on his bravado of courage and spouting off about not being scared. This helped everyone out it seemed. Even dreary Karmina seemed to perk up from that. Finally Reeanah put down her guard and led with her head high, and her morale raised.

Well until they heard a roar and a huge undead dragon climbed out of the pit. "Well. That seems about right." Haman said in reference to his question. "Which way do we run? He calmly asked as the dragon got his footing. Reeanah pointed, and was the last one to bolt off. Luscious turned and aimed his pistols through over the group. As black bullets sailed over the group into the dragon it only seemed to get more enraged and chase harder. The dragon opened it's mouth, black fire escaping it's maw ahead of it like a ghost on a warpath. "Liam!" Haman called out as Liam turned and slid between him and Reeanah to the back of the group. He gave a backwards leap and pointed his tower shield at the blast. Sure it pushed him back, but not fast enough that the fire engufled the team. THe fire stopped and Liam slid backwards on the ground. The dragon was surprised to see that the small people were turned now, and ready to fight. In the corridor it had little room to move about, but so did they. So he raged forth until Liam, having dropped his shield, grabbed it by the head and pushed against it. Reeanah bolted towards the beast as it struggled against Liam's might, and leaped to give him aid. A well placed slash went cleanly through the dragon's neck, not severing it, but instead cutting deeply into it. The dragon roared, or tried to as Liam held his mouth clamped shut and forced downward. Haman was below the mighty beast, asaulting the core of the monster while Luscious, in car form, had started revving his engine. Karmina was behind the wheel, intoning a spell that increased the car's strength as it's tires spun.

JUMP! Haman yelled scooting from under the dragon. Liam let the beast go and leaped haphazardly as Haman sailed through the air, followed closely by Reeanah running along the wall. The beast roared and started to breath again, but an SUV rammed into his chest, scattering his bones and crushing them below tires. Karmina hopped out of the sunroof as Luscious turned back into a man, sliding to a stop as bones continued rolling along. "That, is what I'm talking about!" Liam said high fiving Haman. Reeanah was bouncing with cheery glee as the skull of the dragon came to a halt under Luscious foot and heblasted it into oblivion. "Alright, save the celebrating until we're clear of this place." Haman ordered as soon as Karmina and Luscious regrouped. Reeanah knew they were close to the chamber, so she led on without pause.

-Meanwhile-

No need to be worrying yourself over this. Soon, they will be back, and we will be on our way home. Maria huffed and puffed, angry that intet had talked her into staying behind. She just knew she heard something echo out of the door, but Intet ignored her worries, brushing them off. "So, next time you can guard the door on your own." she spat. Intet laughed and let a flood of water fall on her. She leaned back into his chest, held in his arms on the ground below his large head, comfortable with her big baby dragon. The water cooled her down enough that she stopped feeling hostile towards him and instead worried about her friends. She hated feeling helpless, especially in times like this, when she knew she should be there. Maria, change your thought process. All you do is leap around, spit water, and stab things. Two of those things they have, and there isn't much jumping space in there, I'd wager. You're better off out here with me, keeping watch. Guard Mer style." he offered. Maria was silent. Intet laughed playfully again and closed his eyes, basking in the moonlight. It was cold for him, but cold was what he was used to from the ocean.

Back below ground, Reeanah reached a chamber finally, that was so huge Maria would have been able to freely bounce all over the place, where intet could probably fly in a closed circle. At the very back of this cave, there sat an old skeleton. It had a crown and a rather large mace that was old and rusted. The team walked along the long halls, noting that this was possibly used by some cult, or old church. Rusted weapons all over the ground, and skeletal remains suggested hundreds of battles had taken place there, but no one had ever cleaned up. Or perhaps one large battle. Or maybe a cult gathering... Reeanah couldn't decide which she liked best, if any. So she went back to her silent march as the others kept up small talk that went along with her thoughts. Finally they reached the end of the chamber and looked the dead skeletal king in his face. The crown was shiny, definately worth some cash somewhere. But no sign of the page. No chests, no books even. Just so many dead skeletons. Well... it should be around here somewhere. she said.

She waited until everyone was walking away to look around before reaching up and touching the crown. Immediately a roar rang out, a manly roar from an old derelict voice. She turned around as the chamber darkened and a green figure rose from the middle of the chamber between them and the exit. "WHO DISTURBS THE MIGHTY KEIRN!" the voice moaned.

It held a gastly scepter and a vile looking book in it's ethereal hands, and floated close to the group. Haman, having little fear, spoke to the specter. "Well met, Keirn. I am Haman of Aramil. We mean no disturbance. We search for a page from a very old collection of books." he spoke. The ghost spoke not at first. "It details Kaminae, sea demon of the Great Depths, and we need to collect the pages. Do you posses such a page?" "These things are of no importance to you now! Come soon, you will fight, and then... you will be NOTHING!" he called as he glowed with green energy, red bolts flinging all over the place, raising skeletons, including one just behind Reeanah. The skeleton king rose suddenly, and hefted his mace up to crush the girl. She was saved by a quick movement by Liam, taking the hit to his shield. "Fight!" Reeanah called as she leaped headlong into battle with the horde, leaving the big one to Liam and Haman as they normally did. At the middle of the hoard stood a zombie set apart from the others, the physical form of the ghost of Keirn. That was were she'd be headed. But first, she had to cleave her way through a zombie army.

Outside, Intet and Maria had begun a mock battle. She was coming at him hard, but Intet knew everything she could do and vice versa. So she was swatted away by the dragon, who was laying down, and he would miss every purposely slow attack. Maria, frustrated, breathed a stream of water into his eyes. Intet didn't even flinch and returned fire. That began asuper soaker battle, with Maria using her manipulation to knock Intet to the ground and bombard him with bubbles of water until he cried uncle.

Back under ground, Luscious had taken car form as was simply running them down with Reeanah on top, waiting for him to ger her close. Keirn was still, constantly reanimating the destroyed zombies and skeletons while Liam held the Skeleton king in a deadlock. Haman was covering him as the two match mace for blade in every swing. Liam, cavelier as he was, shouted and grunted loudly. He was having a good time. He took a hit, denting his chest plate, but the king paid for it with his arm. Liam then picked the mace up, which had been restored with necromantic energy, and swung it down over the King, now weaponless. He was crushed to the ground and Liam stopped to catch his breath. It was shortlived, as the skeletal army was creeping up on them again. On top of that, the king himself rose and grabbed a pair of blades made of his skeleton peons. Liam shouted "Have at thee then! Round two is always more exciting! and launched himself forward as the kign swung the blades down on him. Karmina, inside the truck, was firing every spell in her arsenal at the Wight in control of everything, and Reeanah leaped at him. However, zombies jumped in the way of every attack, protecting him from all sides until Luscious decided to ram him. The car was stopped by a wall of zombies, but Reeanah saw an opening and managed to get in close and slashe straight upwards. While he bled, the Wight was not dead. Foolish girl... this is only the beginning of your end! he moaned as he turned green again and an aura of pain started up. Concentrations of black magic exploded all around her, and she narrowly dodged one of them. At least now, he was focusing on himself and not fixing his pawns constantly. Reeanah got out of his aura's range and he floated forward to her. "Karmina!" she screeched. The girl had just finished intoning her spell, and a bolt of lighting struck his chest, sending him backwards into a wall. The aura was still up, though a hole was blown in his chest. Luscious became human and pulled his pistols free, aiming at his scepter. He blasted it out of the scepter's reached and his glow increased in power suddenly. Everyone felt as though they were being targeted by something, and from the ceiling blasts of energy began to fall in his last ditch effort to kill everyone. Liam narrowly avoided his intended killshot, and launched his new mave at the king, who swatted it aside. As Keirn wailed his last wail and began to fade away finally, liam called his blade to his hand and launched forth as the Skeleton king reeled from having his source of life die again. The resulting slash lopped him in half, followed by a shield bash to put both halfs back on the thrown as if they somehow never left. "That... was not... fun..." Haman said holding a bloody arm. The group took no time at all grouping around Keirn's body and grabbing his book. As they flipped through the necronomicon they were filled with hope. This book was made of many many pages of old, powerful spells! None of the bages were from this one book, so maybe one of the Kaminae pages could be in it! They decided to get out of dodge before thoroughly searching, and made their way outside inside of the SUV Luscious. Once outside everyone was surprised to see Intet and Maria soaked, and a small lake had been created.

"How'd the search go?" Maria casually asked. Karmina was already searching through it though she'd make a note not to throw a water balloon at either one of them...
