If there was one thing Mayaa had noted during her stay at Amityville, it was that there were a lot a LOT of monsters, which made her really happy! So many unique students, big and small, grumpy and shy, she loved them all! She loved meeting new faces and making new friends, and the idea that there were always more students rolling in made her really REALLY excited.
And so she found herself circling around the front gate, keeping a sharp eye on any student that might have seemed a bit lost, so that she could pounce them say hi.

Zerach played with his ear for a moment, a nervous tick that was developed since childhood, and looked around. His ghosts were quiet for once and invisible which was a rare occurrence. Purple eyes narrowed in boredom. He hadn't done much since coming to this school besides going to the library yesterday and interacted with a female dormouse. The book he had picked up afterwords had been really interesting, so interesting in fact that he spent the night reading it into completion. Shuffling his feet Zerach made his way to the front hall--a place he was most familiar with--maybe he would find himself a spot to burrow in.
Well, another spot to burrow in as he thought about his new room for the next few years. The room itself was a bit bare now, but with time... things could be added. Opening the school's front door he went outside to enjoy what the outdoors had to offer--"Oh." He paused when he saw someone standing by themselves, walking around cheerfully. Cheerful people or creatures tended to make him break out in a nervous sweat. He blamed his childhood and his family members... lots of relatives for that.

Mayaa had been about to turn and leave, considering she hadn't seen anyone for a whole 5 MINUTES, but when she did, she caught sight of boil who seemed to look at her, and she broke out inside a wide grin, half flapping, half skipping over to him.
"Hi there, are you new here?" Completely oblivious to his discomfort, she leaned in ever so close, and poked at his ears. Bunny ears!Tara de Draiocht Tag! Sorry for the wait ><

Zerach jerked on the spot surprised that someone was actually speaking to him. He stared for a long minute before nodding his head yes. Once that was accomplished he open his mouth and slowly let out his words,"Hi, yes, Hell-" He twitched when she touched his ear, a frown forming on his face at being fondled. Ear fondled! At least it wasn't his horn, he loathed that. So embarrassing. A tingling started to come from his feet to his upper body. The spirits could sense his agitation, but he mentally waved them off the best he could. That was the last thing he needed to happen. Zerach never knew how others would react to his... problem.
"C-could you please stop that." He almost let out a coo as she touched a great spot. Ohgodpleasestop. His tanned skin began to grow warm. "I'm trying to figure out what to do. I was admitted-" Why did that sound like a jail term? Ohgosh he was messing up already. Social interactions... his bane. "... recently. Um, you?"

"Oh, whoops, sorry!" Mayaa retracted her hand, putting it behind her back, and gave him a sheepish giggle. "Heehee, I guess I need to remember not everyone likes being touched. I just can't help it. Your ears are so cute!" It reminded her of Cormick and his adorable ears, but even he didn't like getting touched, oops. Her attention quickly averted to the wispy shadows around him when he waved his hand, eyes growing wide. Ooh! She remembered another who had little shadow orbs, but they didn't have cute little faces like that. So neat!
She was about to reach out and try touching one when he responded to her question, and then grinned with glee. "Oh, welcome! I'm, um... well, I guess I'm still sort of new compared to some of the older students, but I've been here for a few months now, I think!" Keeping track of time was totally not her forte.
