Care for a game with my little Gods?""Sounds lovely. Do you want to trade anything? Two sheep for wood?""Deal! I've never had sheep."Nafretiti *Steals a sheepy from the pretty dragon pony and cuddles it* I shall name this cutie Kiwi! ^__^ Bardess Ookami Catan stalks up to Lenore. "I trade my resources. I acknowledge theft, but those who steal from me shall be repaid in kind. Do you really wish to rob me at this time, thief?" Nafretiti Raven: *Steals sheep from the human, pets it and looks at the other* let me answer for her instead. Yes, yes I do. ^_^ *just loves getting herself into s**t* Bardess Ookami "Well then," Catan said, sizing up Raven. "My revenge shall not be pleasant... though I should inform you, my gripe is with her," she said looking back to Lenore. You stole from her, that makes you more my ally against a common enemy," she said, still speaking to Raven, though she was glaring at Lenore, plotting vengeance. Nafretiti Raven: The thing is I am no ally, if anything, this sheep will be a great sacrifice for my daughter who needs a sheep for her latest devil worshiping prayer and this is just perfect for such a task. And also, touch her and you will have to deal with me, she is my pet, whatever gripe you have with her you have with me and believe me you don't want to mess around with me, there is a reason my family is hated around these parts and you don't really want to see why. Bardess Ookami Catan arched her brows and tossed back her head, letting her hair tumble freely about her. "That sounds like a challenge. I never back down from a challenge. Name your game. If you are her champion, then I will take a second, two against two. I would say that it would make the contest fair, but... let's be honest dear, you have no chance no matter how many are at your side. Yet, a game is a game. Shall we set the rules?" She didn't care less what the sheep would be used for, only that she would return a theft with a similar act. She didn't care for team play as much, but if they wished to play in teams, fine, she would trash their little team. And then all accounts would be settled. After all, she was the Settler of Catan.Bad pun. OW. I hate that I thought that, let alone typed it. (The game she is designed after is Settlers of Catan, which is where the bad pun came from.) Nafretiti (Bad Bard, no bad puns, I am sure we have ponys who make enough of them without us making them. XD) "I love a goos challenge so yes, you would be righr" she said as she smirked at the other, this woman really had no idea what ahe was in for "and sure, two against two is fine" she said as she aat down ans nodded "and sure, rules...fine with me" she said, not really wanting to follow rules but whatever, once won't hurt right? But who to be her second team member...? Bardess Ookami "Alright, you and the one you are defending, and myself and the new associate I have encountered, Tzolk'in. What do you prefer? Games of chance? Worker placement? Resource management?" she asked, grinning a bit. She knew enough of Tzolk'in already to know they were well suited in that way, for few would be better with resources than the two of them. It was in their blood. Nafretiti Raven was going to cheat either way, it didn't matter to her what game they played, but she was asked so she would be polite and pick "why not resource management?" She said, wondering what Murakis was doing today, if anything, she knew he liked a bit of resource management especially if that meant the resources ended up in his care at the end of it, he always did love random items to play with when it came to his spells and what not, the things he could do with a single rose was most impressive.
"Resource management," she agreed. "Building then, or buying?" she asked. "Or worship?" she added, thinking fo Tzolk'in, who had several Gods under her control. Nafretiti "It doesn't matter to me" she said, wondering if she should go with Muraki or maybe his son, his son was beautiful, evil, cruel and 100% demonic, demonic powers and magic could be a beautiful mix but then that could wait, figuring this out could come later "hmm lets say worship" she said, remembering now that her herd member, Asato, Murakis wannabe lover, could summon the 12 Shikigami or whatever they were, she still had yet to see them in action and this could be the perfect oppertunity but the son, being 100% demon...well...she couldn't really write him off...bah! Who to choose!?

"So, shall I ask now or later at who you will be choosing?" She asked, knowing that the rules should be sorted but meh, if she was going to take this out she needed to know, at least, who her team mate would be, it is best to know these things right? "or will we just sort out the rules first?" She asked, deciding that, since she couldn't decide exactly who to choose maybe it was best they did the rules first, she didn't want to mention a name without actually being 100% certain on who to pick.

"Well, at least you have someone and nice name, unique, must admit, as for me...I can't decide, there are three in mind that would be perfect for this but one may bite my head off, litterally, the other will probably rape me before actually saying yes, if not kill me, and the third would be far too childish to actually get him to stay serious for a long period of time and yet all would be perfect. I might need to get back to you on who to pick...unless I use my daughter Lilith, she hates me and wishes me dead but she is still happy to help if it means have a bit of fun" evil fun, that is, but the other didn't need to know that.

Catan stared at her for a very long moment, then shook her head slowly. "Perhaps this was ill conceived. I find my interest in trouncing you waning. If I must admit to it, and I am loathe to do so, you seem to be more an object of... I think the word I seek is... pity."
She sighed and shook her head a small bit, letting her hair tumble around her shoulders. She poked at the wool of one of the sheep with a claw, idly. "It is little fun to play a partner game, when your partners are so... ill suited. If the game is not fun, there is little point to it."
She pulled her claw free, inspecting some flax that pulled free in a snag of her claw. "Mayhaps you and I should play another game, just us two, or I know others we could play a more cutthroat game..."
"Cutthroat?" Tzolk'in asked, sashaying her way onto the scene, tail sliding from side to side smoothly. "Whatever did I miss?" she asked in a voice not terribly unlike a purr.
"We are planning a game, but mayhaps not in teams," Catan explained, smirking. "I have been wanting to pit myself against you."
Tzolk'in sized them both up then looked to Raven. "You sure you're up for this, Earthie?"

"Yeah, I am sure and don't call me 'Earthy', I have a name, it is Raven, use it" she said as she stretched a little "and I don't need your pitty, I can handle myself rather well against them, I just am not sure who to pick" she said as she looked around to see if any of the others she was thinking of was around and saw the one guy she wanted to see and didn't want to see "Sargatanas! Come here!" She called, waiting for him to tell her to get stuffed. Sargatanas walked over and stood next to Raven "so, my dearest Raven, what is it that you would like?" "Care to play a game with us? It is a teams game and I thought you would be fun to have you play it with me. "I don't know, my father is wishing to speak to me and you know what Muraki is like if I am late." "I know but I am sure this won't take long" she said gesturing towards the other two "I want this sheep, they wish to take it back and are calling me a thief, I think it is about time I taught them that whatever I want I always get" she said smirking at them. "Sorry but I am going to have to pass, I don't wish to upset my father, however I do know someone who would be perfect and that is your daughter, I have been giving her lessons and I am sure she will now be able to help you our better then what I would be able to" he said as he looked at the other two "though, if you two ladies wouldn't mind, I wouldn't mind playing with you some day soon though probably not in the way you are thinking either" he smirked as he turned and walked off, heading toward where Muraki would be waiting for him. Raven sighed "right, so, Lilith it is" she said as her daughter randomly just popped up next to her. "Hi, mom!" She said as she nuzzled her "hear you needed a partner and I have nothing on today so I will be delighted to" she said as she smirked at the others "hope you are prepared to lose" she said as she said down. Raven eyed her daughter "you were in my parlor weren't you?" "Of course! How else can one spy on everyone in the Valley and beyond?" Raven sighed "alright, whatever, Lilith, these two are depriving your little sister of a sheep, you know she needs it for her latest sacrifice, maybe it is best we teach these two why our family is hated around these parts." Lilith grinned a little sadistically "I would be delighted to, though" she said as she looked at the other two "can we just make this quick? I have a teen I need to murder for her blood and I need to do so before she ends up going home, it is messier once I have to kidnap them and I don't really wish to make a scene this time if I don't have to."

"Cute," Tzolk'in said. She glanced over at Catan. "Do you think that was meant to impress us?"
"Actually, I think it was meant to be intimidating."
"Cute," Tzolk'in said, not seeming to find it endearing in the least. She shoved her tail through the eye sockets of a bright blue crystal skull and tossed it into the air. She caught it on her headdress and looked to them. "Let me explain something, little dears," she said haughtily. "When one sacrifices, one sacrifices to power directly, or more often to Gods. Gods... answer to me.So if you are in a rush to make a dark offering, child, feel free to make it here and now. Catan would certainly trade you one of her sheep, if you have something to offer her."
Catan shrugged. "Sure. I love to trade. I live to trade, and to harvest, and if someone steals from me, I'll send my thief after them. All part of the game."
"Life?" Tzolk'in asked.
"No, that's a different game."

"It was not meant to be intimdating at all I just have stuff to do that is more important then playing games, my games include death, torture, murder, talking to Lucifer himself, Grandfather Lucifer is always such a joy to talk to...Ooo" she said as she looked at her mother* you could get daddy to play, the devil always listens to him" she suggested to her mother. "Your father and I are not speaking right now, long story, but we will make up sooner or later, till then, I am on my own" she said with a sigh, she missed her mate but she was determined to not give in to him, she was pig headed like that. "Alright then" she said as she mumbled a spell which made every one of her sisters and brothers appear before them "and here are the other siblings you could of picked." Dante glared at his sister "since when did you know a summoning spell to call us all here?" "Since I have been getting lessons but besides that, Essence, Eternity, Kali, Dante, all better candidates then me, can'tyou have picked one of my other twelve brothers and sisters, why me?" Eternity sighed "look, we are all busy doing other things, I have to get back to my store, if you will excuse me" she said as she turned and walked away, vanishing moments later. "We all do" Kali said as she vanished, followed one by one of the other siblings. Lilith sighed "fine, since apparently I am stuck here, I will play, not that I don't mind of course but still if this is going to go longer then what I want well..." she said, hoping her summoning lessons paid off or, at least, since the other apparently can get Gods to listen to her she hoped, at least, the Devil wouldn't mind listening to her. Tsuzuki walked up moments later and smiled at Raven "I heard from my son you wanted me? Well, actually, it was more like 'dad Muraki doesn't want to go so go in his place' but still, I am here" he said sitting next to Lilith "you may go, I will take over now" he said as Lilith grinned "thank you!" She said, leaning over and kissing his cheek just before she vanished. "Well then, we have a Death God joining us, that is fine with me" she said as she looked back at the other two "so, shall we begin? I am pretty sure my friend the Death God would rather be doing something other then playing games."

"Funny," Tzolk'in said, "traditionally, I had believed that Death played chess. Is that not the case?" she asked with a hint of a purr.
Catan shrugged a bit and stretched her wings. "Alright then. The lady and I had discussed a game type, but as the original purpose has changed, we should all choose together, I think, and perhaps set a new win condition as well. Also, whoever wins, what shall they get? Another sheep?" For she found that she no longer quite cared about the stolen sheep that had started this. They were not going after the person who had stolen the sheep, so she wasn't after anyone for the theft, in fact she did sort of almost see Raven as a potential ally. Besides, so much time had passed already, she had harvested another three sheep quietly, and she had too many sheep once again, so she could forgive the theft now, she supposed.

"In my line of work" Asato started "I make sure the dead stay dead too bad the guy who loves to reanimate the dead is the guy who ended up giving my children and thus keeps me busy, either I agreed to that or I agreed to letting him cut off my head, stick his brothers head, which he has stored in a jar somewhere, onto my body and then let him kill his 'brother' with his own hooves, obviously I decided on the first option. So no, chess isn't really something I get time to play because my childrens other father loves to play with others lives and deaths, he keeps me busy" he said with a sigh, why did he have to come here and still play his games?Raven shrugged "guess another game is needed, either way, I don't really care, we have two members on each team so either or is fine with me though as for the prize? Hmm why not slave labor?" She suggested, sure there were other 'rewards' but this is Raven, since when did she ever know the more friendlier side of prize giving? "A weeks worth of being a slave to the winner? Of course, there would be rules in play so it wouldn't be too degrading and what not" she wasn't one for playing fair but in this case she decided that for once she would play nice though as for playing the actual game? Cheating was still on the cards, that hadn't changed.

"I am not built for menial labor, and I never gamble with a wager I am unwilling to pay," Tzolk'in "However, I suppose I could grant you the services of one of the Gods I control for a duration, if you wish."
"And I could lend you use of my thief for the duration, should I lose. That is, if proxies would be accepted by your personage, of course," Catan said, harvesting some wheat to chew on.
(Note, the gods and the thief are not ponies in and of themselves, but aspects of their abilities.)

"That is fine with me" Raven said as she looked at Asato "and you? Care to have a God to play with?" Asato thought for a moment and nodded "sure, why not? Give me a chance to boss another around for once instead of a few animals" he said, he loved being able to call upon the twelve Shikigami but still they don't exactly care to play slave to him, well, he supposed a few could, like Genbu, but he wasn't keen on playing slave when he was held by slaves and someone like Kouchin was more into being a court musician then anything else so she was out also...and she drove him up the wall a little with her constant singing or humming, it was just better to not go there."Good. As for me I will send you a couple of children of mine, one each, there are a couple who need to learn what hard work is,this might teach them a few things and maybe take classes as adult students and start learning their talent more then just thinking the basics will get them through life" she said, knowing her two daughters will hate her for this but they won't learn any other way that a bit of manual labor would be good for them.

Tzolk'in nodded. "It is acceptable to me. My proxy, should I loose will be the Goddess Ixchel. She is tired of burning forests an giving corn out to ungrateful followers. She could use a change of pace."
"Alright then," Catan said with a smile. "As I said, stakes are set. Now the type of game? Pick your poison."

"I say dessert eating! I could go with a slice of cake!" Raven rolled her eyes and then looked at her partner "alright, seriously, Asato, THAT is what you want to go with? A cake eating contest!? I should of called on Muraki, he would of had far better ideas..." She said as she loked to the others before Asato could object to anything that that pony could say "well, we need a contest that we can all take part in, regardless if some of us are better at it or not, it should at least be a game where one or two of us are not struggling to try and get through it, I would rather it be fair to some degree then be completely one sided." "I still say a food eating contest!"Raven groaned and whilst she shouldn't be showing her magic she did conjure up a slice of cheesecake and gently kicked it over to him "eat this and shut up whilst we adults talk" she said as she sat down to think, it was stupid to let them see her ability but then she could always pass it off as knowing basic magic or something. Asato's eyes lit up as he started drooling a little 'thank you, Raven!!" He said as he happily sat down and started to eat the cake.
