It was hard to fall asleep now, when nightmares plagued her. Mintaka stared at the city, checking her phone every now and again at the time. It would gradually go from 11pm...to1am....she knew she was in trouble when it hit 3am and she was staring at the city from her spot on the roof across the city.
She rubbed her face but at the moment, she didn't want to be plagued with dreams of destruction.
In general she wanted to talk to Zink, because he spoke of bad dreams once before...but it wasn't like she could summon the General-King on her own whim.
She rubbed her face again. "Whhhhhhhhy......Is this white court doing again?"

Sirsce found all will to sleep drained from herself upon waking. Drenched in a cold sweat, heart palpitating mercilessly, she breathed a few quick staccato breaths to purge her body of the residual horrors fostered by the dream. Everyone dead, everything gone... What brought on such a petrifying sight?
With a shaky hand, Sirsce reached toward her lamp atop her nightstand and found the turning knob with relative ease. Light flooded the room, banishing shadows of monstrosities and veritable columns of hate from her peripherals. Only a teenager's room stared back at her - replete with half-finished projects, fabrics, needles, clothes spanning the floor, desk cluttered with assignments left near-finished but overdue... She knew her room well enough. Nothing changed in the span of that nightmare that seized her moments prior. And as she opened her nightstand drawer with the small key affixed to a bracelet on her wrist, she found the gold pen that offered her a second life.
She could take to the streets now, clear her head as Leda while managing a quick sweep of her neighborhood. She needn't venture far, especially if she only needed to try for some measure of solace before feigning sleep in time for her mother to rouse her for school. It felt like a sleepless routine.
Sirsce soon gave way to Leda, who left through the window of a bedroom and into the warm night air. Summer struck heartily this season; she felt it readily with the heaviness of her outfit. Nevertheless, Leda bustled her skirts and started down the street she walked in the hour before school started, where she waited patiently many a time for the bus to arrive. She passed the stop sign and meandered down a street not yet taken. Soon sidewalks became alleys became rooftops, and before long, Leda bounded from edge to edge in an aimless path far from home. The wind felt good against her face, against skin previously too hot from nightmares and adrenaline.
And then she felt it - a pinprick just beneath the skin, the warm sensation of a senshi pooling over her senses. Her allies, her kin as a senshi herself.
Soon she found the source of the feeling, sitting not terribly far. A slight girl, with white hair and a white fuku to match. Leda hesitated only long enough to manage recognition before she started toward the girl, heels clacking against shingles as she landed near to the girl.
"Hey," she greeted with a warm smile - albeit shy. "Are you okay? You look tired." Leda imagined her visage matched the description of insomnia as well. "Um, do you mind if I sit here? I think we both could use a little company right now." Already too much weighed on her mind - and to add to it with nightmares...
She didn't want to think about it.

Mintaka wondered how many more nights she would go to sleep, dreaming of destruction and a world crumbling under her. It was hard to distinquish friends after all, she barely knew other senshi...much less civilians.
Yet even more troubling was that this was not uncommon in Destiny City, Zink had told her once already of the bad dreams, how it had affected his officers. All brought on by the moon court. It could be lies, or it could be truths. How was she to tell?
Her thoughts were broken slowly by the sense of a senshi, the warm feeling of order, warmer then the summer heat they all felt tonight. She lifted her head, her eyes to the gentle tap of feet on the roof tops shingles, boot to stone and watched a very particular senshi approach.
"Good evening." Mintaka offered, scooting for the senshi to sit if she chose too, "Well I suppose it's good morning now." She patted the new seat, then turned her gaze back to the city. "Exhausted. I don't mind the company, not from such a lovely lady as yourself. I'm Mintaka, Senshi of Origami...I thought I saw you at that...nasty negaverse affair....with the fire and steam?" Idle thoughts to distract herself. "It seems a lot of things have been active lately."

Leda felt herself flush at the mention of the compliment. She learned long ago that she never managed to suppress a blush, no matter how hard she urged herself against embarrassment. Leda mumbled a hushed "thank you" before bustling up her skirts to take a seat as offered. It felt good to sit, for once - her legs ached and she never fully realized it until now. "I guess it is morning. It's a little weird to call it that, since the sun hasn't come up at all." Nor would it for another few hours. She sighed softly.
Her account was accurate, though Leda bristled slightly at the recollections from that event. She remembered finding that general again, Buddingtonite, still well after his misdeeds... And how she attacked him with a bloodlust that frightened her utterly. She fully intended to bury the memories as best she could, to disown them as chance circumstances and pretend her life still continued as it always did. But since Mintaka brought it up... Perhaps she should own her actions after all. "Um... Yeah. I was there. I'm Leda, of Steam... But you probably guessed, huh?" She offered a nervous laugh. "It's good to meet you, Mintaka. It's nice to see a friendly face, especially after that night... And tonight." She cast her gaze down toward the street, where strangers milled about in their nighttime routines.
Leda's fingernails curled against the lip of the building, hard enough to scuff the senshi polish. "I don't know why they're moving around so much. They never used to. I mean, I remember when I was just a regular senshi... It was mostly youma. Youma and some officers. Never anything this, um... Big. I wonder if something's going to happen... That whole night was just weird." As if being a senshi wasn't.
"So what are you doing out here? Patrolling?" It sounded so normal compared to recent events. Idly Leda remembered the days where patrolling sounded like a death sentence, a test far too difficult for her level of learning. She remembered when youma petrified her, when she thought Negaverse agents could be kind souls like the senshi. And when she never knew corrupted senshi existed.

"Isn't it though?" Mintaka smiled sadly, "Time has a odd way of working, and we are on the cusp of dawn, when most would be asleep at this time." She played with the hem of her skirt.
"I'm sorry you had to fight in such a battle." Mintaka offered. While they had been fighting, she had been off convincing Aurostibite why he shouldn't fight. It shamed and pleased her. "Not really, I don't know who had the power of fire, which was dangerous but..." She shrugged, "I assumed the steam was made from a combination attack? It's actually pretty amazing that you have a power like that? magic? Steam is a good natural energy source and I'm babbling, forgive me." She laughed.
"I'm new to this, so I suppose it's not weird to me that something is going down." She rubbed her face, "But it is interesting to know that there is a flux of negaverse agents rather then youma. I wonder if youma are becoming far more inferior..."
She blinked. "Oh...Well I suppose yes, I am out here to patrol." Not really. "Actually....I can't sleep." She admitted, "I'm haunted by dreams and I'm not sure why."Aeeth Hahah omg I didn't realize both of our rps were about dreams /flies off into the sunset of what i've done.
