The dreams last night left Astarte in a daze, and she found herself further adrift in a sea of questions. The Negaverse, the Dark Mirror, space travel as mentioned in the Primer... She needed answers, and knew only one source for that information.

She knew they spent quite some time apart since that fated night, when Ash imparted her with the body of a Demon. At the time, she knew only the power latent within her new form, and had little reason to question her newfound abilities. Everything began so simply - she hunted youma, the true hauntings, throughout the city. She knew magic beyond that which required ritual. She knew her second name in that second form, and what more did she need? Astarte, senshi of Malice needed nothing more than fulfillment on the spectrum of nightmare hunting, and she pursued it for thrills far more than some misguided need to protect strangers.

And then fate led her to Remarque, to Canopus, to that bizarre battle pitting Negaverse and White Moon against themselves, often alongside hated enemies. Fate led her to the battle in the warehouse, where she witnessed even Canopus and her princess Leto pitted against each other. Now, more than ever, faction lines blurred together as nothing more than a similarity in dress and color scheme.

Removing her phone from its unique home, Astarte began a text addressed to the cat who provided her awakening into this strange world. Anyone who managed the ability to wrap others into the war had to have the answers Astarte sought. Even if Ash left her with nothing more than the instruction to determine her own views in the war, it afforded her some sense of comfort.

Normally she managed her own direction well enough, but now? Now she questioned everything.

Ash, I've got a few questions for you. Would you like to meet at my flat? It's a touch messy but I can clean it up and cook some fish.

After pressing send, Astarte felt marginally better. She found a direction now, even if it amounted to nothing more than returning home and tidying the place up to cook dinner for herself and a cat. As she bounded across rooftops, she realized that picking Ash's brain provided a dual purpose - she could utilize what information she gleaned in her book as well.

Suddenly the world didn't feel so bleak.

The reply Astarte got back came within moments of the first being sent, hinting that perhaps the cat in question spent far too much time crouched over her phone, waiting for messages like these.

Of course, darling! Whatever you need! I would be happy to come to your place, food is appreciated, but not required! <3

Just send me the address and any preliminary questions you'd like me to have ready, otherwise we'll just sit and chat when I get there.

Message replied to, the silver guardian set to with a fury, rushing about HQ as she pocketed anything she thought she could possibly want. Her precious first was calling her and she very much wanted to be ready and able to provide anything she might need. One could never say that Ash did not make up in enthusiasm and willingness what she lacked in experience and knowledge... even if it had been a rather depressingly long while since she had seen her first.

It had been at the training camp, right? She remembered Angel there the first time, though not so much after. But then, Ash herself had been rather busy. The more people she met, the more her attention stretched to cover it all, but it was fulfilling work. It gave her less time to think about the life she had left behind and more to occupy her mind. A moon pearl made it in with various computer components and random food that had been squirreled away. Some small tools, the prototype phone... all disappearing into a sub space pocket. Thus girded for business, the burmilla left HQ with a bounce in her step, an ear kept cocked for the tell tale ding of a messaged received. She had, honestly, no idea where she was going yet, but sitting still at this point was not an option.

The response text found visible relief in her features. That was easy. Better. Now she simply had to beat the cat to her own flat - something of an unspoken competition to keep the spirits high. Her fingers found the buttons with ease, typing away her answer as the thoughts came to mind.

I work best to just sit and chat. Address is 472 Stark St, #104. No need to knock, just scratch at the door. Be there in a blink!

Astarte got up as soon as she viewed the confirmation on-screen. Turning toward the east, the Demon jetted off toward her apartment, leaping across cracked shingles and old roofs on her way. Vaulting over the dead space between buildings came easier now, though she was by no means an expert at it. Her time spent as a senshi found some fruition with her decided duties - largely pursuing hauntings, with a few run-ins with those who called themselves ally to darkness. Still, she never quite grasped the fundamental differences between friend and foe.

That was, in part, why she solicited Ash's assistance.

Secondly, she needed to know of her second home - her demon's realm. She needed to know why it existed, where it might be located and how she might reach its soils (or even if it had any). She knew herself as Astarte, and only recently had it dawned on her that she took the name of a place, a destination. She needed to know Astarte, and to do so, she needed to visit Astarte. And perhaps, based on what she learned there, she might incorporate her findings into her book.

With her aims sorted out, Astarte traveled along the familiar street she knew as just outside her flat - a view she knew by her second floor balcony, often observed in mornings and evenings with tea in hand. It looked utterly strange now, in midday, absent the usual bustle she knew from her bird's eye view. Nevertheless, she crowned a trash can before leaping for the railing that caged in her stunted balcony. After lighting on its narrow surface, she hopped down somewhat clumsily and ventured inside, dropping guise as she went.

"Fish, fish... Did I even go shopping last weekend? I can't even remember." Mumbling to herself, the barefoot Angel padded across her wreck of a flat to a fridge half-barren. "Looks like not." Pouting her lower lip out slightly, she rifled through the meats drawer of her fridge - with luck. Jackpot. Won't have to be a terrible host now.

After lighting the burner, Angel busied herself with the domestics of cooking while she waited for the scratching at the door.

Sure thing, be there soon!

The silver guardian did not have the advantage of senshi speed or endurance, so the trip from HQ to apartment was not accomplished as quickly or easily as her charge had done it. There was a lot of ground to cover, people and dogs to avoid, directions she had to look up to make sure she was going the right way... it all added up and gave Astarte more than enough time to beat Ash to her home, cook, clean, whatever she wanted to accomplish.

In the end, a rather tired, but still up beat cat finally arrived at the door and stared up at it with a look of mingled annoyance and excitement. Annoyance at the closed door, but excitement for what would be coming through it.

Rearing up on her back legs, Ash put her front paws to the door and began to dig at it in typical cat fashion, the silky pads making a soft bam bam bam as she rattled the door. A plaintive mrow soon followed, calling her senshi to come and open the door because the guardian would really like to come inside now. Slender tail curved back and forth as she pushed against the wood with her paws, stretched up as high as her body could reach.

Let me iiiiiin, darling... Ash thought, hoping she had gotten the right apartment and wasn't making a fool of herself at the wrong door.

She never quite managed the cleaning part of it.

By the time Ash clawed at the door, Angel accomplished nothing more than getting distracted amongst her array of seasonings before finally frying the fish in the pan, successfully burning herself not once but twice. The scratches came just after she slid the fish from pan to plate, still steaming with residual heat. She sucked on her burnt finger lightly before stepping over the miscellaneous rubbish dotting the floor of her apartment and heading toward the door. She hummed lightly as she walked.

Finally she drew back the bolt and chain, opening the door to present company. "Ah, there you are!" She managed in surprised and relieved tones, in hopes of discouraging eavesdroppers from thinking Ash as anything more than a cat. Once ushered inside, Angel shut the door unceremoniously and crouched to meet the feline's level.

"It's been a while, eh? You've never been to my flat before, and I forgot to tell you that it's a touch messy, but make yourself at home. There's paper everywhere, if you still like that sort of thing. Oh, and the fish is ready - you probably smelled it long before you got through the door. It's lemon basil salmon, something I picked up from watching a few too many cooking shows. You'd be surprised how many chefs are haunted..." Cutting herself off from her ramble, Angel straightened up and headed toward the kitchen once more.

Once she reached the plate, she used her spatula to divide the filet into sections - portion sizes estimated for the small feline. "Anyway, I've been thinking about this whole senshi business, what with the factions and all that rot, and it got me thinking... Why is it that so often I'm fighting alongside the enemy, or the enemy is fighting amongst themselves, or even the White Moon suffers infighting? It's starting to look like our only solid grouping is by the colours we wear, not the views we take." She licked her finger in momentary pause.

"Think about it," she lifted the plate from the counter and brought it to a small, rounded table sat near the door to the balcony. Even though it sat littered with books and her laptop, she placed the plate atop an open text. "The first time I walked in on some big battle, I found the Negaverse attacking the Dark Mirror, White Moon attacking White Moon, and just about the only thing not infighting was the Dark Mirror Court. Fast forward a touch, and I'm tracking youma one night only to find it attacking one of the Dark Mirror, their supposed allies, and I stop her from getting eaten. Turns out she's quite the nice girl, decent little catch. Later still, the power goes out and while a lot of White Moon amass to figure it out, there's still a few Dark Mirrors in there. Toward the end I don't have any bloody clue what happened, but it seems to me there was a touch of unrest among 'allies' again. Got any ideas, Ash? Cuz I'm s**t out of 'em."

The smell was heavenly... drawing the guardian into the apartment like phantom hands and a teasing gesture. Bouncing past her first, she surveyed the apartment with wide green eyes and held her judgement. It wasn't like she hadn't been in worse places, particularly when she was running from youma... and this was her senshi's home, that went a long way towards making it bearable. She could ignore the mess, it was ultimately unimportant, especially with the smell of food all but assaulting her nose.

"I don't mind the mess and you can keep your paper." Ash said as she let her nose draw her towards the counter in cat-sized bounds. She gathered herself below it, backside wiggling, before she made the graceful leap to the surface and eyed the offering there. Mmm, food... this one is definitely a keeper.

The cat watched as Angel segmented the fish into pieces, settling down to crouch on the counter top with her legs folded under her and her tail gently sweeping back and forth. Lazy, but attentive, the appendage said. Anticipating, but patient. It wasn't long before the words began to pour forth and Ash did her best to attend despite the distraction, suddenly glad these questions were coming up now and not back when she had first awoken her senshi, as she felt far more informed now than she had been then. Being unable to provide answers seemed a sin to a cat who considered information her stock and trade.

The move to the cluttered table left Ash yearning on the counter and she was quick to follow, her paws placed so daintily as she jumped to the table and wove her way between the stacks of books. Her grace kept her from disturbing anything, but it wasn't long before she found the broad surface of a book to crouch on top of.

"To understand the mess of alliances, I think you must understand the history of it all." Ash said as she eyed the fish greedily. "Granted, I am a very young cat and don't have personal experience with what happened before, but I have met a few now who have and I've gathered something of what happened. It seemed that once, centuries ago, all senshi were part of a greater system than we have now, and they were ruled by princes and princesses. In particular, there was a senshi princess of the moon who ruled over most of this system. She fought the Negaverse when it rose and eventually defeated it and there was peace for a long time. Something happened, though, that destroyed that peace and killed most of the senshi of the universe... their starseeds returned to the Cauldron, where all starseeds go, and eventually were thrown out again in rebirth."

Leaning in, Ash picked delicately at the fish despite a wish to gobble it down. She needed to be able to speak and she eyed her senshi. "That applies to you, by the way. You lived another life once, on Astarte as its guardian senshi, but you died and were reborn as Angel, here on Earth. Whatever happened between then an now, all the careful systems of order there once were are gone... as you have probably seen, we have no central government or even central leaders, only senshi who have risen to the rank of princess by their own power. They lack unifying allegiance with the rest of the senshi of Earth... and as you can imagine, with no one to lead us or enforce structure, each senshi is left to do as they please, for each individual's own reasons. Those reasons and drives are bound to come into conflict, and that's why we have some of the in-fighting you've seen."

Ash swallowed a mouthful of fish and shrugged, hoping that all made sense. Angel had proven before that she was a little... strange. She was probably unlikely to take everything the cat said at face value and accept it as truth, but she could hope that the young woman would at least be on the right track.

"Now, the forces of chaos are far more organized than we are. They have an almost military set up, as far as I can tell. Despite that, though, you are right... their own ranks seem to find ways to be at odds with each other and I suspect that is simply the human condition. Until rather recently, as I gather it, the Dark Mirror Court were firm allies with the Negaverse, but lately their relationship has grown strained. Its not really surprising that squabbles should start breaking out... They are, in the end, competing for the same resources, aren't they? The energy and life forces of the people in this city... and that is the defining factor between Us and Them." Ash left off eating for a moment to lend a more serious note to what she was going to say, though perhaps the way she licked the grease from her mouth sort of ruined the effect.

"The color of our clothes is NOT what separates us, Angel, and I should hope you never delude yourself into thinking its something as insignificant as uniform or point of view." Granted, this was not knowledge Ash had gained through her experiences or research. It was simply a universal truth that she felt down to her very bones, instinctual and undeniable. She would admit as much, but that didn't shake her certainty that it was true. "The fundamental difference between us is that the Negaverse and the DMC are creatures powered by dark, Chaotic energy. It is anathema to everything we are... Our power is drawn from our stars, asteroids, planets, comets... It is pure energy, life-giving. It is the dark energy that twists them into the monsters they are under their masks, perverted versions of the guardians and protectors they should be. It forces them to steal energy, even lives, from the people here and the pain they cause is symptomatic of that."

The mood had gotten rather serious and dark, hadn't it? Ash yawned widely, breaking her own spell, and licked a paw to wash her face.

"Its probably cliché, but in summary they are 'Evil' and we are 'Good', though it's a bit more complicated than that when you take in the whole, maybe. They do bad things because of the chaotic energy subjugating them, and we fight to turn back their darkness and protect the lives of those who can't fight them. The lines get blurry sometimes, but never fully disappear."

Maybe that had been a little bit much to unload on her senshi all at once...

Angel pulled a simple wooden chair out from beneath the table, and brushed away the pen that rolled lazily across its upholstering. She seated herself, with her elbows propped on the table and her pinky resting against the corner of her lip while she watched the cat alternate between eating and storytelling. In many ways, Ash felt like an audio book - both due to the audacity of a cat speaking, as well as the novel-esque subject matter. She listened intently, waiting until Ash finished the bulk of her story before Angel considered eating.

And then she realized she forgot to grab a fork. Curse you, spirits.

Angel folder her arms atop the table and leaned forward slightly while she spoke. "So to paraphrase... Once upon a time ago, the lot of us senshi were part of a system, likely a government, ruled by varying royalty who were likely akin to regional lords. A moon princess resided over most of it, and defeated the Negaverse way back in the day. Then, as the Americans say, s**t hit the fan and everyone died - forcing every senshi to be reborn via a... cauldron?" She cocked an eyebrow at the sentiment. It certainly supported her witchcraft theory. "Anyway, now all the senshi are back from the grave." It sounded like an interesting theory, one worth investigating in her studies.

And what Ash mentioned pertaining to her specifically piqued her interest. She desperately wanted to question Ash for more information on Astarte, both as a planet and as a past senshi, but she knew it would have to wait. Perhaps once they got through the bulk of the subject at hand, she might further indulge her curiosities. "You know, Ash, I studied a lot of history growing up. Was one of my favorite subjects. And one of the curiosities I noticed during my studies was the peculiar ability for a group of individuals to be significantly more powerful once united. If we, as senshi, could join forces under the singular goal of beating back the darkness, then we'd be a damned lot more to reckon with. I'm certain others around have the same idea... And since power attracts a lot of people, I wonder why these princesses aren't utilizing their power for that cause."

Afterward she stood and paced int the kitchen to grab a fork. Hunger ate at her stomach now, and it did her no good to concentrate on the subject matter when her gut spoke of distraction. "I've long thought that spirits interfere in our world in a variety of ways. One spirit might cause forgetfulness, another causes bouts of stress. Demons preside over these spirits, much like how we as senshi preside over certain spheres. That pits us rather close to hell, so to speak. Anyway, what if our inability to band together is an affliction, of sorts? Or perhaps an affliction of fighting Chaos? With that much dark energy being thrown around, some's bound to rub off on us, right?" She returned to the table with fork in hand and every intention of eating.

After taking a bite of fish, she continued. "It might just be the state of magics dicking with us, or as you said, the human condition. We as humans aren't meant to sustain magic to any appreciable amount. Most magic you read about stems from different sources, just like our ties to our planets as senshi - some magics stem from the demons of hell like in the Lesser Solomon's Key, while other magics come from natural sources like the earth. Either way, humans themselves are not magical beings by nature. We borrow those abilities either through contracts with demons or sources inherent in the earth, and that mucks everything up a bit. It could be our very demands for magic that further exacerbates our inability to band together. And the same would apply to the Negaverse and Dark Mirror - as they utilize their magics, they disrupt the natural order of things, thus leading to infighting and all that rot. It could just be the universe telling us to stop meddling in magical energies that we've no right to."

Angel sighed. "In any case, we've got a fat mess on our hands. I'm not sure it's possible to circumvent the universal disruptions that come from using magic... Even as plain old humans, witches found plenty of persecution for their practices, which might've simply been a symptom of participating in the dark arts more than any actual dislike toward witches. I might have to look into that a bit.

"Sounds like Astarte's got another mission on her hands. Another few, maybe. Speaking of, you mentioned earlier that I lived on Astarte as its guardian senshi. Can you tell me more about that?"

Angel summed up most of the 'story' in a way that more or less pleased Ash. It was pretty vague, since the cat herself did not have all the facts of it. It was on her list of 'things to find out', but there were so few people who were around back then.

"That sounds about right." Ash said as she groomed her paws, cleaning around the pads. "I also agree with you... if the senshi were united, rather the fractured mess we are now, we would suffer significantly fewer losses than we are now. I honestly don't know why our royalty have not tried to bring us together, and I have never met one of them to ask. ********* might know..." She murmured thoughtfully, her tail rustling pages as it flicked back and forth. ********* was the oldest mauvian (that she knew) and it stood to reason that she would know the most. She was a veritable fount of knowledge, if Ash could just peg her down for some real answers... but like all cats, she came and went as she pleased.

Ash's head titled as Angel spoke of spirits and demons, her brow furrowing. Here was the talk that had confused her the first time she had awoken Astarte, a quirk of her senshi that she found it hard to wrap her head around. She had told her what they were, how things worked... but she still insisted on molding things into the parameters she understood and accepted.

"I think you may have that slightly askew, dear..." She said as Angel spoke about magic not coming naturally for humans. "Certainly, the dark energy the Negaverse commands is a perversion, twisting the fabric of reality... but our magic is granted to us by the cosmos... we have every right to use it to defend it...." It was a hard concept for her, who spent most of her time submerged in more scientific and technologic pursuits. Senshi magic was instinctual to her, so it was hard to understand the why and how of things, rather than simply accepting how it was. Mentally the grey cat shrugged. They needed more information, thus research was in order. It was the only way to form a proper theory.

"I think we both have the same mission." She said briskly, straightening up. "As for your planet, well... every senshi's former home is different, I believe. I have not actually been to any of them yet, but there is a function on your phone to take you there. You just push the button, focus on the source of your power and WHOOSH, away you go. Of course, you can't really do it under stress, since it takes a fair bit of focus... and your ability to go there at all will be limited while you're still so new... but you can stay on your planet for as long as you like once you're there, and I'm sure there are many interesting things you can discover about your past self. I've heard that memories surface, things from your past life. But, ah... again, I have never been to a senshi planet and see this for myself, so my information is all second hand."

"It's obviously possible, if the senshi were united some years ago when this war first broke out. Don't know why we're skulking about alone when we could have each other's backs. But of a downside, if you ask me. I don't much care for flitting abound alone if I can help it." Perhaps one of us should approach the royals and propose that idea. Can't say for certain that they hadn't thought of it already. Who knows - maybe there's some strange curse on the lot of us that prevents us from aligning under one flag, so to speak. Hoho, Angel, you might be onto something.

Angel considered contesting her point based on the majority of the human populace wielding no magic at all, but decided against it. Now wasn't the time to interrogate her access to a good portion of knowledge. instead she picked at her fish thoughtfully, using her fork to whittle out the bones before she took a bite. All the while she listened to Ash's explanation on how the cosmos lent its power. Overall she felt underwhelmed by the end of it.

Angel froze at the mention of a means to access the planet in question. "Are you serious?" She nearly dropped her fork. "You're telling me there's an app for visiting an entirely different planet? Can I access other planets that way? It'd be a mighty nice tool if that were the case... 'Astarte, Traveler of the Galaxy' has a nice ring to it. Besides, imagine what I can learn by digging around on other planets... Though, it does take away from the whole 'war' bit. I suppose the first step is to visit my own planet, right?" With a quirked brow, she rapped the butt of her fork firmly on the table. "I bet a quick visit clears up several questions, too.

"What do you say you and I take a quick trip down to Astarte sometime, Ash? I should probably go alone the first time to prepare myself a touch, and determine if the atmosphere is hospitable for cats... I heard tell plenty of times about how space just sucks your guts out the moment you cross from our atmosphere. Might be a touch messy." Which meant she was at risk, but with the explanation that other senshi managed the trip without imploding... That lent a fair amount of comfort.

"And thank you for the information, by the way. It gives me something to root around for - especially with the whole background on a past war. I could root around in some of my books to see if I can find references, or pal around with some of the older senshi that might have a few answers."

The cat blinked in surprise, her tongue hanging half out of her mouth as she gave her charge a confused look.

"Ah, no, the phone doesn't... take you anywhere but your planet. I mean, if you have a moon pearl attached, then it can take you to the Moon Sanctuary when the moon is full. If you want to visit other planets, you'll have to talk to their guardians and get them to take you." She said as she finished cleaning her paw and dropped it to the table. A pleased yawn stretched her mouth wide and she licked her chops as the silver cat settled herself. "But yes, I think visiting Astarte is a very good first step."

The invitation brightened Ash's face immediately and her green eyes widened, filled with excitement. Her paws gently kneaded the table, her tail starting to flick back and forth.

"Of course, I would love to go!" She chirped, trying to contain her excitement. "Thraen offered to take me to the moon sometime, but I have yet to visit a senshi's planet, or a knight's wonder, for that matter. I dare say I'm as excited as you are to see your planet... who knows, maybe even more so." The cat grinned as a chuckle rolled from her.

"I don't have a planet to visit of my own, Mau is inaccessible, so its a rare treat for me to be taken along. And a very kind offer to take me, Number One." Rising, Ash padded over the table and made the short leap up to Angel's shoulders, rubbing her face against the young woman's with a deep, rumbling purr.

"Really? What a bore. I don't need 'permission' to visit other places on Earth - I can break in wherever I want. Granted, the fuzz doesn't quite take a shine to those antics, but it beats sitting out in the cold and waiting for someone to unlock the door for you, so to speak. Really, they should do something about that. After all, what if I want to visit, say, Megrez's planet? Or even..." She paused. Can I visit Canopus' planet? Even if she lies on the other side? "Say, can the Dark Mirror senshi visit their own planets too?" She rather hoped they could.

The cat's excitement came as a relief, and Angel offered a laugh of her own, tucking stray hairs behind her ear as she did so. "Well, why don't we make a date of it then? I suppose I should head up first, make sure the place doesn't just suck the eyes out of your skull for just showing up. Wouldn't want that happening to you, kiddo. Afterward, though... Might be quite fun to go romping about in some old rubbles looking for clues like Sherlock kids. I'm certain we'll find something of interest, anyway. No idea what it might be, though... Never been to another planet before, but that rather goes without saying. Mostly." Rambling again. I've got to knock it off.

The sudden rub found warm reception and Angel reached to scratch the Mauvian on the top of her head gently. "Well! Sounds like we've got yet another reason to meet up soon. I look forward to it. Oh, and thank you for sharing a bit of your information - it's well and nice to hear some background to this little war. Could you do me a favor and see what you can dig up about the beginning of it? I'm curious about the details and how it might pertain to us now. History repeats itself, you know, because the spirits of the dead rather like to reenact their lives with the bodies of the living. Macabre little stunt.

"Anyway, there's still the matter of the leftover fish. Do you want me to wrap that up for you so you can take it home, wherever that might be? Oh, I hadn't even asked... Do you have a place to stay, Ash? An owner, perhaps? Is she cute?" Angel... She cleared her throat abruptly. "Well - in case you're balls out of a place to stay, you can always crash here for a few. If you can navigate your way around my mess, that is."

Ash laughed softly as she butted her head against Angel's, enjoying the scratching. The girl was learning the proper way to pet a cat and that was all to the good.

"Its not permission you need, darling, but their connection to their planet. The reason your phone takes you to yours is because you have a direct connection to it, through with your magic comes to you from it. You don't have any connection to other planets, so your phone can't take you there." Her tail flicked back and forth, losing a little of her amusement at the mention of the DMC. She wrinkled her nose a little, rolling her shoulders in a shrug.

"I don't know all that much about the chaos factions, but... I don't think so. First off, they don't have phones like we do, which hints that they don't have a proper device to take them. There is also that whole... being from a different dimension thing that the dark mirror has going on. I imagine their planets are there, through the mirror... but I don't really know. I will, though, keep an eye out for that information, and for more about your history. I may drop in on Kallichore sometime and see what she knows... or maybe *********. They've both been around a long time, I think."

Suddenly perking up, the cat jumped back to the table, her tail flicking eagerly. "That reminds me! I think you should meet Thraen! I've met him a few times now and he seems to know what he's doing as a senshi. He's an eternal, the highest stage a senshi can reach normally, and he's been helping me with updating the primer. As much as I want to be your mentor in all things, he will simply know more about actually being a senshi. It would be good for you to talk with him, I think."

The dead took over living people to play out old events? The strange comment took Ash back a bit and she blinked curiously, giving her first a look of mingled love and exasperation. Sometimes this side of her was endearing and other times, confusing in the extreme. Quirky girl.

"I had an owner once." Ash said as she shook away those thoughts, a small, slightly sad smile on her face. "But that was before I awakened. When I realized what I was, the duty I had to my senshi, I left... He was a very nice man, taught me everything I know about programing. I sort of... float around right now, but I spend most of my time at Head Quarters, under Destiny Tower. Occasionally I'll stay with other people, but never for long. And thank you for that kind offer." The cat came to rub against the girl again, tail brushing her arm. "I'll have to take you up on it sometime I think."

So I can only visit locations with my phone if I draw power from them. Interesting... I wonder if there's any way to harvest power from other planets, then, and travel the stars. It might be a touch lofty in terms of goals, but at least I know I can visit them alongside their ... Owners? Avatars? The senshi that are a part of the planet, anyway. She resumed her scratching while she considered the logistics behind it. Ash certainly didn't seem to mind, which provided the impetus to keep up with it.

Two names dropped from Ash's mouth that might provide further insight into the matter - and one of them Angel recognized from the primer. Additionally, Ash added yet another name to her growing repertoire as a potential mentor figure. "Thraen?" She ventured. The name sounded unfamiliar. His aiding the primer qualified him for some skepticism, as he fueled a potential propaganda machine, but she offered a thankful smile regardless. "Alright, I'll ask about and see if anyone knows this Thraen. Oh, and what does he look like? I might just run across him by chance as it is." However, she wondered about the credibility of his information about being a senshi... If he simply bought into the face value of it all, or if he afforded some critical thinking in their roles as magic-wielding creatures of legend.

Angel curled her fingers around the end of Ash's tail, where it often flopped back and forth in imitation of a cane shape. "Really now? Programming?" Who dreamed that a cat could learn programming from anyone? Certainly not she. She did, however, offer a hearty laugh. "That's quite the skill you've got there! And here I thought cats couldn't type without opposable thumbs... Well now, next time my phone's on the fritz, I know who to blame!"

Angel abandoned the pettings momentarily to address the leftover fish on the table - she usurped the plate from its place on the pile of books and whisked it away to the kitchen, where she carefully wrapped the remaining portions into tinfoil. Once finished, she headed back to the table where she last left Ash and offered one of the segments. "Take this back to your headquarters, then. Wouldn't want you to starve yourself out while you're there. And fish doesn't keep too terribly well - best to had some over to keep it all from just rotting away."

The silver cat humphed a little as her tail twitched back and forth in Angel's hand, angling a look at her charge with pointed ears angled backwards.

"Some humans type just fine with forefingers!" She said as a smile curved on her face. "It might take me a bit longer if I'm using a keyboard meant for people with more fingers, but I managed admirably well, I like to think. And I would never cause you phone problems... if anything, you should bring your phone to me and I have it up and running properly in no time."

The cat turned to headbutt the young woman as she flicked her tail out of her grip. She eyed the fish when it was brought back, pondering the best way to go about carrying it home.

"You don't actually need to ask about for Thraen, darling." She said as she went to sniff at the wrapped fish. "I have his contact information and I've actually already proposed a joint patrol with him. All that's left is finding out when you'd be available for that. He'll bring along the guardian he lives with... his name is Faust, I believe. Odd name, but to each their own."

This fish was definitely a wonderful thing... it was hard to feed herself consistently, this would be a good meal or two. Two meals she wouldn't have to hunt down and possibly fight over... which spoke for the benefit of living with a senshi. No doubt Faust never had to hunt unless he wanted to, as Ash was positive Thraen would never let him go hungry. Finding a stable home was looking more and more appealing every day, but choosing the right one, that was the challenge.

"Oh, i wouldn't worry too much about it. Strange to see a cat who can type, is all." After grasping the end of Ash's tail lightly, she folded her fingers as a hammock for her chin and watched the Silver Lady mill about. "I'll take your word for it though; electronics and I don't get along terribly well. A sodding shame, that."

Angel found it quite surprising that the cat went ahead and arranged a meeting between herself and Thraen without prior notice of it. Her eyebrow quirked mildly and thin strands of rage strained her throat, yet she managed to conceal the gist of it. "Thursday," she replied in clipped tones. "I have Thursdays off. I can meet him... Say, in the eve. And next time, ask me before you arrange some kind of hook-up with some bloke I've never met before." She rapped her nails on the table to end further discussion of it.

"In any case, I've got my priorities in order for now. Visit the ole' planet, do your little picnic with Thraen, start poking about for some answers about the history of the war... I've got more than a few places to start, I'd say." Angel started to leave her seat before she paused midway. "Oh, and did you want that fish in a sack? might be a touch easier than carrying tinfoil in your mouth, I'd say."
