PLAYERS: Sailor Iris + ********* ~ LizzyMoo Sailor Psyche + Thetis ~ Appeal Sailor Metis ~ Kaefaux Sailor Irene ~ DivineSaturn Clearly tonight had been hectic! The Negaverse had definitely been keeping up with their diabolical planning, and though the ordeal had been put down, Iris' mind was still reeling. After exiting what was left of the burning warehouse, she gestured for the rest of the team to follow her. Rather promptly she bounded up to the top of a nearby building, then proceeded to dash away from the scene, as if to distance herself from the fire now blazing brightly behind them. Once the flames had turned into something that resembled a firefly's glow, Iris stopped, signaling with an extended arm that they were settling in for a bit. The Mauvian senshi kept to the back, making certain the Irene was okay after that ordeal with all of the smoke. She held hands with the Senshi of Peace, smiling like a good friend who was merely enjoying the time she was spending with the girl.
However, once Iris had signaled for them to stop, Sailor H made sure her companion had come to a stop before bowing towards the group.
"It's been a pleasure!" she said cheerily before shrinking back down to her usual form. Now the typical chubby cat she usually ran around as, she trotted over to Iris' ankle.
"...so, do tell... why have we taken this detour, Iris?"The blonde snorted out "We need t'talk, that's why!" However, after a brief pause, she took a less harsh tone to explain further. "...A lot happened just now... but I don't even know what th'f*ck the Negaverse just did... so I am hopin' you guys can fill me in..." She ruffled her hair, clearly frustrated by the whole ordeal. "...ah, so we are going to be here a while... well then..." With that, she trotted over to Metis' boots.
"...do you mind if I borrow Thetis for a bit?"

The escape was necessary for more than a few reasons as Metis followed Iris. Her head turned this way and that as she ran, keeping track of the energies around her. A hand always settled on the guardian atop her shoulder. More than grateful that the Eternal Senshi and the guardian were safely reunited with their starseeds, every now and then she rubbed the hand that had held one against her skirts. Trying to remove the sensation of the warmth that made her skin crawl.
She wasn't sure what was worse though. Dwelling on that, or seeing the two energies meld together as they had.
As the group came to a stop, she was surprised to see *********> return to her feline form. Before she could begin to inquire, the purpose behind the impromptu gathering was given. Sort of. She shifted foot to foot, lips twisting a little in an grimace. "I'm not sure you want to know," she mumbled towards Iris before looking down as *********> approached. Nearly automatic, she crouched down to be on closer level with the guardian, blinking a tad at the request.
And realizing she still hadn't moved her hand from Thetis. "Oh, sorry about that," she started, releasing the guardian with a small smile. To *********>, she nodded, "Of course. Need a hand?" That to Thetis. He wasn't that high from the ground, especially with her knees pulled somewhat more towards her torso as she crouched. But it was still polite, and she wasn't quite sure how he was doing himself. "Have you rested enough? That was quite a shot you took at the youma."

Under his dark black fur, a small blush was appearing across his face as ********* asked to borrow him. He was unsure of her intentions and his embarrassment was concerning. He didn't understand but he did enjoy being needed. Thetis had rested the entire time since he'd fired his forehead laser beam at the youma, and by now he had enough energy to safely make it to the ground at the height Metis was at. He rubbed affectionately against her leg, purring softly as he stumbled around his legs as if he was a little intoxicated.
"Thank you, Metis. I am well, but I thank you for your concern. I truly appreciate it," he said politely as he turned toward and moved to ********* side.
"What is it?"
Away from ground level, Psyche stood near Iris. Happily, she moved to wrap her arm around her best friend.
"'sup?"

It took all of Irene's energy and focus to follow the group. In truth, if Sailor H hadn't been leading her, she probably would have tripped over her own feet, or gotten lost, or something. Getting out of the burning building had helped significantly. Running helped less. By the time they came to a stop, her coughing had mostly subsided, but there was a stitch in her side that ached whenever she tried to take a deep breath. It was like the fresh air was taunting her.
Irene had hated her list of medical problems for years, but she'd thought she had overcome them. Her allergies could be handled with medication and avoiding certain substances. Regular exercise had helped with her asthma, allowing her to keep going longer than before. But the smoke in the building had hit both of her main issues, reducing her to a coughing, wheezing wreck. She hadn't been able to do anything other than lurch around, and she was filled with uncharacteristic self-loathing. Usually, stumbling blocks were just chances for her to work harder and get better at something. But how could she, when her body wouldn't do what she needed it to?
She swayed on her feet when ********* shifted back to her usual form, but managed to remain standing. "Thank you," she whispered, not quite ready to test her voice just yet. "Would anyone be willing to tell me what, exactly, just happened?"
There were things she'd seen and things she'd missed, and things she thought might have been hallucinations caused by smoke inhalation. It would be nice to know which was what.

Once the other small cat was at her level, the cat nodded her head, causing a minor jingle to escape her collar.
"...I think it might be a good idea to make our senshi a little less noticeable..."
With a wink, she padded in front of Irene's high heels, and closed her eyes, the star upon her head seeming to twinkle briefly.
Even with a Psyche somewhat draped upon her, the eternal senshi couldn't help but jerk slightly to face Metis and her stray mumble.
"...do ya have somethin' t'say, Metis? ...cuz we jus' saved some eternal senshi from dyin'... but I am sure the whole point of that 'exercise' wasn't all about stealin' senshi starseeds..." Unlike some senshi and knights present in that blaze, Iris was not able to idle about and gawk at everything going on around them.
Came with the nature of wielding a crystal's magic, but didn't make it any less irritating.
"...spit it out!"

"Maybe that was the point for some? Certainly seemed like enough groups were breaking into their own agendas once things became a royal mess in the basement." Metis' tone was clipped, hackles raised. Not against Iris' tone. She was used to that. It was her own stupidity for even mentioning anything. But the words were bound to come out at some point.
Her head turned slightly towards Irene, shoulders falling a tad as even the purple senshi asked what had taken place. Grand scheme, or the more horrifying specific scenes that made Metis shutter? She stepped closer to the other girl, back up support in case it was needed. She'd heard the coughing, but beyond making sure Irene was still standing, she wasn't sure what else she could do. "One aura... went into another." Her lips pressed together tight, not used to trying to explain how her... "vision" worked. Her head turned towards Iris and she tried again. "A figure. A living being. One of them fell--I don't know how, but it looked like two others might have attacked them. But then a fourth figure moved into the second. And then... the second figure stood, and the fourth was gone." She had no more specifics to report in that moment, and she made a face. "I've never seen something like that before." Carefully, she looked to Thetis. "You'd said he wouldn't be human any more. Do you mean... that fourth figure was a youma then?"
She'd felt youma there. But it was the Negaverse. She expected one around the other. She could only assume, theorize, guess. But if given the option between seeing a human slip into another's body or a youma... She wasn't sure which was worse, but she'd prefer to go with the latter for now. One more reason to loath them and dust them every chance she got.
"Thetis, you were able to see far more than I could. Would you mind elaborating on things?"

Psyche seemed content chilling out with Rainbowface but Thetis seemed a little nervous down there with *********. She had asked to borrow him but what did that entail? His imagination only had to run so far before ********* made her intentions clear. Was he disappointed? Well, maybe, no, of course not! He didn't like ********* like that! They were just partners! And she was his rival for Psyche!
He did like it a lot when she said "our senshi" bringing a soft purr from the bottom of the guardian cat's throat. He nodded his head to her, moving a little closer to ********* and then closing his eyes. He concentrated on *********, and the girls around them, and soon his forehead star twinkled. It wasn't too bad! He would do whatever he could to protect these girls.
Concentration split when Metis called to him, reminding him of the loss that Negaverse General had taken by accepting a youma into him. Hybrids. He'd lose much of his humanity that way, giving into many of the needs of a youma. Thetis wasn't sure exactly, and these were all theories, but how much youma and how much human was there? He wouldn't simply get all the good things of each part, and how much bad would come with it?
"That man... I... heard a little about what they were fighting about. It didn't seem to be simply a trap to kill us... that man... he wanted to make another Rift on Earth. That woman... she was so angry..." he paused, wondering what exactly a Rift was.
"... He was a General. He was losing a fight against one of his own and a senshi. He was dying, I suspect. He powered down. He looked like a normal man. I don't understand... but... whoever he was I am unsure whether he exists now. Not in full. Not after the youma merged with him. I do know that he felt weird. Very weird. Like a youma hiding in human's skin. Unnatural. Utterly... absolutely... revolting..."
Just recalling it, brought a chill over the guardian cat's skin, causing his fur to lift up. The man shouldn't have lived. Whatever part of him he wanted to save, whatever part of him there was gone now. Was there anything to save within that body, or was it just a corpse for the youma to ride around in? Thetis felt sick but he held on. The last thing he wanted to do was throw up on *********, or give away their girls when so many power signatures still flocked around.

Since ********* was sticking close, Irene crouched down to pet her. It was nice, having something to focus on that wasn't her sore throat, or the stitch in her side, or the way it felt like her lungs were burning whenever she tried taking too deep a breath. Of course, being so close to the cats probably wasn't the best idea when she was still on the brink of a full-blown asthma attack, but the way she saw it, she'd been assaulted by so many triggers that evening that one more wouldn't hurt.
Metis' words washed over her without really sinking in. Lots of figures going places, blending together, disappearing. Irene sighed and began to scratch ********* behind the ears. This was all kind of tedious, but she supposed if Iris was making them hash it out, there was probably a point.
Then Thetis began to talk, and since Irene was close to him, she heard his words more clearly. The picture they painted was frightening. Terrifying. How could something like that have happened? How could she have missed it?
Ah, right. Too busy trying not to suffocate.
"Is there a way to fix it?" That question was directed at Iris, who would probably know what she meant. "To fix him? I mean, he must want it, after all of this. Nobody could go through all of that and still be loyal to the ones who would have killed them! Who practically did kill them!"
Her voice was a little too strained to handle shouting, and the attempt made her start to cough again, cutting off anything else she might have wanted to say.

It was very hard to do her job when her other half seemed to actually have things to contribute to the conversation. However, the things that Thetis had to say were important. Things that Sailor H had missed, so clearly ********* had also missed. Perhaps she had things to contribute too, but she did not seem to be mentioning them. All the chubby spotted cat did was concentrate and allow the petting behind the ears to soothe her nerves.
Even though Metis may have been blind, Iris looked her in the eyes as she explained what she had observed with her own odd gift. This sort of description was odd, but at least it didn't do anything to bother the Captain's nerves. In this manner, it was strictly informational.
When Metis' attention shifted to the rex-furred Mauvian, so did Iris', eyes upon the darker of the two cats. It was Thetis' description that seemed to make the situation a bit more graphic.
Her leg buckled slightly, causing her to sway slightly into Psyche, but at least she managed to stay upon her feet. The pit of her stomach felt like a knot of rubberbands were forced in there.
"...so... h-he's like Tanzanite now...?" The Senshi of Rainbows only had a few scraps against Tanzanite, but she had changed drastically from the beginning to the end. That woman had been ruthless in the beginning, but only got worse with the youma influence.
"...how does that even work...?" It was a question she had never thought about before this moment. Thetis mentioned that this new General was dying. Perhaps that had something to do...
"Is there a way to fix it?"
Irene's question finally seemed to process with the Captain, causing a pair of golden eyes to blink, then turn towards the girl. There was uncertainty in Iris' eyes, something that didn't usually linger in her gaze so openly.
"...I don't know... I... I've only encountered one other like that... and I never had the chance to try anything because I wasn't strong enough then..."
