The Next Chapter

A few years have passed in the Yokai Lands, six years to be exact before anything major has happened to our heros and villans:

Theador was still the same, however now like his sister at the age of 13 his hair was much shagier like his fathers, almost worse. He was in a new stage where he was challenging all sorts of things. From animals he found in the woods, to even other people at school. He wasn't exacly the one picking the fights or bullying others though, it was more or less him speaking out a lot and it coming back to him for being a smart a**. So he got in a lot of fights where he lost. But he never, ever, got his sister involved in those things. Even when something was bothing him, he wouldn't let her in when it came to his getting bullyed. And he still to this day, stood for his sister, even though she wouldn't know just how much.

However something was going on in the mists of hell. As yuji sat up quickly with a short breath to find the bed him and Hikari were sleeping on fully on fire, luckily Hikari and Yuji couldn't burn, but it wasn't a pretty sight to say the least still. He actually though hikari looked scary with her hair on fire. None the less, he made the fire die down and shook Hikari awake, "Hikari... I need to ask you something." He spun and put his legs to the side of the bed, "How far would you be willing to go for Ameile... somthings been on my mind... and it's bothing me so badly I... I can hardly sleep now." He looked to her with seriousness in his eyes, and alittle fear it seemed on his face for bringing up the subject about, 'they know who'

Yuji shied, "The bastered I met... the one that claims to have used her as a test subject to give her... well you know... that lust she has." He looked to Hikari, "I don't think ameile is going to be in the shimigami realm forever. It's not possible if you think about it, not her. Even more so... I love you, but I feel... well I feel gulty for what I've done twords her." He looked away with alittle more sorrow then embaricment, "I feel I betrayed her, because I know the origanl her you told me about is in her. I felt it in the past, but more and more on I couldn't take whatever it is that lusts within her and..." Yuji looked to Hikari, "I wanna fix it. I wanna fix Ameile. It sounds impossible, but... I'm not meaning to betray you or her Hikari..." he added in, "but at the same time I blame myself for not doing more to help her instead of resisting her all the time, or now turning my back to her. I once clamed to be the man that could fix anyones problems when I started the academy. But I feel I didn't do my job for her." He frowned seeming confused in his own thoughts and his words.

Meanwhile Theador new that there were changes, he saw it alittle in his sister each day. And of course he understood that there was now a difference between boy and girl he hadn't before. He didn't belive the snoring thing, but more or less the privacy thing between there genders. And he was fine with that, because when he came home all beat up, he could go into his room to hide it from his sister until it healed. In school he was best at the Phsyical Classes, Track and field, alittle football, even alittle basketball, he was fast, and that was his best ability even to this point. He did take enjoyment in Evelin's explination on the cymistry stuff, but he also feared it. Pictuing his sister becoming a mad scentist or something one day. He only knew he would become a guine pig, which made his chuckle whenever he thought about it.

However this day he didn't meet with her after school again. And it had been a few hours before his coming home. He headed quickly to his room, trying to use a book to hide the shameful black eye he had, and the bruses on his face. He wanted to be mighty still, but all he had was speed. Most of the time his parents were either too buisy doing things for god, (shortstraw basicly following Keria around) and most others were buisy doing other things. Ameillea knew just about everything though about the two of them, she didn't tell one from one to the other or anything though, she was a friend to both sides, her goal was to keep the two on the same team all the time. No matter what troubles. And now, Ameillea had enchanted theador and Evelin, so they could hear her speak now...

*Yuji stood and looked to her, "I was one of those too. I turned away because I thought she was a monster. And to use keria in such ways pushed that limet way further then anything for me." He nodded and looked around the room, "but through everything, She always stayed. She always... remained close to certain people. Wether we may have been pawns or not," he looked to Hikari and walked around the bed as he took her shoulders and looked into her eyes, "I felt it when I met her. I felt it when we had keria, that's how I know it was there. Before all this planning and monsterious business. And you know what, you and I are the only ones close enough to her. The only two she stayed close to, and sometimes tried for. Hell for a while she was actually doing well when I tried to stop her from doing anything." He smiled and gave a reassuring nod before chuckling, "what can happen we are already dead? I'm allowed to do whatever unless the big man gets involved, and you know he doesn't much. He's too cought up in other matters, like watching donte, or kirro..." he thought of coner, "I belive there may be a way to at least bring a happy ending to your sister, I feel we should at least try to give her that, even after death."

Meanwhile Theador had his back to the door, "uuhhh... Sorry I wasn't feeling well so I went to the nurse..." he lied, "I feel asleep in the chair and... well here I am..." he gave a chuckled to reassure his story. But even if she opened the door, his back was going to keep it shut if all possible. But as he looked into the merror he had at his eye, he knew he couldn't hide it this time. Not for too long. It wouldn't disappear before morning...

*Theador frowned at the voice, he haded it when she used it to get whatever she wanted from him. He couldn't use the snap at her trick, that would make her sad and stuff, he didn't want that. He shied and looked back to the merror. He figured she may have known he got in fights from word around school... but why was the reason he couldn't, or rather didn't want her to know. "I..." He found himself lost, "have some things going on with the guys at school." He looked down tot he floor. He may not tell her all the truth, but at least it wouldn't be lies... mostly "I don't want you involoved." He replied choosin ghis wording horribly. He quickly tried to cetch himself though, "It's a sports thing and..." He thought about how he could perhaps get away with a little fib. Yea a plan was coming together in his head now as he turned and opened the door to revile his eye, "I sorta got alittle ruffed up during a game today... It's..." he put a hand to his neck and looked around, "kinda embaricing... how I got hurt..." he replied looking to her. "Okay? I don't want my sister thinking I'm weak or anything," He chuckled, "so I guess I didn't want you to see this..." although his face was all swelled up along with his eye. Question was would it work?

Yuji took a breath, "There is no fail. We can't, we have unlimited time anyways... at least for now. And if anyone can do this it's us. We have a lead, an dwe have your memorys of when things changed the most. With that we can at least start to figure this out. We will just be carful is all... vary carful." He looked to the door, "however that guy, whatever his name was, I don't like him. And I don't know how to figure him out, but I think that should be our first step. If we can do that, we can figure out how and what he did to her. We can move on from there." He held out his hand, "we're a team now. You and I are married, and I know it's kinda wrong to ask my wife to help me go save my old wife... trust me I know it's... weird both are related, but I have to do this. And I think you do to."

*Yuji nodded, "that's just it isn't it. He likes to be like veria, okay then. But that means he's also watching her. If he's watching her, we can use that to have him watch us, and then we should be able to confront the man sooner or later. I come to find much like veria as a refrence, "he likes to experiment, twist the minds of others. That's when we can try to get some answers..." he shied, "I think. I'm not really sure. But she's a good start. I know she has some personal issues with the guy, which means if the best monitor in the world cant find him, he's going to be right under her nose. And when veria is after something, she doesn't let it go." He chuckled, "come on we got a long complicated mess to get involved with." He however did poke into the bosses room, "hikari and I are headed out... got something that needs done. Call If you need anything..." and he quickly went back to hikari to go on their way.

Meanwhile Theador blushed, "I know... that's why it's embaricing..." he sobbed lightly, "I was hopeing I would be better by morning is all. I don't want anyone seeing me like this..." so far the fibbing was mixing with what happened, and more and more the fib was winning over. What trouble would this bring, to be honist he didn't know... at all. He feared she may take action, maybe start watching him closer. But that was a chance he had to take, "oh hey maybe Ameillea could fix me up~" He replied, "I didn't think about it before." He stepped out the room. Ameillea knew his situation, he knew she would help.

*Veria no longer lived in the Yokai family castle, now she lived in the mantion in the center of all that land that she got so many years ago. Somehow she had become quite helpful to other leaders. And she was defently becoming quiet a odd Queen, but helpful to the world either way. The mantion held the portal to the Demon Realm, and it was from there the demons were aloud to come and go as if a port, however with new rules and reulations of course. Demons were allowed to mingle with the world, but vary strickly, and Veria only allowed a few hundred each day, because she litarly watched them, or found usful jobs they could do with there spare time for her. The Mantion however was also where Ameillea now lived. Even though she always met with her cozens when they needed her or when they were to go to school out of habit, Amiellea had also become a leader of a sort. It seemed her fascination for foxes, and her control over Rosseta, had brought her to becoming the leader of the Kitsuine Race. Though she barly needed to manige anything at all, the kitsuines basicly took care of everything. She lived her life how she wished it. But she did take up a fascination at this age (two years younger the Evelin and Theador) of what her mother was able to do with the bodys of others. The enhancments, the doctoring, all that good stuff. She was currently learning, but her greatest and best skill sh got from her father. Cale. When her cozens were on a item search, she was the one with the computer and the basckground information. The hacker, and team support.

*Yuji and Hikari soon found themselves standing at Verias kept up mantion. Yuji held a cheerful expression, "I always did picture Veria in a large house of her own one day~" He chuckled and looked to Hikari taking her hand as he walked through the gates, there were a few Demons here and there, mostly gaurds. Veria was vary carful, she knew she was a target to some because of the power she held, and the fear people had towords her in other places. And they instantly alarted Veria who spun around inside in her main hall, "no way... dad's come to visit me?~" She shouted, "ameillea darling prepair for some spechal guests!" She opened the doors as soon as Yuji and Hikari got up to it, "Dad, Aunty~" She replied greeting them both with a welcoming hug. "What brings you topside these days? Devil work perhaps, "she stepped aside and allowed them in.

Meanwhile Solfora headed down the stairs, however she wasn't looking as well in the past year or two. She was depressed her huspend had disappeared and everyone was moving on. She was also living of blood substiutes, unasepting anyone but dontes blood. "Oh..." she replied stoping while she was on her way to the kitchen, "rain again hmm?" She shied, "make sure you clear up the water please... just incase." She moved into the kitchen for a blood pack and looked for a clean spot to sit, "Did I hear some talk about USSR?" She frowned.

*Yuji nodded, " your... uhmmm... double." He replied hopeing she would get the point. But it missed veria by a long shot, "double? Ameilleas the closest thing to me." She blinked confused. Yuji shied and facepalmed, "the man, like you, you declared him your enemy for mesing with your mother, all that stuff?" Veria nodded, "oh yesh... I tend to call him AMULIUS nower days. It's greek for unknown." She nodded and motioned them to follow her into her tracking room, "I have a area susspificly for finding him. Sadly... whenever I do find him, he's gone again. So sadly I can't help much. I don't even know what I'm going to do with him when I do cetch him, it's been so long just trying to cetch him. He's good, and wiser then I intisipated. None of my previous methods worked. Traps don't work well at all." Yuji nodded, "well prepaire to see him soon." He looked to Hikari and looked around, "I think he's using a camellion method. Basicly he plays and watches others by becoming someone else. It's a perfict wayto cloak himself and get off the rader, and be able to watch others actions without being constantly on the run. This would also put him ahead..." Yuji turned. Hopeing he wasn'g going to look like an idot, "so show yourself already. Cuse we need to talk!" He called out... waiting to see if there was an answer...

meanwhile Soflora shied sadly, "that's what I'm afrade of... I'm not sure I can hold this too much longer. things are getting harder and harder to do all at once, I'm getting slower too." She looked down, "I thought he would be back by now. Evertime theres a challenge I think, what would my huspend do? And where is he when I need him?" She shied and looked back up, "I'm not meaning to be depressing for everyone, But lets face it, I need some help for when this does go down. A war isn't what I need, and if we are attacked, we can only hold the lines for so long, being our focus has been rebuilding and repairing damaged lands from the previous wars. We just started to get our numbers back up too. Things are going well again, but of course theres so many down sides..." She thought about it, "what do you suppose I should do Evelyn? Your the wisest here."
