Top 10 Anime Favourites
Let's here them. I'd rather start this thread before I find 6 or 7 threads like this to be honest. So pretty basic. What are your top 10 favourite animes and why. That's right; why are they your favourite? What makes them so unique against the others?
My Top 10:
1. Hetalia: I loved how each character becomes more and more lovable by the second. Each character portrays a stereotype that we often have of the country. I love how despite all of there flaws, no one is successful unless they work together. And I absolutely find it extremely hilarious when they all get into fights instead of working together. An excellent portrayal of World Politics.
2. Black Butler: This story was perfectly round. If you only watched season one, you would be satisfied with the ending just as much as if you watched it all the way through. I'm excited to see Season 3, but so far, this story has me on the edge of my seat every time I watch it. Excellent.
3. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood: I was not a huge fan of 2003 so when I picked this anime up I had no hope for it. However, I was in for a world of shock when this anime had me gripping my chair in anticipation as to what would happen. It's sequel; Sacred Star of Milos wasn't great, but overall this anime is worth 10/10. Absolutely wonderful. Well rounded too.
4. Ouran High School Hostclub: The randomness of this show always has me laughing; no matter how stressful my day has been. Tomaki is a wonderful character and you never truly know what he is going to have the Host Club do next. It was a perfect series and I loved the Manga just as much.
5. Hana Kimi: This would be the all-time girls dream somewhat. It would be awesome to be the only girl attending an all boys school. However, not good if you had to have everyone believe you are a boy. What this girl does for love is absolutely comedic. And this might be the best school in the history of Anime for personalities. Plus watch the Drama if you get the chance!
6. Chobits: This awesome comedy turned angst was actually a big surprise at the end. Meet your average joe kind of guy who rescues a chobit from being tossed in the trash. Comedy soon kicks in right after as both learn how to be around one another. However, Chi, who has forgotten everything from her previous owner might have another secret that can destroy their developing relationship. Honestly. I wasn't expecting this at all and I'm rather glad I got a chance to read this.
7. Free!: This anime was 100% loved purely for the fact that it was half naked men. I think we can all agree that there was just something satisfying about the men of Free! I love how intense they made their sport. You see the seriousness in their faces and you want to laugh it off as boys and their sports. Wonderful to watch in more ways than one.
8. Fruits Basket: I loved the manga. I loved how wonderfully written the story is and how developed the characters were, but the reason why it is not higher on my list is because of the anime. I felt the anime should have waited for the end of the Manga to be released. Akito wasn't properly portrayed in the anime.
9. Vampire Knight: The twists in this series were everywhere. None-the-less it was one of my favourite Vampire series. I can't really write much because a lot of what I enjoyed was the end and I'm not down with spoilers, but I did like the twist at the end of the series. It made everything make sense in my mind and deserves this top 9 spot.
10. Attack on Titan: this is the last spot because I have yet to finish the series and I want to really see what happens before I make any quick judgements. I like how it spares no one in this series. How even the main character becomes victim to these Titans time and time again. I like how Levi is portrayed as a leader and how the other characters work with each other. So far, I love where the series is going and I really hope they keep it going strong. My biggest fear is that they will get to the end of the manga and try to freelance the story, so I'm hoping that doesn't happen.

1. Has to be SAO. I mean Asuna and Kirito biggrin but that's beside the point, it did get weird when the incest started though >.> but that's beside the point. I actually have the starter deck for SAO at my house :3
2. Pokemon. It's been there for me since I was young even though I hate Ash and think Misty should have stayed with him and they should have had babies it's pretty obvious he'll never age because of Mewtwo vs. Mew but that's a story for another day.
3. FMA: Brotherhood. It would rank a little higher but Pokemon is just nostalgia and SAO I finished watching a few months ago and I want to rewatch it all over again from the beginning. This one was one of the first ones I got my fiance into so it's pretty high.
4. Digimon. Again another that's been there from the beginning although the newer seasons have been pretty awful which is why it's lower than Pokemon. Although the first three seasons were amazing and season four was ok seasons five and six ruined it sad
5. Soul Eater. Actually a good anime until the end then it got a bit wonkie. I've been told the manga is better so I have to look into reading it. The banter between Soul, Black Star, Maka, and Death the kid just made the show.
6. Deathnote. The whole premise is amazing. You can kill people by writing their name and how can they pin it on you? Although it would take it's toll on the person it's still a good concept.
7. Fairy Tail. I watched it on Netflix and want to see the next few episodes but since I can't seem to find it the show is lower on the list. Although I still do think Gray and Natsu secretly want each other.
8. Kaze No Stigma. It's a very underrated anime. I mean the one who was exiled from the family since he couldn't use fire magic yet he comes back but is a wind user and can pretty much beat everyone that uses fire magic. They made wind magic look soooo much better than fire magic. Although there was a lot of incest involved in this one as well sadly.
9. One Piece. A giant band of pirates that get into wacky problems not to mention this child with rubber abilities can pretty much destroy anything in his path sign me up for that. Although Ussop (sp?) annoys me so much. I honestly think they could do it without him and it would make it better.
10. Dragonball series; Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT. This series was one of the first I saw and it made me excited every week for the new episode although there were a few things that did interfere with the storytelling. And I don't include Dragonball Z Kai because that was just awful. The voice actors were horrible which ruined it.
