It was the second morning since Galiha had found out the truth about the Wolf Clan and had gone off, almost certainly to find the wanidatsi and inform him of their deceit. The Clan had yet to reach one of their typical camps, but those who were in on the secret knew their time was running out. There was no way to know how fast the pride's leader would reach them and there was the possibility of a deity being involved- they were taking a risk not having prepared the clan already. But now it was time. Ukahada Waya had been sticking close to his parents since Galiha left, wishing for the first time since he began training that he wasn't going to be the nvwati. With the help of his parents and his aunts and uncles, the Wolf Clan was being gathered together. The small nvwati-to-be was sitting near the front of the crowd, waiting for the last of his aunts to return. OOC Notes
- This is an ORP for the Wolf Clan only. No outside Ela'wadiyi or rogues would be anywhere near this gathering. - The primary purpose of this RP is to get clan reactions to the news that the alu'nadi has disappeared, however now is also the time for any opinionated clan members to offer their advice. Please wait until after the announcement has been made ICly, though! - Galiha is the name of the bird given to the Wolf Clan alu'nadi by the Bird Clan, from the end of the festival. Keep in mind that any cynical members might already have suspected that she (and the other birds) were placed in the clans as spies for the wanidatsi.

Kawani had done her best to spread the word that the Wolf Clan was to meet. She couldn't force everyone to come, but she figured that as long as a few members of each family were to join, the news would spread to everyone that needed to hear it. Mildly satisfied, she turned to meet up with her little nephew. He was handling this extremely well for his age, and between her and Sedi he had the support he needed. "Hello you two," she breathed as she reached him, giving little Ukahada a reassuring smile. "We're here for you like always." As she reached his side, she turned to face the gathering lions, conflicted on how this meeting would go.

Ukahada spotted Kawani as approached, fidgeting uneasily since he knew this meant they were just about ready to get started actually explaining what was going on. He wasn't looking forward to that and though he had been assured that nobody expected him to really be their leader while he was still so young and had so much to learn, he knew that he had to do it. The Wolf Clan no longer had an alu'nadi but they did have a nvwati of sorts. And he was determined to prove that he could do this.
"Is this everybody that's going to come, you think?" he murmured, looking around.
Sedi Waya was lurking on the opposite side of the crowd, looking worried. He had gone around to spread the word about the meeting like his sisters, but he had been the first to return to try to keep an eye on things. Every once in a while he would look up to the sky, wondering if two days was enough for the little spy to get to the Bird Clan and return.. He didn't notice Kawani had returned until she was already at the front beside Ukahada.
"Hmmm," he hummed, taking a seat where he was and frowning.

((Ignore his cert's clan... apparently I never got him a new cert after taking a mate. ::facepalms:: ))Kaleth was pacing some distance behind his young son, feeling entirely out of his depth. Things had spiraled out of what he would have considered normalcy some time ago, and now... well now he nearly felt like a mere observer as events spun further out of his control. How in the world had he ended up father to the leader of their clan? How had his small son been shoved into that position at such a young age? He was honestly baffled, and tended to wear an expression of befuddlement and worry at all times now.
Despite his own reaction, though, he still wanted to be a strong support for his son. He stifled his concerns and padded up behind Ukahada. He leaned to whuffle warm breath into his son's tuft of mane. He tried to walk a fine line between offering support and reassurance, versus treating their young leader with too much fatherly affection and embarrassing him or, even worse, reducing what little respect he might have from the members of the clan. After the short whuffle, he sat down, close but not looming. If his son needed him, he was there.

Gili couldn't well say that he was well versed in what was going on - he wasn't. He was, for all accounts, quite baffled. Bufuddled. Not quite comprehending the situation in its entirety. He joined the crowd to get a better grasp on what was going on. And he was perhaps a bit grumpier than normal - all this had thrown off his much loved routine.

Tivoli wasn't sure why everyone had been called together, but she knew that it must have been for something important. She hadn't been raised here, but she felt more part of the clan when things like this happened.
As she padded along, she glanced at some of the other members that had shown up already; many of them seemed confused, and some had more worried expressions on their faces. Her expression was more along the lines of confusion than anything else, as she didn't want to jump to conclusions before anything was actually announced.
Joining the group, she laid her eyes on the young male at the front; she recognized him, of course, and she wondered what kind of announcement could be looming with him at the head.

Ukahada looked up at his father, grateful for his support- and his respect for the fact that he was stuck in the spotlight. He would never admit to being embarrassed by his family, of course, but he simply wasn't sure of what would make a difference in how he was perceived as the nvwati- when the time finally came for him to take that role, if it could even happen now that his mentor was gone.
With a sigh, he realized it was time to actually explain why they were all here, and the little cub stood up to address the crowd, feeling ever smaller.
In the back of the crowd, Sedi kept alternating between watching the clan and keeping an eye on the sky.. until he saw that Ukahada was standing, then his full attention went to his nephew. It hadn't been an easy decision to put someone so young at the front of this but he really was the closest thing any of them had to a leader now.
"You've been gathered here today because I have an announcement to make," Ukahada said, his voice shaky but determined, "Or, rather, a confession. Shortly before the festival, our alu'nadi, Tsi'hilu Waya, went missing. To keep from interrupting the festival, a search party was sent out looking for her quietly but she could not be found."
He paused, frowning.
"The plan was to let us get settled before we made this announcement," he went on, "But Galiha, the bird given to us at the end of the festival, found out and has gone off to inform the wanidatsi. We don't know when he will get here, but we need to show that, as a clan, we can get through this."

Kawani did her best to stay strong, but it was hard. Now everyone knew that her grandmother was gone. "We tried," she said quietly. "We really did." They didn't have a clue as to what happened, or even what direction she went towards. She just disappeared. -- Kimbilio drew up a bit late to the gathering, though for many different reasons. He didn't stray far from his family, always feeling a touch nervous around others. He didn't regret his actions, though he'd always feel a twinge of sadness that one day his mother would have to deal with his death, but...sometimes he still felt like an outsider, somewhere between member and intruder. He wanted to know what was going on though, and his daughter Camarillo followed him. She was very upset, as the social lioness loved to be friendly with everyone in the clan, but she was doing her best to put on a brave face for her tense father.

Atlo had tried his hardest to make it to the meeting at time - it seemed like the smartest thing to do. Having his equally calm minded brother needing to talk to him, and his family, the dark hunter listened in to the conversation. The only reaction he gave, though, was a sharp frown, looking around at the members of the clan, taking in their answers and reactions. His grandmother, the alu'nadi, had been missing, and it was a great stresser on the clan. Clearing his throat a little, he looked from them, to the bird, before shaking his head. "I am here, to offer any assistance, if needed." Is all he could say, still considering all the situation.

[ OOC: I am closing this RP due to low activity, which is mostly my fault. I'm sorry I dropped the ball, guys. I know open-ended things like this are super hard. For anybody who wants to know, Tsine'rehsa Waya, one of Ukahada's sisters, has been selected to become alu'nadi and will be trained with Ukahada by Skan Kanati, who will be mostly staying with the Wolf Clan until they are fully trained. In the meantime, Kawani Waya will act as temporary alu'nadi as a balance to Skan's stepping in to lead them.
Luuuuuckily... Tsine and Ukahada have grown already so this whole scenario can be backlogged and we can resume normal clan function with both an alu'nadi and nvwati-- but now we are in the strange position of having both clan leaders very young :3 ]
When the announcement was met with stunned silence and only a few murmurs of support, Sedi's eyes came back down from the sky and he looked around the crowd thoughtfully. His gaze paused on his brother but then scanned back to Ukahada, who looked like he was waiting for something- anything- to happen. And nothing did, just as had been happening throughout the whole ordeal.
Ukahada fidgeted nervously, trying to figure out what to say now. They all knew what they needed to know, now, and nobody had anything to say- that was something.
"U-um--"
He hesitated, then swallowed hard before finally speaking up again.
"Until the wanidatsi gets here, you're all welcome to come to me with any concerns or suggestions," he said, hoping his voice was loud enough to be heard, "Once he is here, let's try to cooperate. We can handle this."
Ukahada's voice faded as he went on until finally he fell quiet and, very slowly, walked out of the little spotlight he'd put on himself to the other side of his father, where he finally started shaking nervously. Sedi got up from his spot in the back of the crowd and slowly started walking around the crowd to go chat with his sister again- but not so fast that he couldn't catch any snippets of conversation that were sure to break out now that things were too quiet.
All that was left was to wait for the wanidatsi.
