Daehisie pawed the ground and sniffed it experimentally. Minos had told her to stay in this area because he had business to attend to. So she had complied. Aacutenieuml was off and about on his own business as was his sister. That left Dae completely alone which somewhat saddened her. The ground here smelled sweet and earthy. The air was chilled and cool though. She must be more northern than normal. Or perhaps it was closer to snowing? She wasn’t to certain after all there was only so much she could tell without seeing the weather around her. Her tail flicked a lazy arch behind her while she wandered not quite sure what to do with herself and wishing that Minos or her children would come and find her again.

The noise made her look up and the voice was strange to her. She cocked her head to the side and her gentle musical voice came out. “Yes. I’m alright. I.. I’m just waiting for my heart or my children.” She dipped her head deciding she should actually introduce herself. “ I am Daehisie of Dorthonion.” She had no eyes to see what this new azerin looked like so she took a deep breath trying to memorize the scent. Of course it always took a while to be able to know a new azerin enough to pick out a scent still she thought it was polite to start now just in case she met this kind azerin again. The stranger sounded like a mare but she wasn’t certain.

Serenity, an interesting name with a soft scent. And a bonded as well? The mare had wings? There were times Dae missed her sight this was one of them. It had been so long since she had seen anything. She knew not what her own children looked like. Nodding her head she let out a small breath. “It would be a most interesting thing to learn what it is like to fly.” She offered a hesitant smile wonding if the mare would tell her or leave her be. Even this small snatch of conversation with a complete stranger was a generous gift in Dae’s mind.

It sounded messy for lack of a better word. If she could go everywhere then anything could come from anywhere. At least on the ground there was a limit to where you could run into things. Though perhaps that was the blindness she was now growing accustomed to. She stretched out her limbs and moved forward slowly trying to determine how far away the other was. She was curious to find out how big this azerin was but also wanted to still give the other some space. “Thank you for your words. They have been most helpful though it is hard to imagine the ground from the sky.” Perhaps the mare would keep explaining what it was like. All the things Dae had never seen and could never see. It was bittersweet to hear about them. On one hoof it was words that she desperately wanted to hear, but it was a reminder of what she had painfully lost.

It was interesting. “Though such flight must be perilous at times. There are times when the scent of a strong storm is so overwhelming as to be terrifying all in its own right. It would be hard to imagine such a thing in the sky.” She turned her face skyward trying to imagine what it could be like. The breeze that played with her was nice but up higher … well when she could see she had seen birds tossed about before.

The nod could not be seen but her words had were heard. There were even more problems than Dae could ever have thought of but they all made perfect sense. “mmm that would be dangerous. One would think wings were glorious but it seems even more complicated then imagined. “ She shook her head finding the wings far less interesting than she had. There was a moment of silence while Dae trying to think of something to say. “Serenity.. it is hard to see what one is like without being able to see. Perhaps you could aid me in this?” She was curious what this azrein looked like. Dae missed colors since her incident.

Listing to the explanation for what the mare looked like brought a smile to Dae’s face. The other was so colorful and bright. A very strange colorful from the sounds of it but pleasant none the less. Actually chuckling about the rose she hoped the other wasn’t the type to easily offend but the way the mare explained herself was funny. Why anyone would carry a rose on them was beyond her though since they would wilt so fast, though her own choice of garments might be considered strange to some. “Thank you. My sight was taken from me some time ago but many memories of such colors exist.” She shook her mane moving to feel the fluffy feathers. She moved slowly and with clear purpose hoping not to scare the other mare. She considered moving to smell the rose the other carried but getting to close to a strangers rump was both unappealing and likely a good way to offend.

“Fear not the alternative was death or worse had one not come to save such a fate from falling. Sight was a small price to pay for escaping mostly unmolested.” The memory was a painful one but it ended with Minos saving her so it wasn’t all bad. It was then she had decided to follow him and be his mate. “Things are new and different besides often the children act as eyes when they are about.” Finally after what seemed an eternity to the curios mare a soft fluff touched her nose. She nosed it and pulled back to nose it again making sure. “So soft.” She pulled back and looked up where the voice came from. “The words spoken were true. Very fluffy indeed.” Her tail curled in amusement and in joy of finding a new sensation. “Though I smell no rose.” She tilted her head in a slight confusion.
