What Makes a Positive Space
What makes a positive space positive; is acceptance of all people. That means no hating on anyone who is straight, gay, lesbian, transgendered, cisgendered and anyone else who has an unknown different label they wish to call themselves that I haven't heard before. It means loving people regardless for who they are.
A bit about myself? I am a White, Cisgendered, straight, christian girl who fights for equality. Wait what? Did I mention that I'm a strong activist for Pro-choice, Pro-equality and Pro-acceptance in the Church? No? Well, you learn something new everyday. Yes, I love church and the Bible, but what I can't stand; is when people judge people for something they shouldn't have to change to be accepted into society. This is what a positive space needs: people who love people regardless to what society says about them, regardless of their beliefs and regardless for who they are.
Are you planning on creating a Positive Space at your school or community center? Are you planning on creating a Positive Space in your workplace or as a group project in your community? Awesome! I stand behind you 100%. What are some ideas you have in mind that you will need for a Positive Space? I find this conversation works better if we all come up with ideas.
