The saying, "Love is War" is literal. It has never changed, and never will. What has changed, though, is who can run the tough and strict gangs, and what genders they can be.
One fine example, and one of the strongest gangs, is the gang "Lunar Poison." Lunar Poison has been under the female run for the longest time. In fact the person who created this gang was the first gang woman, and the strongest out of all the males, and was really strict. If someone disobeyed her, she would kill them with no second thought, but she was also smarter then you'd think. She would out smart the cops every time, and would always recruit people she deemed worthy. Just to show you how hard it was to get into this gang, there where only ten people over all. Now the Lunar Poison has been taken over by a male of the original creator's great great granddaughter.
The second and final strongest gangs, are the Uncrowned Kings." Don't let the name fool you. They are actually brutal. This gang has a string of unsolved murders that are actually tied to them. They have gotten away from the cops numerous times, and always seem to kill anyone who opposes them. This "man only" organization has just accepted a female leader because of her no mercy rule, and her brutal strength. She's known as one of the deadliest women to not be messed with, but upon the name, she's actually a sweet heart when your close to her. Everyone who enters into the gang lives inside her house, and has a list of things that must be completed, or they have to face her wrath. She's highly respected, and is always protected unless told not to be. She has no blood relation to the original creator, but it's known that she is the one who killed their last leader at the age of ten.
These two gangs have always bonked heads with each other, and because of the last generation and their new situation that seems to be lasting from last generation to now, arrange marriages have been arranged between the Lunar Poison and the Uncrowned Kings. The only problem is the fact that the two teen aged leaders hate each other, but also love each other for their perks, but they have another gang that has started to kill some of their members. This new gang has caused to much trouble, and this has made the hasty solution of marriage and collaborating with each other.
This new gang is the assassination gang. There's no actual name for them, so everyone jokingly calls then the ninja losers. Because of this new gang, everyone is overly suspicious of the newer members, and of the Uncrowned Kings leader.
