I Can Show You The WorldThey'd dropped off their stuff at the hotel. They would be in Disney for two days and one night. Otto knew quite a bit of characters and movies from the famous company, through his own childhood, Stormy and Nevada. And now he was in the land where dreams come true, with a very, very excited female. "I swear, some of the rug rats at this place have more tact than you." He grumbled teasingly, crossing his arms, his face hidden in shadow from his baseball cap.

A Whole New WorldCamille was in Disney World. The happiest place on Earth! Everything was so magical and contained in such a way that it was like living inside a bubble of happiness where nothing was going to climb under your skin, set you on fire, or try to kill you. Supposedly. Even if it had, at this point, nothing could dim her enthusiasm. Not even Otto's grumbling about her energy level could prevent her from all but dancing down the ramp from the monorail, through the gate, down the cobblestone road of Main Street USA. Disney World!!! Otto had firmly cemented himself as one of the best human beings to exist ever in the history of all things. It'd been nothing for him to check them into the hotel, to secure their tickets, to move in her glitter-filled wake. "Yeah, they do." She agreed easily enough, grin wide. "But I figure I've been waiting to come longer than they have so it's alright. I had it all stored up." Hands on her hips she turned right, then left, trying to figure out which way to go. "You said you like Pirates, right?"

A Whole New World It was neat she had a dream like that for so long. So long, yet still just as excited and happy to see it realized. "Hmm. Yeah. I like the pirates." Otto murmured in response, flinching as children talked and giggled and screamed around him. He'd stick close to Cami. She was the less irritating child there, even if she was older than him.

A Whole New WorldThat was the thing about Cami and dreams. She could hold on to them for eternity if it meant that maybe, one day, she'd get to check one off her mental list as fulfilled. Disney World, meeting her father, learning to hold on to her smile when she didn't feel like smiling, getting her Master's, maybe even getting married. The last one she wasn't entirely sure on and, for once in a rare while, the guy she was out with was one she wasn't trying to get naked. It was kinda weird but not in a bad way. A good one. Holy hell were her priorities changing? Scary. Still, she noticed the discomfort Otto had around the screaming collective surrounding them and was merciful. "Alright, well, I know the Pirates are in Adventureland. We just have to..." Trailing off she grabbed him lightly by the sleeve and tugged. "C'mon, Captain Otto Sparrow. We got a ship to catch!"

A Whole New World Otto turned his head to where she was pulling him, mentally smirking at her enthusiasm. She was huge into this. It was adorable. He wished he'd taken Nevada here. He wished he'd taken her on so many more trips. He lightly rolled his eyes at her naming. "Lead the way." He trusted Cami knew what do to, and where to go. He'd never been, and neither had she, but she was the one who'd dreamt of Disney since she was small. He had no preconceptions of what to expect, so the bar was low. Impress him.

A Whole New WorldOne day Camille was going to find out about Otto's tragedy and feel rather horrible and insensitive on a whole, two of her worst possible adjectives to apply to herself. Really she was surprised he hadn't yet taken her aside and told her to take it down a few notches but it seemed, in general, that Otto was a lot more tolerant of silliness than his immediate demeanor would suggest. Which was excellent, really, because she was a very silly young woman. Kidana hadn't approved of this 'leave' at all. There was so much left to learn, so much left to train for, and the magenta-haired trainee didn't care in the slightest. Cuz, really, Disney World??? Like hell she was saying no! All-in-all the park was surprisingly uncrowded for a hot May weekend. Oh sure there were lines but fifteen minutes, twenty tops, not the hours upon hours-long queues she'd heard horror stories about once upon a time. Perhaps it took them a little longer to meander their way to the Pirates attraction than it might have had she been to the Magic Kingdom before, but she kept getting sidetracked. Still, they made it, and into what was a rather dark, rather cool..."Cave? This is a cave?" Nervousness was in her voice but she muscled through it. "It's going to be neat. And I know there's nothing sudden about it." Or scary. Supposedly.

He allowed her to get sidetracked as much as she wanted. Were it up to him, he'd likely never see most of the attractions at the park, beelining for roller coasters alone. The scar dark cave was less than welcome. "Is this really it?" he murmured, trying not to get upset about a ride meant for children. He'd be fine. Fine. Kids could do it, so could he. Nothing scary about being trapped on a ride into darkness..... Yep. He had to be brave. It was silly to get nervous. He couldn't lose face in front of a girl, after all. "Well, let's check it out. Looks badass."

Casually, because that was the only thing you could do when you were quietly afraid of the dark and nobody really knew it, the fluffy-haired trainee hooked her arm through Otto's. "Yep. You sit in the boat, the boat goes through the ride, and that's that." Never mind that her toes were curled into her boots as they did get into that boat, crowded with three others in the row next to her, straight into a dark tunnel. Nope nope nope. Why was this a good idea again? Oh. Otto liked pirates. She liked pirates too...in theory. A cannon fired somewhere behind her and the yelp that sounded in the poor blond's ear was probably enough to deafen him. At least by the time Johnny Depp's portrayal of the quintessential pirate signaled the end of the ride she'd gathered herself enough to enter the gift shop and try to distract from her slip-moment. Distractions like putting a pirate hat over Otto's baseball cap and beaming. "Yep, it's meant to be."

Her shriek made him go wide eyed in the dark, his nails digging into his seat. He of course failed to actually breathe again until they were out of the ride. Lucky for him, his ball cap likely hid his whitened face. That was no kids ride. It was pure evil. However, he had in fact enjoyed hearing Captain Jack in the end. He was the coolest pirate next to Barbossa. He followed Cami through the gift shop. This place of course had way more stuff he actually liked than say, a pink princessy one. The hat was taken with a grain of salt, giving the girl a raised brow somewhere beneath the brim of both hats. "I was obviously born in the wrong era." Except totally not. In retaliation, he put a pirate hat on her too. With a bigger feather.

Luckily for Otto the Antiguan was far too wrapped up in covering her own fear to notice any semblance of his. Plus, to be totally unfair in a general sort of way, Otto was pretty white to begin with. That he had gone pale would have taken far greater observation skills than poor Camille possessed. What she did have in spades was the ability to pose with a spectacular, overblown hat perched atop her head. Her accent was laid on purposefully thick as she struck a pose that only Captain Morgan could truly imitate. "I'm from the Caribbean, Captain Otto. You'll have to try harder to defeat the likes of me!" It was with actual reluctance she put the hat back. Money was still a bit tight as it was still her first few months at Deus and there were souvenirs to buy. Cute Mickey ears for her and Otto to wear in a picture for Shu, something involving princesses for them, something Alice for Mimsy, something Stitch for Peyton. Jasper was far harder but she was determined. Browsing through a rack of fake seashell necklaces she clucked her tongue. "Maybe one day we should go to the islands. I know we live on one but it's not nearly the same. Then we'll make you a real pirate."

Otto. Loved. The accent. He actually smirked. It was fitting, really. That thick kind of accent for a pirate lady of the Caribbean. He snapped a photo of her on his cell phone before she put it back. Memories for later. Nevada had gotten him into the habit of capturing moments to remember later. Otto rummaged through the necklaces for anything he could wear in normal wardrobe without it being too obviously Disney. "Not the same? Why, cause it ain't got like... people on it?" He asked passively as he browsed. "Or cause yanno... we got real monsters." And a beach where death by tentacles was an actual worry.

Beelining for another set of hats, looking for one that could perhaps be added to Otto's Habitual Baseball Cap Collection, she frowned slightly. "No it's not that I mean...it's not alive in the same way." Deus' island was alive in its own way, its own creepy creepy way, but not like the rest of the Caribbean. "The islands I grew up on lived and breathed in their own way. All the people, the markets, even the damn tourists." Of which they were, currently, and the irony wasn't lost on her. "Not sure I can really explain it, it's just a thing you feel when you're there." Or maybe she was just crazy? Wouldn't be the first time. Shrugging it off she picked up a black cap sporting the Pirates logo and held it out to him. "How about this one?"

"No, I think I get it." Otto concurred. The island was a stagnant Hellhole of suffering. It didn't hold the magic of the real world. He couldn't imagine what an exotic place like the Caribbean would be like. Aside from movie adaptations. "You'll have to take me next time. Yanno, when you have actual money." Since Otto was the one treating her this time. He turned to look at what she'd picked out. An actual hat. One he'd actually wear. His eyes lifted a bit, as if inside he was probably smiling, approving. "I like that one. It can stay."

Eyes went big so quickly that it was clear she was faking the shock. " Real money?" She whispered beneath her breath, like he'd just offered her a glass slipper and a one-way trip to a royal palace. "Oh Otto do you really think I can one day?!" Dropping the hat on top of his own loosely she grinned. "The dollar stretches a bit farther there than here and we don't even have to get a hotel! We can just stay..." Remembering, suddenly, she dimmed for a moment before lighting back up. Always smile, Camille. Nobody wants to see anything else. "Okay so we need a hotel but I know a few places that are super nice to locals." Her accent came back out then, to play, heavy and brilliant. "And I am most definitely a local. You can take the girl off the island but the island never leaves the girl." Sudden homesickness washed over her but was dispelled as she looked out the store and saw something that made her squeak suddenly. "Ohmigosh Otto is that Princess Jasmine?!" Excitement came back in a rush as a plan immediately formed. "You need a picture with her. We both do." But it was more important to get Otto with a princess on his arm. Every princess. Mischief gleamed in blue eyes as she turned towards the register. This was the best day ever.

His head tilted lightly as she cut herself off. Regardless, it looked like their next trip was already in planning, and their current one had only begun. Still, the idea of sipping drinks on an island that wasn't Deus sounded pretty awesome. And of course, he didn't point out how thick her accent came back. For on, he could still undertsand her a fair bit. For another point, he liked it too much. Pointing it out might make her stop. He headed out to pay for the hat, giving her a brow raised stare as she squealed over a woman in costume. Ah right, the character actors. That was a big deal here. Actually, it was pretty exciting, in a childish way, to see them look so much like childhood characters. He lightly rolled his eyes again, replacing his current hat for the new one once he got the tag off. He was at Disney as a tourist. Time to tourist it up, he supposed. "Wait, why me?" He complained back at the giddy girl. "I'll take a picture of you two. I don't need to be in it." He had no idea what she had planned for him.
