Theme Song

In difference to it's sister, Dawnrise Vale, Morningsong Forest is eternally sleeping in a majestic state of twilight. Because of the forests that cover much of the land, the canopies of silver and blue leaves only let through a small amount of sunlight, resonating a cool, magical atmosphere all through. Some trees even leek magical auras instead of sap. Much of the pathways are lit up with arcane lanterns, and night and day here are hard to tell the difference.

▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▒▒Micha'el Maues▒▒▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

Micha'el stuck closely next to Lottie, who was similarly staying close to him. They were like siblings with how close they had become since meeting at Hope Academy. Lottie could remember when he first arrived. He was a pale young boy who woudln't talk to anyone. At first she thought he was afraid, or was being bullied. But instead he chose not to talk to anyone. After weeks of relentless effort she finally got him to accept her, and ever since he's been more open to friends. She's also the only other person that knows his secret, the only one that would ever believe him when he says he had a brother than tried to destroy Non-Magic Earth. He says no one remembers because... it never happened. But she trusts him. He looked happy here though, the sighs of this city were captivating everyone, even Alexis was joining in with the girls from Merlin. Lottie couldn't help but be slightly jealous, all those girls from Merlin were so intelligent, they could weave clothes from magic or could synthesize them from chemicals.

The conversation almost went dead after Ivan replied to Laxion. His eyes searched in front of him until Lumina finally said something, "Big fan, by the way". She sounded like she was being deadly serious, but there was an edge like she was trying to contain herself. Lil P' then chimed in wwhilst surprising Laxion, who didn't realise he was there. "Yeah" he said, "she particularly thinks the dark haired one is particularly attractive"
"P'!" she retorted, but he rolled his fiery eyes. Laxion at the moment was filled with a strange chill followed by a heatwave, did she mean Nyru? How awkward. "Y-you mean Nyru?"" he let out a small chuckle "he's uh, actually taken"
"BY HIM!" Alexis could be heard shouting back, Lumina, upon realisation let out a laugh too and covered her face as if embarrassed. "Goodness who'd have known"

_______________________________________________________________________

Exiting on the other side of the city it was like coming to a new scene entirely. Where the fields and woods were greener on the west, on the east side of the city everything have a steely blue reflection to it, or a ghostly faint glow. The forest was dense, save for some clear spots under the canopies. Some roots of trees glowed a luminescent blue. It wasn't like a dark, dank forest at all, more like a forest kissed by twilight where the sun couldn't reach. Atop a cliff Lucas came to a stop and the groups were told to hush. "I do hope you're all ready to be paired!" Lucas announced. Another silence fell over the team as the forest waited below the cliff and off into the distance. Alexis was first with her academy. "Wizards! Scientists!" she began, her hands firmly resting behind her back covered in luxurious blonde hair, "As you've always been taught, you're expected to adapt! Your pairings will be random!" there was a bout of whispers suddenly as Alexis raised her hand high into the air and with a snap of her fingers a blue light flickered. Moments later a web of blue lines appeared between the students, to find their pairs they had to unravel the web and find where their line led.

Laxion thought about how he could go about this, staring at the group fo students before him he thought about using military standards like he was used to in the Asmodius Corps. But he coudln't do that to them, he was never even a student here how would he know what to do. Then he remembered, what would Ruby want? Was it by chance that at that same moment he caught a glance at someone ina red cloak and hood. At first he thought it was her, his chest imploded but after a few moments he gave into what he knew, shes gone he told himself. Swallowing, he took a firm stand and spoke up, "I understand you're a school of honing your own specific areas of strength, and that uniqueness and personal choices mean everything. I want you to pair with the person of your choice, keeping in mind your ability to fight together and learn from eachother." It wasn't long until some obvious pairings were made, like Lottie and Micha'el who seemed to glue themselves even more tightly with eachother as if to warn everybody else that they were taken.

Nyru, with Claudia, wondered how to pair their students. They were standing in an organised group, like well trained soldiers without the faceless helmets and standardised armour. It was good to see Ravencrest starting to show uniqueness in it's students now, with different weapons and armour from each other. But they all acted like true adults still - to be expected of Ravencrest at least. "Got an idea?" he asked Claudia at the chest pieces standing before them.

______________________________________________________________________

Once all the pairs were made attention moved back to Lucas, who finished the announcements of their first mission. "This mission is to set an example of your skills and abilities for the future tasks lying ahead. In this forest are many metallic orbs consisting of varying colours, it is your mission to track these down, and after claiming one for your pair, return to this cliff safely. As with any mission, this forest is by no means meant for children. As you should know from your independent research Otherearth is faced with the threat of the Vardent, incredibly powerful and deadly creatures of nature. Once this is over you're free to explore Evermoon City. Good luck Students

Tsuna Miki

Ivan knew Lumina was blunt, but her ridiculous outburst made him slap his forehead in astonishment. Laxion was surprised and of course, Lil' P just had to make the conversation more awkward by bringing up her taste in men. As embarrassed as Lumina is, Laxion kept his cool and explained firmly that he had a companion and now the question is who. Fortunately, the lovely yet enthusiastic wizard answered that for them which Ivan could care less about his personal reference. No one cared much for him being a womanizer, save for the women he's harassed, but no harm no foul right?

Euphemia glued her eyes to the map she was given calculating every step they took and the watching the compass needle waver magically on the parchment. The Morningsong Forest was an impressive landscape with illuminating trees from the root up and greenery as far as the eye could see. It ranges from 1.5 million kilometers and then some stretching into the borders of Dawnrise Vale according to the map. The city they left behind shined in the distance like a fate memory that wouldn't be forgotten anytime soon since they'll be returning shortly. Halting on top of a cliff, Lucas announced that the students should have found pairs by now while the other did the same. Alexis stood tall, her representation among the students was not fear but respect, and her methods were unmeasured. Snapping her fingers, blue dust flicked from them until a lifeline of webs hovered every student in her faction. They are expected to unravel them to relieve their partner whether they're friends or not.

Apart from Alexis, Laxion seemed unsure about which teaching route to take since he's been accustomed to the Asmodius Corps military trainer. Not all the children were born furious soldiers and instead of discouraging them he wanted to hone their skills. When he stared right at Euphemia, in that slipt second she had a change of heart before the demon within her shadowed her affection for the male. By his expression alone though, he wanted nothing more than to have her by his side again. Swallowing his sorrow and assuring his pride, he suggested the students find their own partners to learn from one another indefinitely. Students were quick to choose considered most of them had found a friend at this point, but Tsuna remained reluctantly. Euphemia had witnessed his strength and skill on the ship and knew that she could use the girl to her advantage. She stepped forward and looked in Tsuna's direction giving her the signal of acceptance and partnership. Without words, the wolf obliged stepping next to her side hoping for friendship this time.

Nyru and Claudia faced their diverse students dumbfounded wondering how to pair them without conflict. Despite how organized and restrained they looked their was bound to be some tension in their numbers, especially in front of their superiors. Nyru quietly asked how to go about this and she has to think for a minute while staring down at her shadow. When she first partnered with Nyru they were hardly compatible, but their shadows proved otherwise. Inhaling deeply, she boldly reached a solution. "Ravencrest is one of the finest institutes in the region, but not take this as a compliment but a challenge. Everything you do from this point on will either effect or hurt to and your destined partner. Nothing is by accident, and everything is enviable," she stopped to let the words sink in before gesturing the students look down at their shadows. "Your shadow should be shaped as a animal of some sort, your designated partner will have the same silhouette. It doesn't matter if you know them or not, they will be by your side regardless. You will be one." Claudia ended her speech watching them neatly scatter into groups of two before glancing at her own partner. "Was that good? This is how we found each other, remember?" smiling happily, she allowed all the pieces two follow the straight path laid out for them.

Lastly, Lucas relayed the ground rules of this mission, seek the designated metallic balls of their color and return to this spot. Blood red was obviously Tsuna and Euphemia's color since they wore it openly. Afterwords, they were free for the day...if they made it past this trial. She may have not been present durring the school lectures, but Euphemia did hear about the ravenous Vardents. All the more reason to lure them out to vanquish the competition. For her, this was a walk in the park but to Tsuna, she was legitimately afraid of the unknown.

Die die die...
▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▒▒Micha'el Maues▒▒▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

Not every open wound is simply healed by time,
But revenge is always sweet,
And
chaos is the prize.

Feel it everywhere and you see it growing,
Enemies arise and the hate is flowing,
Shattering the moon and
bloodying the sky.

Nyru was still astonished when she looked up to him with a smile, the memory was sweet. He always fondly remembered the days he grew mature with Claudia, the two had been at odds daily to begin with, but it soon developed into a loving friendship. Now nothing could separate them. "Our Shadow Beasts" he muttered quietly, looking out to the students now looking down at their shadows. With a grin he exhaled threw his teeth and leveled his eyes on her, "it's been a while since we've used that technique... maybe here we can" he looked up and over to the expansive forest.

It wasn't long till the pairs were all made and they were ready to take on Lucas' mission. "Any last words?" Lucas asked, and as if she was biting her lips to keep quiet Alexis' voice sudden burst out "Lets show 'em what we can do! If you all get back first dinner's on me!". As if like a wick catching fire Laxion watched from his squadron and clenched his fingers tightly into his palms. There had always been friendly rivalry between them, but this was bigger game! Laxion's tone suddenly become more like an army general, taking the lead and giving the order, "I may not have been a Hope graduate, but believe me when I say you're going to leave those walking calculators in the dust! Don't let them relish in your failure!" there was suddenly an uproar from both small armies. Nyru and Claudia on the other hand stood silently, with their students, watching as if it was all petty. There was a moment of excitement though that could be seen on both Claudia and Nyru's lips, like vipers ready to strike in the shadows as they exchanged a glance. Turning towards the Ravencrest students, Nyru didn't have to shout, he only said "you know what to do".

Lucas pulled out the Purevelion blade, the hilt was the only part visible, the rest vanishing out of existence in sunlight. But sometimes there was a glimmer reflecting angelic light across the grass. He turned around to face the cliff's edge and when he lifted his hand up the dozens of orbs materalised at his palm, glowing vibrantly. In another second he striked them with his invisible sword and they all went soaring through the sky and into the forest, waiting to be found. With that the students were free to go! It was an organised chaos just then, Lucas though stood seemingly unphased by the students running past him, whipping over head, flying through the air on arcane magic. Some ran down the cliff, some devised ways of flying to reach the far orbs first. Micha'el and Lottie however were one ofd the few left at the end. They didn't have recoil to propel them into the air, nor the speed or endurance to run down the cliff. They had the Aria. "ready Lottie?" Micha'el asked, she gave a nod. Micha'el pulled out the Aria and let it hover before him, the pages opened and skipped through to a specific page before it began to glow and plant white lines and runes onto the floor. After a few more moments the light dimmed and vanished. He clapped the tome shut and suddenly a wispy white essence like pure clean smoke, glowing white, trailed around his neck, then down to the floor and hopped past Lottie until suddenly it got larger and larger. It didni't stop until it was twice the size of Micha'el and with a hush the essence blew away, revealing a wonderful white feathered Gryphon. With a wink and a wave to Laxion, Lottie jumped on and with Micha'els command they were both soaring into the distance.

_____________________________________________

"Over there!" Lottie pointed out towards the ground, there was a glimmer of light reflecting through a tiny gap in the tree canopy. "Did you see one?!" he asked, she nodded, "definitely! Let's go down before someone else finds it!" Micha'el didn't get the chance to command the beast down before she was leaping up and over one side of the Gryphon and falling. Micha'el rolled his eyes and stirred the animal down. Below, the forest was silent and harmonic, a slight hum resonating the magical energies of the Star Elves' existence on this place. There was a rustle, and suddenly Lottie appeared beneath the leaves. She grabbed a branch and swung, letting go and landing on the ground securely. She was shortly followed by Micha'el on the Gryphon. The moment it touched the ground it's body washed away into white aura as Micha'el walked up. They had found themselves in a grotto, surrounding them was the clear forest, it wasn't actually too dense, but before them was a small pond with water gushing out a crevice in the rocks. Beneath the water was that glint of light again. "Found it!" she announced, jumping forwards to the ponds' edge. But as she did the water groaned. "uh... wut?" she tilted her head.

The water rippled and it began to curl round and round as if something swam in circles. From the water then spawned a creature like a snake with draconic features. A minature serpentine dragon made from glass-like skin, tinged slightly blue, with no limbs. It was giant, and it's battlecry was too.

The machines of war will fuel both sides,
And the greed will only grow more lies;
Farewell to days of peace 'cause now it's time to
die.

Where did it go?
Our peaceful
youth,
Seems to be gone forever

Tsuna Miki

Claudia could tell he reminisced over their memories they have created together. The Shadow Beasts technique felt like it had almost been wiped from existence seeing how they hadn't used it for a while. It was conjured as a last resort tactic, but Nyru was eager to pull it out of storage. Chiming back, she responded, "If it is necessary to protect the students, we'll do it." She only hoped an emergency within the testing grounds wouldn't occur as she inwardly wished the children luck.

The pairs were set and Lucas asked if the staff had any last words of encouragement before setting the students loose. Alexis couldn't keep her mouth shut by bribing her school about buying dinner if they succeeded. Of course, this ignited a visible conflict between the two biggest fractions as Laxion buckled under pressure to ensure his students' victory. Like a stern squardron leader, he admitted that his time at Hope was short but not in vein. They were determined to beat the stacking odds against them and winning the fight! The two had the children's blood pumping, while Claudia and Nyru found the whole squabbled pointless. Their disciplined students didn't need uplifting speeches and Nyru put their goals into simple terms. Ravencrest was on their own as the pairs got ready to spread their figurative wings and soar through the skies.

Unsheathing Purevelion, and holding it outwards towards the blinding sun with no blade to be seen unless you inspect the reflection on the glistening grass, he summoned the orbs. Each one glowed a specific color swirling like a cloud of smoke within the metallic casing as the balls hovered above Lucas's hand. Casting the orbs into the wilderness with a swish of his sword, he released the sea of students. They trampled past their unphased superiors either leaping off the cliff side or running down the jagged cliff side. Tsuna gained tremendous speed among all her peers considered she's a werewolf, but Euphemia was impressively keeping up. The redhead assumed the girl had done this many times before seeing how her talent far surpasses her age. Euphemia's shadowed face turned to Tsuna as she stretched out her wrist to show her the flower bracelet wrapped securely against her pale skin. In a flash of red and black light, a rustic silver shield with the same flower engraved on the front appeared. Euphemia snapped it and right when Tsuna was about to grab for her weapon, she deterred her. "Not yet. Save your strength. For now you'll be the first advancement and I'll be the backup decoy. When we get to the edge, let me ago ahead so I can duck down in front of you. Rebound off my shield while I act as a spring to give you velocity." the plan sounded prefect, but how was she going to get down. Before Tsuna could speak, Euphemia shook her head and said, "Don't worry about me, just go ahead and I'll catch up."

In an instant, the edge of the cliff drew near and Tsuna followed the girl's instructions without complaint. Euphemia rounded the wolf, ducked, and when she felt the weight of her shield crush down upon her, she forced all her resilience upwards flinging the girl into the distance. How she would land would depend on her own balance. Euphemia stood there for a minute letting the other pairs pass her by until Micha'el and Lottie were one of the few left. Her intense red eyes stared at them and widened when the blonde revealed the Aria. It matched the description Lamia had given her, but she had no idea the boy had it in his possession until now. Similar to Lucas, he levitated the book into the air using magic to flip through the pages. Once it found the correct spell, white ruins lit up on the ground beneath him and a puffy of twirling white fumes flowed out onto the boy's skin. It slipped down to the ground past Lottie and increased in size until it took on an ethereal form. A beautiful Gryphon with shimmering white feathers that was ready to be ridden by its master. Beckoning his partner, she hopped on the bird's back and the two soared off leaving Euphemia the only one left. She was lost in thought wondering how she was going to steal the Aria from Micha'el. She also didn't want to draw suspicion to herself either, but the others must be baffled by her lack of haste. To throw them off, she hesitantly stepped back before sprinting forward in a flurry of dry flower petals and disappearing from sight.

Euphemia ended up in the middle of the forest looking upwards through the canopy. Finally, the demon inside her made his presence know by whispering in her ear in a raspy tone. "Do we find the boy and kill him?" Euphemia retorted, "No. We'll make ourselves obvious and get caught before we can execute him. For now, we go about the mission normally and find a way to create a diversion. During the chaos, we'll take the Aria." the demon wasn't accustom to a harmless route but it was best not to argue. He could lose control over his her if he allowed her to display any type of willpower. They traversed the forest swiftly looking for Tsuna.

Meanwhile, Tsuna had survived her rough landing by digging her nails in the trunk of a tree to slow down her descent before crashing to the ground in a nest of shrubbery. Her head spun and she could barely get to her feet but somehow managed. The girl found herself facing a meticulous sculptured rock formation with a shrine at the peek. Coincidentally, an orb of their color was housed inside the shrine, but what she failed to realize was the creature the sacred place belonged too. As if she were in a trance, she climbed the steps up to the peek not noticing the moving shadow gliding in the sky above her.

"Charlotte!!!!" Micha'el yelled out in a plea that she might dodge the monster's attack. It's long and thick tail came down inches from her body as she jumped away, it crashed into the ground,w ater and dirt flying up into the air as it let out a dragon-like growl. Lottie pulled out her glaive and dived in for an attack on the Wyrm's tail! The monster felt the sting and almost immediately whipped it's tail into her gut, sending her soaring past trees and boulders. "No!" Micha'el's gut twisted seeing her hit so hard, so eh retaliated with the Aria's power. Letting the book hover behind him he brought his forearms together to form a shield before him, a holy white cross appeared and defended from the blast of magical aura exploding in his face. When it cleared, two white-steel hand crossbows formed from glowing white aura at his fingertips, the bolts were white-hot divine light. Shot after shot the wyrm took a bolt along it's slender body.

I have to help!, with every piece of enery she could find she ran back through the woods and closer back to Micha'el and the monster. When she got there she jumped up into the air and shouted "IRON MAIDEN!" The call was like a trigger and Micha'el stopped immediately. The crossbows vanished and the Aria floated in front of him, with a push of his hand a white light shot towards the snake, the ground lit up with runes and magical circles untl suddenly shackles of white light were holding the beast down. From above, Lottie threw her weapon with a mighty cry and trailing behind it were the spectral blades of fallen soldiers. When the glaive hit it shot straight through the creature's glass-like skin, and then the dozen other blades followed through too. The body fell limp. Slowly the wyrm's skin burned away with blue fight, and the magical essence within itself lingered like a ghostly aura. "Oh right!"
"that was too easy" Micha'el admitted, stepping up to the pond again as Lottie walked into the shallow water to grab the orb. "That thing wasn't a Vardant, we should hurry before we get a chance to meet one"

"Here are your trackers" Lucas came to the gathered adults and gave them small glass devices. Lumina took hers and looked it over, looking at the front and then the back before copying Alexis and pulling on the sides to stretch it bigger. Lucas, ignoring the sound fo a few minor explosions in the background, explained "when the students were given their crystal balls as keys to this mission, they were also linked to these. You can keep check on their vitals to make sure they don't come into any real danger." Laxion was already scrolling through, and Nyru saw that he was quite eager. "Who are you looking for?" he asked, but Laxion sort of made a funny noise and a weird face, "I... I'm not sure. Who is the girl with the red cloak? I can't find her on here". Alexis almost gulped, "... red... cloak?, it was like they were soldiers suffering from post traumatic stress disorder. Alexis shook off her thoughts just as Laxion had done a while before. Well, or it was having to purposefully take a step away from Ivan who seemed to be pretty close to her blonde locks of hair. Lumina looked up, "She's one of the Hope students, I have never taught her before though... but you're right, she isn't on the list of students here. Is the system up to date with the last minute entries?"
"It's impossible to not be" Lucas confirmed. Lumina could remember that look the girl gave her on the ship, a chilling stare that felt like she was staring into her soul.

Tsuna Miki

Tsuna triumphantly concurred the stairs to the peek and explained the solid wood shrine. Half melted candles and twisted pieces of papers were displayed on the sides to honor the beast that claimed that spot. Scattered on the ground were iridescent scaled of red, olive green, and ebony varying from different shapes and sizes. Tsuna didn't pay them much attention and wrote them off as sparkling confetti as she scrapped past them. The metallic orb with their wispy red color sat neatly inside the house and without thought Tsuna reached her spandex gloved hand out to retrieve it. Upon touching it, a blood curdling roar rang from the Heavens and shook the earth from where the wolf and her mysterious at the bottom now stood. Euphemia turned to the sky hearing the sound of massive wings maneuvering down towards them, a wicked windstorm rustles past the two as Tsuna grabbed the orb coming down. Her descent down the staircase wouldn't be an easy one when suddenly the silhouette of a winged reptile revealed itself falling above her. Tsuna looked up into the open mouth, sharp teeth, three tongued jar of the monster terrified. Within second, it was a few inches above the girl threatening to swallow her whole if Euphemia hadn't jumped in and wrapped her body around Tsuna pushing her off the steps. They landed on the ground with a thud winded while the dragon barely missed its targets swooping back into the air with a groan. The formation of the steps were demolished by the beast's thick white tail in the flash of an eye. Euphemia knew this wasn't the dragon that inhabited this area, but a large Vardent assuming its territory. The caped girl jumped to her feet and assisted the wolf so they could hide from the angered monster. Tsuna was shaken seeing the misshaped creatures for the first time. It's head wasn't symmetrically and looked like a flattened fanning out bed of coral. Colorful bulbous eyes covered its faces and pointed rhinoceros jaw. It's wings had holes in the thin layers of skin between its bony structure and its back had an exposed spine as well as ribs. Lastly, the Vardent's tail looked like it a gradient of white to transparent.

"That's a Vardent..." Tsuna replied shakily as Euphemia stoically stood there having battled a raging Under Lord once before. "Tsuna, listen to me. I'm going to take on the Vardent while you return to the staff safety." the werewolf shook her head in disbelief. "ARE YOU CRAZY!? That thing will mangle you!" Euphemia smirked, "No it won't. I've done this before. I can't give you the details but you'll have to trust me. As it dives down again I'm going to run at you with all my force. Take out your hammer and launch me off it as you did with my shield. Our mission doesn't sound vital, but it is. As my partner, I need you to do this for me." Tsuna growled in frustration baring her fangs, but for whatever reason she trusted her mysterious ally. The Dragon Vardent was careening down like she had said and Tsuna readied her hammer for take off. It dived closer and closer sending shivers up Tsuna spine until she heard Euphemia sprinting towards her picking up leaves and dust as she went. As if in slow motion, she jumped on the head of the hammer and Tsuna heaved her into the air watching her soar up barely hurdling over the creature's head and on its back. Tsuna didn't have time to cheer as she took off, running on all fours this time to the base of the cliff. The orb fit snuggling in her jaw as she hurried, her pulse was drastically increasing on Laxion's tracker.

Claudia admired the new devise her was given and quickly strapped it on and skimmed through the teams. All of them were making good progress as to be expected from Ravencrest. Nyru noticed Laxion frantically scrolling through his pad searching for one student in particular. He studded a reply as he seemed absorbed in finding the name of the girl with the red cloak, the one that hesitated to jump. Alexis looked frazzled by this statement and something about the girl gave Claudia an uneasy feeling too. Ivan glanced over the wizard's milky shoulders trying to look at the list of names on the pad as well. "Now that you mention it, I haven't seen her in my lectures either. I was sure she'd be in one of yours Lumina. But, there's no way she can't be a student because she was able to gain access to the ship." he gruffly testified coming to the most logical conclusion. However, Lucas was unconvinced knowing that the system should have updated regardless of a new entry. That's when they heard Tsuna yelling for help at the base of the cliff, all them ran to the side to look down at her pointing backwards towards the shrine. "MY PARTNER IS IN TROUBLE!!!! PLEASE SHE NEEDS HELP!" The child yelled at the top of her lungs only realizing that she didn't catch her name.

Die die die...
▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▒▒Micha'el Maues▒▒▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

Not every open wound is simply healed by time,
But revenge is always sweet,
And
chaos is the prize.

Feel it everywhere and you see it growing,
Enemies arise and the hate is flowing,
Shattering the moon and
bloodying the sky.

Micha'el and Lottie were running through the forest attempting to get back to base, but that cliff felt like miles away. Flying over the canopy was much quicker than going underneath like they have to do now. Trees whipped past, they launched over large roots that stuck out the ground and they ducked under the odd wisp now and again that got in their way like a giant blue firefly. "What d'you think these are for anyway?" Lottie asked, running alongside Micha'el. He gave her a short glance and hopped, "I think I might have overheard Lumina and that creepy teach say something about teams."
"So we're half of a complete team?"
"That would appear to be the idea". A sound roared out above anything else around them just then, it made both of them widen their eyes in disbelief, it must be a pretty big Vardent to make the ground vibrate.

"That is true" Lumina buried her chin in her fist, unsure of what to make of this information. Lucas watched over, seemingly working everything out in his head, "It's a possibility she doesn't have either of us, but I can't remember the last time that's happened. Either way, Lucas was r-" the sudden yelling of a familiar voice coming from below the clifftop broke her concentration as they all looked up. Tsuna. "...Trouble?" Laxion repeated, taking a step forwards and looking down at Tsuna, she was almost as small as a bug. "Who is?!" Alexis yelled back, meanwhile Lumina scrolled through her device with Vince, yet neither of them could find someone in mortal danger, everyone's levels were safe. "Laxion, Vince" Lucas ordered, and with a knod "go". He need say no more as Laxion returned a nod and a short glance at Vince before throwing himself over the cliff edge. A flurry of air exploded behind him as he spun out his double-sided spear. Within moments he was on the ground with Tsuna. He waited for Vince before going ahead to follow Tsuna.

"WOH!" Micha'el was stopped dead in his tracks when a blue glowing spear shot past his head and embedded itself into a tree trunk beside him. He lost balance and dropped down to hit butt when he heard the laughter of another student. "HEY, THAT'S RUDE" Lottie shouted, somewhere across the way. Micha'el looked up and said two students, one has cylinders filled with electricity on his back, whilst the other seemed to have an assortment of glowing spears on her back. Merlin students Micha'el muttered. "We can't let you get back before our school does!" the long haired blonde winked with a gesture as if to salute. "I don't think attacking us is part of the rules" Micha'el let out as he brushed himself down. But this time the boy replied, he had messed up spiky white hair and giant gauntlets, "who care's about the rules! We're in a forest with monsters! Hey, Sersay, maybe we shoudln't waste our time on these shrimps", the girl chuckled innocently, looking oddly kind. Lottie wondered if she was just letting him act like a bully because she was oblivious to it or stupid. Micha'el said "I think you're wildly mistaken."
"YEAH!" Lottie let out with a power fist in the air. But the scientist with the wacky hair got ahead of himself, yelling out something vague and then pulling back his fist. When he released his body shot forwards as if dragged by his fist towards Lottie's face. Micha'el blinked, and suddenly the boy's fist collided and was glued with a glowing white magic. Inches from her face. Lottie stuck out her tongue and lifted up her glaive, an attack faster than he could see burst his left mechanical fist as it shattered to the floor. He still couldn't move, as if completely syndicated. Sersay let out an irritated groan and ran over to him, whilst Lottie and Micha'el walked by without a care.

Alexis turned to Lumina as the boys ran with Tsuna, "is it possibly someone could have stolen an orb from one of your students?". But Lumina seemed taken aback, "... I don't believe so. None of our students should have left campus before we left after getting the acceptance orbs."
"Could someone have come to campus?" Lucas asked calmly, to which she responded "why... yes. It's quite plausible". Alexis and Lumina seemed to suddenly tense, whilst Lucas remained calm and looked back over the canopy. He was filled with a strange sense of uncertainty, as if something was happening above his control. But for now... it was who, or what? And more importantly why? He would only act when he needs to, for now... he would like to control the situation and keep it down low.

There are more pressing matters for him to be worrying about...

Tsuna Miki

Claudia over heard the dilemma and slowly wondered over to put in her two cents. That's girl's aura felt similar to her sister's, but she perished the thought knowing for a fact that Ruby's dead and not coming back. Lucas pondered over the possibility of the girl's sudden appearance while Lumina concluded that she wasn't even a student. Out of the blue, the red caped girl's partner showed up causing a ruckus over an emergency. Laxion and Alexis replied to the call asking for a specific person, but Tsuna regrettable doesn't know the answer. "IT'S MY PARTNER! I DON'T KNOW HER NAME, BUT THAT'S NOT IMPORTANT RIGHT NOW!" she stressed glancing back as a second roar shook the forest. Meanwhile, Lumina and Ivan searched through the rooster but found none of the students in danger seeing their regulating pulses. Ivan and Laxion were implored to take care of the matter and without delay the young fae leaped off the cliff in a gravitating spectacle. Ivan was more tradition as he ran half way down the cliff before flipping off onto the ground. From there, he pulled out a black glove from his pockets and up it on. The glove didn't look like much but it literally packs a punch and disintegrates the item it comes in contact with. "Let's go!" he commanded as Tsuna took the lead on all fours.

Euphemia had her work cut out for her as she grabbed the exposed spine hanging onto the dragon's backside. The Vardent could feel her touch and attempted her shake her off by looping through the air at full speed. At one point, her whole body weightless lifted off the Vardent flailing trying not to lose her grip. Jetting out her wrist, a red light decorated with pure white sparkles and black wisps puffed out of the flower bracelet like a fragrance bottle. The pitch black hilt of her crimson bladed sword rose from the center before she grabbed it unveiling the rest of the weapon. She swiftly swung at a section of the creature's body only to have the sword cling against it sending painful vibrations up the metal and into her arm. Obviously, she was flabbergasted and tried different areas all ended in the same fashion with an ear piercing shing noise. "It's skin is as hard as a diamond..." Euphemia whispered to herself seeing the Vardent getting irradiated. However, instead of trying to knock her off its back, it began to grumble and snort before accelerating. Opening its jaw, a toxic green substance leaked out of its mouth sending the clouds back towards her. The smell was unfathomable, like sulfur, and once the gas hit her she began choking. Her eyes watered and her grip on the Vardent wavered until the demon stepped in. Dried rose pelts shot up in the flurry around her trying to clean out the population. In minutes, Euphemia could at breathe again, her breaths raspy but nothing she couldn't handle.

"Don't be reckless girl..." it warned agitated. Her sight is blocked by flower petals and noxious green gas, but if she moved forward there would be a clearing at some point. Carefully, standing up and walking slowly in the direction of the head, a gap in the wall of petals and smoke brushed by for a second. The nape of the Vardent's neck looked soft and wrinkly compared to the rest of the body. The eyes are vulnerable too, but the nape was closer to she drove towards that weak spot. Her hood whipped around her face as she inched towards the tender spot eventually making it there by being pushed that way as the creature tilled slightly down. Losing her balance, she rolled into the spot hitting the back of the head hard. She tensed with pain but was able to pin herself down in that spot. "Here goes nothing!" she declared holding the sword high and stabbing it down into the creature's skin. It sank in almost taking her along with it while blood squirted out staining the Vardent's white scales. It roared in agony as she yanked out the sword repeating this process a few more times.

On the cliff, Alexis and Lumina were still discussing how the girl could break through their system. Alexis questions one of the routed she could have took, but it's unlikely. Lucas however, knew that the campus was open and knew that someone could just walk into without looking suspicious, especially a child like her. Claudia walked up to Lucas's side and looked at him worried before responding, "What would be her reasons though? I know Evermoon is unknown to the rest of the world, but what will she do with that information?" the blonde has many more questions, but didn't want to get ahead of herself.

Tsuna skid to a stop when she noticed the green cloud of smoke drift over them, her scents going wildly, and pointed it out two the two. "There it is!" Ivan nodded and looked to Laxion. "Any ideas on how to get up there?" he asked incapable of lunching himself up there without a boost.

Laxion and (omg im SOOOOOO sorry i called him Vince, it was late at night crying sweatdrop ) Ivan ran past Verdant and strangely no students, they must have spread out farther for the orbs. Good, Laxion thought, at least if there was a real threat here they won't get involved. But the pesky Verdant, they hid amongst nature, as bark or roots and whipped out to get a scrap of you when you least expected it. Ancient beasts, he had to remember, they were on this world since its first breath of life - they aren't to be underestimated. When they finally got to the area that Tsuna ran from they didn't need to be convinced that something deadly was here. Way up a cliff face where the forest continued they could see a ghastly gas, it looked poisonous. Laxion observed every aspect of the cliff-face, Ivan was correct, he wouldn't get up there quick enough.

Laxion tilted his head as if weighing up an idea, as if he was going to do it anyway but Ivan might not be happy. With a spin and a thud Laxion held out and stamped his spear into the ground beside Ivan, "hold this" he said, leveling his gaze on him, "hold tight". Once Ivan had a tight hold Laxion's grip tightened and the spear's head shot up and way over the cliff's edge at the summit. Once the metal rope tightened Laxion' let go and the spear erupted from the ground and whipped up to meet it's other half on the cliff, taking Ivan with it. Laxion coudln't help but grin as he watched Ivan's rag-doll body fly up. He'll land properly, he hoped. Otherwise why would he be on this trip. Flinging his arms back he released a torrent of energy that propelled him up and over the cliff. By now he had forgotten if Tsuna was still with him, but the monster up ahead was huge, yet it wasn't moving. And atop it was a girl wrapped in red with a white sword, accompanied by a darkness on it's edges. Squinting, Laxion looked confused - this girl, she took it down all by herself? "Hey!" he said, "you there! What happened?"

Tsuna Miki

Euphemia continuous wounded the Vardent until it could no longer fly and had to take refuge up on another cliff face. It whaled in excruciating pain seeing how it was unable to heal or protect that part of its body. It would either die of blood loss or commit suicide by simply falling off the cliff.

Laxion didn't waste any time and stuck his spear into the ground next to Ivan and demanded that he hold on tight. The scruffy male indulged him, gripping as tight as he could while the spear head shot up embedding itself on the cliff side. The metallic rope pulled taut and the man was sent flailing with the spear handle as the two were yanked from the earth. Ivan let out a low octave scream rushing towards the rock, but before he smacked right into it he shifted his weight so the spear would carry him up and over. He jumped landing safely with no problems facing the transparent, white gradient tail of the Vardent. It flopped back and forth wildly but the green gas concealed the rest of the beast so he couldn't locate the problem. Using the wind to propel himself forward like a rocket, Tsuna remained on the ground still afraid to go near the creature. By the time, Laxion had made it up their the Vardent lay dormant and the green haze cleared leaving Euphemia exposed on top.

He wanted to get to he bottom of this atrocity, but before she could answer the beast began to move again. "Watch out!" Ivan warned as the tail whipped round ready to hit Laxion. Ivan grabbed the boy and pinned him down as the tail whistled over their heads. Euphemia hadn't finished the job, but now she was about to. Shifting her equilibrium, she ran down the backside before turning and running right back up. Dried petaled swirled around her blade as she catapulted into the air, flipping, and bringing the sword full force down on its neck like a guillotine. The petals would enhance the blades slices making it go through the Vardent all the way chopping its head clean off. Tsuna watched from below as a fountain of blood sprayed from the severed neck of the creature and the massive head plummeted down the cliff. It's body flopped lifelessly over forcing Euphemia to retreat and jump down. Whipping her blade free of fluid, she allowed it to disappear and stood there looking at the two instructors. It didn't matter if she was revealed now or later so she would allow herself to be interrogated and brought back to the others.

Ivan lifted himself from Laxion and glanced over at the student waiting there patiently. "It's alright, we're not here to hurt you. Just stay put." he told the girl thinking that she may take off when they least expected.

((listening to Wings from RWBY :'( ))

Laxion hit the floor and was suddenly beneath Ivan who used himself to get Laxion out of harm's way. Blowing out from his lungs and staring at the man in the eyes in surprise he waited for Ivan to get off and attack. But when the two of them stood up the student had already decapitated the monster with a clean cut followed by beautiful petals that flew away in the breeze, following the head that rolled down the cliff. Laxion watched it tumble down closer and closer to Tsuna. When he turned back a feeling in his chest made him stutter. Everything blurred, he felt sick, his stomach was twisting and his eyes felt like they were spiraling. But the girl stood out crystal clear. He thought he heard Ivan say something to her but he couldn't hear that either. There was a clang as Laxion's spear hit the ground and rolled against Ivan's foot. Was he holding it? Laxion couldn't remember. Did he still have hands? He couldn't feel them, or his feet for that matter. When he let out a small gasp he knew his knees hit the floor, they were too wobbly. He looked pale, white as if he'd just seen a ghost. He let out a broken sigh, shaky but he gritted his teeth together tightly, blinking and recollecting himself. HE squinted, looking behind him trying to ignore it, trying to convince himself that this wasn't real. He didn't want it to be real, even if his heart did he knew, she could not be her. Ruby was dead.

And this was cruel.

This pain... it hurt so much. If this was the torture of seeing someone you were close to back from the dead, then he did not want it. Taking in a huge breath again he looked up at the student ahead, "R-" he bite his teeth again, he coudln't say it. Didn't want to but he had to. That sword. It pulled his voice tighter, his eyes got blurrier just thinking about it, those petals, it was Ruby's! No one elses! "...Ruby?" he asked. His eyes stared deep into her soul, "Ruby- is... that you?" he squinted again, twisted his head and finally looking back at her again, "P-please?"

Euphemia (Ruby)

Ivan fully recovered from the tackle while Laxion seemed out of it as he stared at the impostor in front of them. The tan male didn't understand the connection between the two nor could he be forceful with the girl. He wanted to get to the bottom of the problem, but suddenly Laxion was hypnotized by her gaze within the shadow of the hood. Her small, delicate frame stood erect and Ivan wouldn't underestimate her power over them. Taking a defenseless stance, he was about to charge forward when the fae's spear tapped the side of his shoes. He stumbled forward and buckled under his own weight in shock. His face turned a sickly white, his teeth chattered, breath shuttered as he tried to deny the reality staring him in the face. Laxion double took the figure to make sure this wasn't an illusion or some dream he's coaxed himself into believing. No, the girl was alive and her gaze dead set on the instructors like a lion observing her pray ready to bounce. As for Ruby, she watched Laxion suffer as she did unable to say goodbye and then forgotten about until they have to knowledge her existence. He resisted addressing her, but knew it was her by the weapon she cared and the confident combat style. Eventually, he choked out her name regretfully before asking if it was truly her hoping this isn't some cruel prank. He beckoned her to answer, to hear her sweet voice again, but she had to relieve them of the 'baggage'.

Waving her hand gracefully, flower petals drifted along the gentle breeze to Ivan fluttering around him. The fragrance was so strong that it made the man dizzy and in seconds he passed out from the fumes. His body flopped to the ground unconsciously as she walked slowly up to Laxion. Stopping right in front of him, at knee height she barely surpassed him. Reaching out to him, her petite pale hand touched and caressed his chiseled cheek. Laxion should recognize her cold touch immediately finally proving that she was back from the dead. "How long has it been since I died? Weeks, months, a year perhaps?" The child cooed as she slowly removed her hood with her free hand. Her white looks cascaded out over her shoulders clashing with the velvet red cape and Lolita dress. Euphemia's red eyes captured his as she continued to stroke his cheek. "That use to be my name, right? Ruby...It's not quiet as elegant as Euphemia, but since we're old friends you can call me whatever you prefer." she insisted as she toyed with his emotions nonchalantly. "You haven't changed much, but neither have I? And what of the others?" She pried moving in closer. Laxion was full of annoy and the demon within her enjoyed every minute of his misery.

(Now I'm listening to the music and feel sad!)

Laxion didn't pay much attention to the fainting Vince beside him, he did watcht eh petals go by him though and wondered why she wanted them to be alone. But a she approached they were at similar heights and he felt more confused than ever. Her touch, he knew it was her. In reply he managed a feeble "half" of a year, "... why, Ruby-" She apparently wanted to confirm that used to be her name. She even commented on it's difference to what could be anew name she's adopted for herself. She offered him the chance to call her Ruby though, for being old friends. Through his blurry eyes though he managed to stop himself from crying anymore. "...old friends?" he asked, not replying to her last comment yet. "Y-you loved the name we gave you?" Laxion then stood, wiping away his tears and commanding his spear to fly up to his hand. He swallowed. "Ruby... what happened to you? You died. And now- now you're calling yourself Euphemia? We mourned you for months, why didn't you contact us or- or done something? The Guildeam even erected a statue of you in Neutral City."

Euphemia (Ruby)

Laxion was so distraught that he could barely form a sentence, but his few words were enough information. She's been gone half a year and for some reason he insinuated that she loved her old name. Sighing, she bluntly replied, "It's so plain. But like I said, call me what you wish...Laxion." his name rolled off her tongue in an unpleasant manner. Relinquishing his tears and standing tall to where she had to bend her head all the way back to look at him, he summoned his spear and began spouted an array of questions. Before she could answer, she heard Tsuna totting up the cliff side behind them and quickly covered her face. "Thank goodness, you're all fine." the red head breathed out running to her partner and stopping in front of her. "I told you I'd be okay. Anyway, the professor didn't fair well in battle. Get him to the infirmary for me. I'll transport you two to the base, alright?" Tsuna nodded and believed her with no doubts about her real motives. She ducked down next to Ivan and the two were consumed by petals that disbursed when they disappeared.

Once they were out of sight, she smirked turned back to Laxion. "Now, what were we talking about? Oh yes, my death, rebirth, and sudden appearance. I can't explain it myself, one minute it was dark them the next minute a kind woman had plucked me from a riverbank. At the time, I didn't even know who I was much less say a word. The memories of my previous life didn't manifest until recently and within that time I needed to be called by something. Did you really morn me? Aren't I replaceable?" she sounded so cruel, but seeing the students being trained they seemed like good candidates for team Elixer. "Anyway, I had no means of contacting you. The shock of me being here is to overwhelming. And since there's a statue in memory of me...i'd probably be better off dead." she mocked as she slowly turned and walked away from Laxion. "If that's what you want, to make all this disappear, then let me fulfill your wish." Euphemia strolled over to the cliff side and looked down, it was a long fall and she'd definitely die before she hit the ground. Closing her eyes, she began to lean forward wondering how Laxion would react.
