Wood carving
After trying his hand at wood carving during an art class back in high school, James has developed a keen interest in it and now enjoys challenging himself during the weekends by carving various animals out of wood. Depending on what he is carving and how intricate its design is intended to be, each of these carvings can take him from weeks to months to complete. Thus far, he has only kept one of his carvings for himself (a simple one of a fox), the rest of which he puts aside and donates to the local charity as a batch for sale during the quarterly fundraiser fair that it organises.
Tennis
He is a member of a club that consists of other like-minded individuals who are into tennis as a way to have fun, get a good workout as well as to meet new people. His skill places him at a slightly above average level compared to the rest of the club members and he can be found at the club about twice a week.
Sketching
So long as he has a piece of paper with him, a pencil/pen in hand with some time to spare, James can be found doodling whatever strikes his fancy from his immediate surrounding. He leans towards sketching females but can do males just as well so long as he is in the mood to draw them.

Kind
James is the type of guy who can never turn away anyone in need, be it a total stranger or a friend. So long as the issue involves something that he is able to render assistance in, he will step forward to offer his help without any hesitation on his part or at least point the person to where they could seek help to resolve their problems. The extent to which he would help a person is of course within reason with respect to how well he knows him/her. The sky is the limit if the person who requires his aid is a close friend or family. On the other hand, he would draw the line with regards to how far he would go should the other person be a total stranger.
Approachable
Being friendly and cheerful with a smile on his face at all times, people tend to feel at ease when they are around James. He is always willing to listen to what someone has to tell him without judging him/her for it and it is because of this aspect of him that people have a habit of opening up to him after spending a period of time with him.
Flaws:
Flirt
James sees himself as a ladies' man and can often times be found chatting them up even to the point of being overly friendly. He is popular with the ladies because of his looks and mannerisms although he doesn't quite see any harm with what he is doing so long as he doesn't sleep around with them.
Defensive
James has a habit of feeling very strongly about anything that concerns him and as such, tends to get defensive whenever someone passes a remark on his work or aptitude. Even if what the other person says is the truth in reality, he will refuse to listen or agree with what was brought up and will come up with all sorts of reason to back up what he thinks.
