School: DCU, she’s doing general liberal arts as she hasn’t figured out a major yet. She’s getting, by doing general liberal arts, a taste for all different things and will decide later.
Hobbies: Shopping - Genevieve loves to shop! She enjoys the thrill of finding new things, pretty things, and figuring out what she can match them with. This doesn't just apply to clothing as it also applies to her room and other aspects of her parents large home. She likes to think of what she can put in which room and what else can be added to achieve a certain look, a certain feel. She enjoys seeing the new things people come up with, fashion wise, and she enjoys pampering herself and others as well. it's just the whole euphoric and good feel that comes with shopping, in general, which Genevieve loves and what drives her out to the mall, boutiques, and other stores fairly often.
Event planning - Her aunt has a new baby? It's her cousins birthday? her mom is hosting a tea and lunch for her friends? Don't worry Genevieve will help plan things. from the menu to how the table should be laid out and what can be done, the activities. She enjoys planning things as it is not only a good excuse to go shopping but it gives her something to do with the good amount of free time she has on her hands, free time she does not like. Her love of planning things has brought about ideas of being a professional event planner, it does sound like a lot of fun and stress but the fun! She just hasn't mentioned this idea to her parents yet, though she doubts they'll be upset by it. She has cut outs from various magazines in several binders already, all different ideas, with notes jotted down just waiting to be put to good use.
Fashion design: With how much Genevieve likes to shop is it any surprise that she also likes to think up ideas? How that dress she saw yesterday might look better? Could be altered to look edgier? Or maybe more elegant. She has sketchbooks full of doodled out designs and binders full of pictures with notes paper-clipped to them. The sketchbooks themselves have pictures paper-clipped to them as well, in order to show the original next to her design. She dabbles in making her own clothing, including Halloween costumes, and designing and sewing up little odds and ends for her youngest family members. If being an event planner doesn't work out maybe she can get into fashion design? it is a thought but it is a hell of a career to get into and stand out in, so many people and so many looks. it would be hard but she's sure if she got into this industry she could stand apart from the crowd.
Virtues:Generous: For one as greedy as she is she can also help others and give them things they need, especially if it helps them to better themselves – as they should want to do! She figures everyone wants to better themselves, to be better at whatever it is they do or want to do, and so if she can help she will find a way, even if it means begging or lying to her parents in order to do so. Perhaps it also helps to balance out her own sense of guilt when she gets something for herself by underhanded means.
Social butterfly: Genevieve knows everyone who’s anyone! And if she doesn’t she’ll just have to meet them, or find someone who does know them. The girl may only be 19 but she has been attending social events with her parents for ages and has thus met most of the people who attend them, and grown up knowing these people. These are people who’s children she grew up with and knows, very well mind you, and she enjoys talking to all of these people, young, old, male, female, it matters little to her. She’s grown up around them and is comfortable with them,. The same can be said for those she’s gone to school with. She’s good with talking to people, she’s had to be due to all these events and the schools she’s gone to. So she has no issue in starting up conversations with people and fluttering about large crowds of people.
Protective: Genevieve is hard to get along with, due to her greed and her attitude, and she sort of knows and accepts this. She understands people don't like her attempts at helping them better themselves, although why she can't help but not understand. The greed she supposes she can see, after all she does suffer from bouts of guilt due to it at times, but she does get her friends nice things as well and things they need somehow find their way to the person in need. It's because she's hard to deal with that the few friends she has, true friends, she treasures and protects. Don't you dare mess with her friends! She will make you sorry you ever crossed swords with them or her. She isn't the sort to do something up close and in your face, it's not how she works, she is the sort to work in the background and in the shadows. From finding out what you may be doing, which your parents certainly wouldn't like, to when and where those little bits of information might just make their way to your parents...with pictures even. Or if your cheating on your girlfriend/boyfriend pictures might make it to the person your cheating on. Some might call it blackmail but she calls it justice. If you've upset a friend of hers enough for her to dig up information on what you do, and who you do, ect...then you deserve whatever befalls you as far as she's concerned. You will not hurt her friend(s). She needs them, she can trust them, and they were hard to come by and she knows she may not ever be able to replace them.
Flaws: Entitlement: What many would call greed is really entitlement. She deserves what she gets, or needs/wants it and so she will get it. It’s not like her family can’t afford it! Her parents however have vastly differing opinions from her, if only they’d see things her way, and don’t like for her to spend so much and get so many things. They don’t want a spoiled, or greedy, child. To combat this Genevieve has started to lie about things or minimize things, such as much she needs or how important something is. She’ll even get approved for a small amount of money and snitch just a tiny bit more so she can afford the item, which she claimed was cheaper than it really is.
Guilt Complex: She may think, at the present time, that she needs or deserves what she wants but that doesn’t help her once she’s gotten the item. It’s afterwards that the guilt over lieing, stealing (because that’s what snitching really is), sets in and it’s hard and fast to set in. She knows it’ll happen and yet it doesn’t stop her every time from doing the same thing. To combat this, or at least deal with it, Genevieve will put the item(s) she bought somewhere that she can’t see it for a while. Anything to put some distance between her and her purchase(s) till the feelings subside. After all what you see you can’t feel guilt about – right?
Better than you: She’s smug to put it simply. If she’s good at something she has no problem letting everyone about her know and showing off, in a rather blatant manner no less. She will lord it over someone’s head if they aren’t as good as her, she really has no issue in doing this and sees it as her just working to make you become better at it, and this can cause issues of course. People who are insulted, hurt, upset, and argue her about it or various other reactions, very few seem to appreciate this. Then again she isn’t happy when someone does it to her and feels insulted. She just doesn’t get it – she does it too!
