Jordan moved through a set of stretches as he waited for Cee to show up at the training fields. He hadn't expected to meet her in the waking world, not after all this time; he wasn't sure how closely she would match her other, and his own other set of memories had been stirred up by the recollection, a dreamlike overlay on his experience of the world. He touched the side of his neck thoughtfully, the spot where his other had been marked. In this world and this self, of course, it was not there. A set of scars from a ghost's claws trailed down his neck instead. How different would she be? How was she adjusting to her weapon's presence in her mind? Any way this went, it would be an interesting encounter. Ferros, too, watched alertly, curious about this person who was and wasn't the woman they remembered.

Cee came sashaying out of the dorms with a high ponytail and her bangs clipped back into a mini-bump. She was a petite thing, even shorter while wearing sneakers instead of heels, and for the most part looked like her kingdom self minus the gowns and pearls. Her trainee coat was synched at the waist in a wide black fashion belt and she seemed to have made an attempt to pop the collar for a less lame appearance. Seeing Jordan she grinned and waved, jogging over and getting quite a few looks for her ample bouncing assets and clingy black leggings. Even for training she was completely made up and smelled like she was going to a club. "What uuuuupppp! Blue kingdooooooom hahah.." Cee playfully slapped him in the arm as she approached. She was exhuberant, high energy and seemed to be pretty positive about all of this. "Ah'm Cee." She thrust a manicured hand out. "For a real in tha flesh human introduction."

Jordan eyed Cee curiously as she jogged up, giving her a quick once-over that had more to do with assessment of her state of fitness than with her assets, though he noted that she'd taken time over her grooming, even for this. He shook her hand when she offered it. "I'm Jordan," he replied. "No particular need for formalities here. Nice to meet you in the waking world." He stepped back, resting his hand on the hilt of one of the two daggers strapped to his belt. "So. Would you introduce me to your weapon and tell me what you know about her?"

There was no visible doubt about her fitness. Even with having been in a pod for a while she was trim and toned. The round softness of her hips suggested that slacking on her workout routine could result in an easily more full figure, but Cee had always made an effort never to end up as plump as her mother. "Oh umm.." She gestured to her ankle where a silver bracelet with small thorns lay above her very flashy sneakers. "She's called Snap. She don't talk much and she was some sorta vine monster." Cee hadn't summoned the whips at all since she'd bonded. She couldn't admit to being slightly scared of the weapon as that would show too much weakness. Even so she didn't mind playing the bumbling newb. It took her too long of a second to summon. She hadn't been sure how to do it, touching the bracelet a moment, thinking of taking it off to hold, but eventually Snap urged her to just concentrate. With a small flash (and Cee literally jumping with surprise), the twin bladed whips appeared in both of her hands.

Jordan nodded. "A pleasure to meet you too, Snap," he addressed the paired whips. He remembered her vaguely as a gaunt, severe woman with green lipstick; however, by the time Snap had manifested visibly in Blue Kingdom, Jordan had had other things to worry about, and they hadn't spoken. "This is Ferros," he added, and held up his right hand to show Cee and Snap the heavy ring with its red stone. The stone lit briefly from within, Ferros's wordless greeting. "Has Snap said anything to you about her Fear shield?" Jordan asked. He drew one of the daggers he carried, holding it easily.

Cee held the whips out to her sides, almost as if she were wary of putting them near herself. Perhaps she was slightly frightened that they would move on their own, wrap around her and squeeze in the same way she felt inside. Snap, with her lack of words, had made it clear that Cee was someone to be held back. What was better for a whip to do than punish? "Ferros.." Cee repeated, one of the rare moments she made an effort to enunciate correctly. "Coo. Well she don't say a lot. But I read up a bit on the phone." She shrugged. "Like they protect us or whatever right?" She paced, finally getting the gumption to twist her wrists and make the metal whips flip in a gentle small circle. "When I had one'a my dreams I woke up from my pod and there was a... Dr. H." She got a wolfish grin at the memory. "He told us we were weak and helpless witout our bonds. So I'm assumin we're strong and protected wit em." Cee looked to Jordan with wide curious eyes, as it looking for teacher to tell her she'd done a good job. She didn't tell him that she'd stepped on a rusty piece of metal in her dungeon room and watched with glee as it went right through her toe to no effect. She'd felt a sharp pain.. but not like she should have.

"Right," Jordan agreed. "We're stronger and tougher than normal humans, and the weapons generate what's called a Fear shield. Fear's the energy that Halloween creatures are created from and feed on. It's also what Hunter weapons feed on. When you take a hit that would hurt you, your weapon reflexively produces a shield that takes the damage instead." He held up his left hand and stabbed the dagger through his palm in one quick motion, then turned his hand a little so that Cee could see that the blade had gone through cleanly and without blood. Then he pulled it back out and showed her that the blade hadn't left a wound. "Doesn't mean you can't get hurt, though," he warned her. "Once your shield has taken enough damage, it'll break. Then you'll be just as breakable as anyone else." He tugged the collar of his shirt down to show her the top end of a deep scar that started at his collarbone and vanished down under his shirt. "We heal fast, but it's better to avoid landing in the infirmary in the first place if you can. Snap will be able to tell you when your shield's getting close to breaking. Pay attention to her." He put the tip of the dagger against his thumb and drew a slow line; a bead of blood welled up. "Shield won't activate for really minor things, either," he explained. "You can still pick up small cuts and bruises. But they heal fast. This will be gone by evening." He wiped the drop of blood off on the end of his scarf. "Either of you got anything you want to ask?"

Cee watched with wide eyes as he stabbed through his hand. It didn't shock her as much as it possibly should have. The young woman just sort of smirked and nodded. Jordan was very thorough, without frills but also without trying to assert any sort of dominance in his role. She could appreciate that. There seemed to be quite a few egos floating around the island. The reveal of his scar definitely widened her eyes. They say chicks dig scars but she'd found that up close they really weren't as 'hot' as made out to be. For the sake of beauty she promised herself to avoid permanent marring at all costs. "Can't think of nothing. Yer pretty good with the explanations. Thanks." She nodded and moved to flip her hair, but realizing she was holding a whip in each hand put a sour expressin on the womans face. She blew awkwardly at her bangs instead. "So like.." She held up a whip, testing it's weight like she was thinking of trying to flick it. "you probly way stronger than me, right?"

"Yes," Jordan agreed, but without condescension or superiority. It was just a fact. "You'll get stronger over time as your bond with your weapon grows deeper. We've had three years so far to work together." He shifted the dagger to his left hand and stepped back, extending his right hand out and to the side; with a swirl of metallic motes, Ferros materialized in his hand. The hammer's head was easily bigger than his wielder's torso; he was a good six feet long in all. He stayed summoned long enough for Cee to get a good look at him, then desummoned himself, returning to ring form. Jordan drew the other dagger he carried. "I'll be using runic daggers for this spar. We don't really feel it's fair to summon on new trainees," he explained with a grin. "First hit's yours. Don't worry about hurting me. I can take it." He moved easily into a defensive stance, feet apart and staggered for stability, the daggers held up in front of him. "When you hit me, you'll feel Snap gathering Fear energy. Once she has enough, she'll be able to produce a specialized charged attack. You'll know when she's charged. You can't miss it. Show me what you've got." Cee actually jumped back a bit when Ferros materialized. He was huge and impressive and she now vaguely matched him to a foggy memory from the blue kingdom. It was pretty amazing to see those images translated into what she'd finally accepted as the real world. "Yeah.. a'right." He would be fighting her with some dinky looking daggers but the looked a bit easier to use than her own weapons. Cee took a step back and flunger her whip at Jordan. It was hardly the correct method of striking, and more like a she was swinging a bat. In her head Snap rumbled with displeasure but the blades on the weapon were at least sharp and Jordan would find himself getting knicked slightly. HP: 40/40 Dmg: 1 Charge: 1/3

The whip's blades slithered across Jordan's arm, and he turned with the motion to dodge the flailing end of the weapon, flicking one dagger up against the lash to knock it away from him. "You're swinging like you're holding something solid," he observed. "She's not a polearm. You know anything about waveform physics?" He wasn't going to assume she didn't; she might present herself as a flashy bimbo, but style didn't dictate intelligence or education. He circled to the side, gauging the length of Snap's lashes and estimating her reach. Cee held the whips out away from her body, he noticed, keeping them away from herself. It kept the blades from nicking her, but it also left her awkwardly wide open. "You're going to have your best advantage at a short range, like we do. Try to avoid letting your opponent get in close." He lunged in as he spoke, using his forearm to knock her off hand out of the way, and sank a dagger deep into her side, driving the point home in a very literal way. HP: 60/60 Dmg: 11 (oh my god what dice)

Cee actually laughed when he asked if she knew about waveform physics. "Do I look like I know anythin about wavewhatever physics?" She let her guard down completely for the conversation and soon found one of Jordan's daggers plunged between her ribs. The momentary pain made her hiss but then.. there was nothing. She knew the sheild was doing it's work but it was too new to be ignored. <******** crazy.." The woman muttered, hopping away to strike again. This time she used the other hand and tried not to use it like a bat. She visualized whips she'd seen in movies and made some attempt to flick her wrist. Snap hummed as more FEAR was siphoned but had yet to comment on her wielder's technique. "I learn more by doin." She clarified to Jordan, trying to figure out a way to block with these things. "Science and stuff with things I couldn touch'er see were always stupid confusin." HP: 29/40 Dmg: 3 Charge: 2/3

"Hey, I try not to assume." Jordan grinned. "For all I know, you could have three doctorates and just have your own distinctive sense of style." He jumped back as she flicked one of the whips, but it landed more solidly this time. He'd made his point about defense, a little more strongly than he'd quite intended; he fell back into a defensive stance again, watching her closely. "Use your whole arm," he suggested. "If you use the core of your body to start your attack, it'll have more strength. Let the motion start from your chest and shoulder muscles, like a ripple." "Science is another way to talk about the world, is all," he said. "You use physics naturally without having to think about it, every time you move around. The math just describes the way stuff works. Like, you toss a ball, the curve it makes, there's equations that can predict that shape. But you don't have to know the math to use it. Your brain does that all on its own, on the fly." HP: 57/60 Defending for: 10

"I get it.." Cee's brow was wrinkled and it was clear that perhaps she didn't enjoy getting speeches about the merits of things she just couldn't grasp. At least she was making an effort not to be an overt b***h about it. Inwardly she thought such a small effort was worth commending. "I guess I'm more concerned with how you move you arm to get that curve erry time instead of why science an math makes it so. The curve isself is useful. The action of doing it is worth knowin. Don' care much about why dat is." She did follow his advice though and with some concentration on how her arm was moving, and actual instinctual urges from Snap, she struck again against Jordan's strong defense. Despite her projected demeanor, Cee was not wrong about her ability to learn by doing. Each of her strikes had been stronger and this one was no different. Her ability to follow direction and focus was undeniable. With that last strike her whips hummed with green glowing light and mentally Snap felt like a coiled spring ready to explode with action. HP: 29/40 Dmg: 4 Charge: 3/3

"Oh hey, I got into lecture mode there. Sorry." Jordan smiled, a little sheepishly. "Either way, you're doing well." He noted the way Snap's runes lit up and nodded. "She's got a charge ready? Show us what you've got." He braced himself, raising the daggers and taking a wide stance. There was no telling what kind of charge Snap had; it could be a powerful strike, some strange effect, or even a heal. Judging by what he'd seen of Cee so far, though, he was guessing that her weapon would be inclined to be aggressive. HP: 57/60 Defending for: 4 iloveyouDIE ty for bein patient with me ;u;
