No one had followed her. Thank god.

Lellouch touched down on the roof to her brother's place and she hastily made a beeline for the roof top entry way. She was careful not to jolt the unconscious General around to much. She wanted to make as little noise as possible as she made her way to what had become her make shift room. There was no need to alert the short haired blonde who resided on the floor below to her presence just yet.

Once in her room, Lellouch carefully deposited her load onto the bed before powering down. She was glad to see that he had powered down in the time it had taken her to get them here. Now she was Jaysen. There was no more Lellouch. They were safe for now. They could breathe... No one would have anyway to find them now.

The teenage girl then left the room, heading for the nearest bathroom and hall closet as she began a mad search for any bandages, balms or whatever she could use to treat the General's injuries. Darting back into the room Jay dumped everything on the bed side stand before making quick work of her new guests shirt. She tossed it aside with little grace as she then rolled him over on his stomach.

Jay cringed at the sight of the bruise and for a moment she couldn't tell if it was as bad as it looked. But that didn't matter now. Treat it. Take care of his injuries. She hissed mentally.

Jaysen just hoped it would be enough.

It wasn't just bruises though. Something sharp had been in that cement that had hit him, not to mention the whole fire and burning thing. The blond, Alexandre, now lay on her bed bleeding from a deep gash that had ripped into his uniform when he'd been powered up, as no rip had shown on his shirt and given reason for the blood stain on it that had been growing in size since he'd powered down. But it was also the burn flesh at the back of his neck where his hair had been out of the way, due to how it had been laying when he'd been on the ground, so he had a nice burn that was an angry red color on his neck. He'd be sore and hurting when he woke up, that was without a doubt.

If the mental and emotional weren't bad enough the physical only made it all worse, maybe it would distract him from some of the emotional and mental though? Not likely though. Even his face didn't look at peace, like there was something bothering him. Tear tracks stained his cheeks and had his skin stiff in the areas they had run.

Tonight had been a night for him, for Lellouch. it wasn't something he'd wish on any new, or fairly new, member of the Negaverse and yet she had been there and witnessed it all.

Benitoite, or now Alexandre Evans, really didn't look so intimidating as he was short and while it was obvious he worked out or did something it wasn't to the point of being buff just toned. he was slender in frame and with fair skin. He had a scar here or there, from fights, but nothing screamed killer or fighter about him. he looked like any other teenager; only he wasn't. She had seen who Bischofite was tonight also...she had seen Alois and seen what lay beyond the uniform of a General. That they were normal, or had been normal in the case of Bischofite.

Jaysen just moved from one spot to the next as gently as she could. The skin was agitated and raw in places be it from the burns or the jagged piece of rock that crashed down on him. She'd have to wait on the burns she realized. He'd need to get those checked to assess how bad they were. Balms and the like could do more damage then harm, so for now she worked on any open cuts.

She had to stop a few times and listen to make sure he was even still breathing. When she couldn't determine it from just looking at him she'd lean over and tuck her ear close to mouth. Once she had her proof that yes, he was still breathing, Jaysen would relax the smallest bit, releasing a quiet sigh of her own.

When she was done with what she could bandage on his back, Jaysen gave his arms a quick once over before collapsing against the wall next to the bed. Now she could do nothing except wait. Wait and think.

Where did she even begin? Tonight... Tonight had been something. There were no words to describe it. At least none that she could properly fit to the scene. Though if she had to pick one that came the closest?

Chaos.

Pulling out the switch blade that had taken up a permanent home in her short's pocket, she placed the hard casing on the floor and spun it. Her mind drifted to various places as she watched it spin in circles before ultimately stopping. Would Beni- ... this guy, whoever this was, wake up. She hoped he did. Jay had possibly lost one General. She didn't need to lose a second.. She spun the casing again. Where had Chalcanthite gone, she wondered. Was he alright? Was Bischofite?

Bischofite...

Jaysen sighed as she tilted her head back against the wall. She had so many questions. So many things she wanted answered. But once again, where did she even begin? She had no way to even find Chalcanthite. And the blonde was not powering up only to leave her half dead catch here on his own. That wouldn't be fair to him.

So once again she was back to square one. Waiting and thinking.

It was a while, maybe hours, maybe minutes, before the darkness slowly retreated from his mind as it gave up it's strangle hold on the blonds consciousness. At first he didn't feel anything aside from a dull throb, somewhere around his shoulders and upper back, the dull throb though morphed into an ache and than outright pain as he gasped and shifted. Shifting wasn't a terrific idea but it wasn't as painful as he imagined it would have been. What the hell had happe - oh. The memories of tonight hit him suddenly and a choked sound escaped him.

One hand, his left one, clutched at the bedding under him tightly. He didn't know, nor particularly care, where he was right now. If he wasn't safe he'd make himself safe, somehow, and if he was safe than that was good. Why had Bischofite not told him his true plans? If what he'd been told had been in fact true. Why Likely Alois didn't think he'd support it, and he'd have been right, and so he wouldn't have helped him accomplish the goal...a goal which wasn't to be. There was no second rift and no youma terrorizing people in mass and destroying every human in the city as they feasted upon the starseeds of everyone.

As much as he liked youma he never would have trusted one with planning something, and not because he'd figure they'd have some malicious plannings of their own going on, but he wouldn't have trusted a youma to plan something because they didn't know as much of the modern world and things as they should. They didn't understand things, even the smart ones, as they hadn't lived in this world. He might trust Bazzite but that was different, he would always be different, but now Bischofite was among them in the Rift. The blond, who lay there with his eyes shut tight, realized the other wouldn't be able to live amongst normal people again. He could visit but never live.

"A youma...half..." He hadn't changed as drastically as Bazzite had. he was half youma. The words had come out as a broken whisper but one filled with such loss. Again his hand tightened on the bedding before loosening. Already he could feel the tell tale pinpricks of tears coming on. Would he ever stop crying? How could he get over such a devastating loss? Bazzite was bad, his mother being shot was bad, this was bad as well. Three strikes...maybe he wouldn't suffer so again? he'd paid his dues finally? Biting his lip he shook his head slowly, gasping as pain exploded and cried out. God what had happened to him?

The gasp and sudden gentle rustle of fabric caused Jaysen to jump as she came crashing back to reality. Her head snapped to the side and she found that her little guest was now awake and squirming. "Hey. Easy does it." The blonde urged as she moved to kneel closer to the bed. Her switchblade lay abandoned on the floor as it finished yet another set of rotations. "...You got hurt. Some of the warehouse came down and landed on your shoulders. You've got some bad bruises and burns. I've done all I could but..." She trailed off. He should still get himself checked out when he was able to move a little more freely. "Just try not to move around too much."

The words caused her to stop moving and her gaze softened as she watched him. With a quiet sigh she placed her hand over his again, squeezing it gently. "Shh..." Jay cooed softly. Her other hand moved to rest on his head as she began stroking his hair lightly. In all honesty, she couldn't blame him for his reaction. It was evident he knew Bischofite far more then she ever did. He needed this. He needed to cry and get whatever he was feeling out of his system. "Just breathe... you're safe Beni." The wrong name, she knew. But she hoped it gave him sense of familiarity. He wasn't just some nameless person caught in the chaos of that night.

When he cried out and shook his head, Jaysen again squeezed his hand with a gentle murmur of 'easy now'. "Don't move just yet.. Can I get you anything?" Jaysen asked. "Pain killers perhaps? Water?"

Slowly his head lifted and slate eyes focused on someone unfamiliar to him but she knew him, she knew who he was. "Alexandre...it's Alexandre." he whispered softly, his throat hurt, from screaming and crying. He now knew why the rest of him hurt though.

His head went back down to the bedding below as he kept his head turned and his eyes fastened on the blond. "Who?" He needed to know who he was with, who was helping him and keeping him safe, from himself and anyone else. He knew whoever it was also was likely to be the same person who knocked him out but that, at the moment, didn't matter as much. He still was processing the whole night and his currant position. So much had happened and all within a single nights time. it was a lot to take in and it was just...so much emotionally for him he just wished he could shut off certain parts of himself. If he could shut off his emotions, or certain ones, he'd be ok. he was certain he could live without those motions and he wished there were buttons to turn them off, or something, he would like that right now. it hurt so much inside.

"he's a half youma now...like Tanzanite was.." he whispered and bit down on his bottom lip. "He once said he'd die in the rift. I begged him to come back above with me and that when he died, or was dying, I'd bring him down there." And he couldn't and the other was alive, when he'd died he'd risen back up like a phoenix, and now would have to live there. "How could they...how could they turn on him..." One of their own.

"Hi Alexandre...." She said softly as she continued to stroke his hair. " 'm Jaysen. But you know me better as Lellouch..." The blonde gave him a small smile in hopes it could help him relax. "I wasn't part of this when Tanz was around..." Jay had only heard bits and pieces of who this Tanzanite was. ...Perhaps she'd start asking more questions in the future.

"I don't know Alex... It doesn't make sense to me either." It never made sense to her when any organization would harbor 'traitors' only to turn on those that had started on their side to begin with. Bischofite had once told her in the very beginning that she would end up having to deal with a lot of s**t from others if she followed him. Maybe this was what he meant. "...We'll figure something out alright? We can go track Chal down later."

"Jaysen...it's different. It works." He said with a slow nodding of his head. He didn't know what to have expected her name to be but Jaysen wasn't it, but it worked and it was different. Different was good when it came to names, so long as it wasn't eye roll worthy. Laughing, something dry and harsh sounding, he managed a strained smile to the other blond. "Tanzanite was a General Queen...I saw her and spoke with her briefly." Very brief but he had seen her. She was impressive and a sight to be seen really. The arm of hers especially and the wings. He didn't go into it though, now wasn't the time or place and he wasn't up for talking a whole lot.

"Thank you...for the help." He should be upset with the methods she'd used upon his person, and maybe he would be later, but he couldn't find it within himself at present. He just wasn't able to get those feelings stirred up within himself. "no...I don't think I can see Bischofite right now...not after...after that." he trailed off, hesitated, and didn't wish to continue that sentence but he'd gotten it out. "I can't."

"Jay also works by the way. I answer to both." The hand that was on his head retreated and she laid it on the bed before resting her own head on top of it. "Oh yeah?? I bet that was something. What did you think of her?" Mindless small talk, but much needed small talk. If it got him to think about something else then it was alright with her.

"No problem.." Came the murmur. "I'm sorry for having to knock you out like that though.. And I'm sorry for letting you get hurt like you did." They had needed to get out of there, the both of them. And he was too lost in a bloodlust. "I didn't know how to get you out of there and I thought it was best if I just... took over." She realized she'd be in trouble for her methods but... She'd done worse. Too late now.

Jaysen squeezed his hand again. "Just breathe... I didn't say we had to see Bischofite. I just said we can track Chal.. We could have called him to the roof for a moment. You could talk to him through the communicator crystal can't you?" There was a series of light taps at the window and Jay turned to find a black bird, a raven, sitting on the ledge. She rolled her eyes when it was eventually joined by too more. "Baby steps." She mumbled as the blonde ignored the birds outside. Then she leveled Alex with a serious gaze. "...You're not going to avoid him are you?"

"Jaysen is good." Came the softly spoken words before he glanced the hand which had left his head, had that been there the whole time? Watching her head rest on her own hand he closed his eyes for a moment before opening them again. "She was interesting. Well respected. She had wings, big ones, and a monstrous hand...i think it could eat things." Like that kitten it looked she was going to become some meal for the hand. He wasn't sure and he had no clue about that kittens fate, he wasn't sure he wanted to know even.

She thought she'd be in trouble but she wasn't, not from him yet and even then she wouldn't be really. "You did as you had to. Though I told you to leave - I remember that." He had wanted her to leave, to be safe, no one else needed to be hurt and remain behind with him. "You acted quickly though and in mine and yours best interests." Thus the best interests of the Negaverse? Maybe? he wasn't sure right now.

Baby steps? Could he just not walk or take steps at all? It sounded like a very good idea to him right now. he knew he had things to do, things he was obligated to bo. But he just...didn't want to. He wanted to stop time, or at least his own time, and not do anything at all. "I could...but I - I don't want to right now. I don't even know what to say or ask. I know where Bischofite will be...but yes. I can't see him...it's hard enough sometimes with Bazzite." And now another person close to him. He was planning to avoid Bischofite for as long as humanly possible, maybe till he died? Maybe with the way his life was going he'd wind up a youma, or half youma, also and then they'd see each other again.

Stretching out along the females bed, or he figured it was her bed, he took a peek at her window and sighed. "Friends of yours?"

At the glance, Jaysen removed her hand slowly. Perhaps it was a little to personal now. It served its purpose while he was hysteric. But now that he was calmer... "She sounds interesting. I wish I could have seen her when she was around."

"And I told you I wasn't going to follow that order." Jaysen snorted, pulling away to rummage through the draw of the stand. "I also told you that you had my help, whether you accepted it or not. I did exactly what I told you." The blonde paused, glancing at Alex once more. "You can't avoid him forever you know... Or rather.. Don't? I don't think that would be very fair." To either of them. "Bazzi forgives you you know. I know I don't know the entire story but I've seen enough through your interactions with him to know he cares for you regardless of what happened between you."

Jaysen went back to her rummaging before producing a lighter and a small box and setting them on the windowsill. "Mhmm.. Poe, Nevermore and Diablo." She said pointing to each one. Then with out warning Jaysen threw the window open before climbing out on the small ledge that was there as she shoo'd the birds off. "They aren't allowed inside."

"Don't mind me I just.." She tapped the box lightly. The blonde was starting to come down from the emotional high of earlier. Any gentleness or niceness or whatever Alexandre wanted to call this state that she was in would soon begone and he'd be left with the girl he'd seen before. "How are you feeling? ....You do realize I'm not letting you go home tonight right?"

"She was impressive to see. I do wonder about her death though." The how really, less than the when at least. he did wonder when exactly as well though. he didn't miss her, since he didn't really know her, but he wondered how different things might be if she hadn't left them. or would things still be as they were? He didn't know enough about her to know for sure really.

"Are there any orders you would have taken from me?" He questioned as he watched her go to her birds, with something from her bedside dresser. She figured it was a pack of smokes, he hadn't seen though. "Somehow the first two names and the last don't work well together. The first two make sense though." He stated in a somewhat off handed manner. "And why can't I? To remember what happened? What can't be, Though I suspect it never could have been. But what will never be again?" He asked as he pushed himself to sitting. The pain was there, oh god was it there, and he felt ill as he moved and forced himself to sit atop her bed.

"I figured that...and I don't want to be alone. I'll have to have someone watch my dog." But he'd be fine otherwise. He'd call his parents, they'd go over and get Cadha from his dark home.

She was dead. What a shame. "I would have liked to see her I think." Jay was curious as to what she would of thought of Tanzanite."

"Possibly. If the building wasn't coming down around us there probably would have." Though, while he did out rank her, he had to remember that he was not her Commanding Officer. "Have you ever seen the movie Sleeping Beauty? That silly Disney one? Diablo is the name of Malecifent's Raven." It was a stupid name really. But as Diablo was the oldest, and she -had- been a young child when she named him... It stuck.

Jaysen sat on the ledge rolling the lighter in her hand before she finally brought it to life. "You said it yourself Alex. It's hard enough with Bazzi." She said as she lit the cigarette before taking a drag and extinguishing the flame. "Given the way you reacted before I came over, it was obvious you knew Bischofite better then most." Jay shifted, leaning through the window to look at him once more. "Can you really ignore him? Can you do that to yourself? Can you do that to him?"

"No offence but you don't strike me as the type that breaks ties easily. You seem very people oriented to me." Jay said as she resumed her post outside. While she could definitely see the shorter blonde trying for a bit. Jay didn't think it would last forever.

"Mmm, I think some things would be different if she were around still." She stood out and perhaps in a way represented them? He didn't completely know, he hadn't known her well enough, but he could see it with her appearance and that aura she had given off. She was strong and she was a leader, a strong one, from what little he had seen of her. Throwing people out a window for talking during a meeting, putting people in line, and controlling things. He wished he'd known her better, had interacted with her more. But he hadn't really been a General then and he was more active now than then.

"You should have run and left me, you could have." He pointed out with a smake of his head, which brought a sharp hiss of pain forth. God damn he'd taken a nasty injury and his skin burned, and ached, he'd been burnt - lovely. "No, I never saw it but I understand now." He may not have seen the movie but how could he not know who the evil witch in the movie was? He knew that though he knew, from a picture he'd seen once, that she had a bird he hadn't known that it had been named in the Disney movie. It wasn't such a bad reason behind the name, it now made sense.

Squeezing his eyes shut he finally had himself sitting, her bedding pooled in his lap, as he opened his eyes slowly. "I corrupted him. He lived with me." And there was more, his voice said as much, so much more. "I think I did but there is at least one civilian who knew him in a way I didn't...or deeper perhaps. Bischofite, Alois, is..or maybe was...a deep person. A brilliant mind and ideas many wouldn't agree with, I'm sure, but good to talk with. He made you think certainly." He'd enjoyed the conversations they'd had, even if they didn't agree or see ye to eye on things. Alois was also good to talk to, to listen to and not speak, he would miss it.

"I can do it to myself to save myself the pain of seeing another who has lost the humanity they had...another who has joined the youma, even if he is only half, and is destined to live in the Rift forever. He cannot live up here with us any longer, even if he can visit at his leisure. He will never look like Alois again...or as he once did as Bischofite." He hadn't thought about Bischofite, and what he would do to him, he'd been thinking of himself and how could he not? he'd just...but Bischofite had just become...she was right but that didn't mean he was changing his mind any time soon. He couldn't emotionally handle it and he knew it.

Settling his hands into his lap he nodded once to her comment about him. He was a people person and whether it made him weak or not he couldn't care less. He liked people and made connections, sought to make them. This hurt, a lot.

"I should have and could have done a lot of things Alex." That didn't mean she had to act on them. "I could have left you sure, But then I would have had a very cross youma on my hands to deal with later, like I said. You know as well as I do that if Bazzi found out I had done nothing to keep you save we both would have been in big trouble. Even if you didn't survive that." Jaysen sighed as she listened to him shuffle about and move. "You would have done the same if the rolls were reversed I think." She said as she stared at the cigarette caught between her fingers. It was leaving nothing but a bitter taste in her mouth...

So much for unwinding.

The corner of her lip twitched and she snorted quietly as she listened to Alex explain. So that was his name... "He dropped me off a building.." She murmured offhandedly. "He is-" Was? "My commanding officer. Or atleast, his was the name I gave when people asked."

Snuffing out the half finished cigarette Jaysen crawled back through the window before sitting on the floor once more. What was she suppose to say? 'Hey, it could be worse? At least he's not dead?' No. That wouldn't be right. "You said it yourself. He's a brilliant mind. If anyone could make something like this work in their favor, I have no doubt it would be him. Jay glanced at the blonde with a curious brow. "Do I hafta do the whole speech on how you guys can still talk despite everything? Because I really don't want too. I'm too tired for this mental bullshit right now. I've only got one thing to say on the whole thing. You're not avoiding Bazzite, so why would you treat Bischofite any different?"

"I want to apologize Alex. When we first met, I said you were like my brother." The blonde said as she ran a hand through her hair. "You're not. He wouldn't avoid people like that just because s**t hit the fan." ...Well the one downstairs would. But he avoided everyone regardless. "I think it's good that you're not though..." She had tried to have her brother killed. God only knew what would happen with any 'figurative' siblings...

"Stop ******** moving about or I swear to god I will strap you to that god damn bed Alex."
