So I currently have an investment experiment going on. I invested in a 100 pack of Formal Invitation while they were still in the cash shop. I paid 7.8b for them. Now that the formal invitations have been out of the cash shop for a few days and the price has risen due to lack of stock I am trying to sell them. If this works this could be a solution for those who don't use gaia cash. I just listed 20 of them and will keep everyone updated

That's what I used to do to earn gold. To an extent, this is what I do with Advanced Chance bundles. They always dip in price the day or so before the CI opens, and then spike afterwards.
RIGs will always sell. How much you earn from them depends on how much patience you have. Especially with the rate of Gaia re-releasing popular RIGs, the price for Formal Invitations will rise for about 3-7 days and then come crashing back down when they're in the CS again.
